Think she was the one who introduced Hillary with disparaging remarks about the President. Someone her age & position should have outgrown “naive” - not the best apology, but no doubt better than nothing.
A New Hampshire businesswoman opened up a Hillary Clinton event Tuesday night with a stinging six-word criticism of President Barack Obama.
āUnlike Obama, Hillary respects rural America,ā Kathleen Kelley told the Berlin crowd, according to CNN reporter Dan Merica.
Yeh I was right. Didnāt need/want to know. More of the same dogwhistle crap from the PUMA crowd. At least tell me HRC denounced that BS. She did right? Right?!
@ZaidJilani @danmericaCNN And liberals think only the GOP practices dogwhistles
Exactly Nath! I donāt get that either…her nastiness was directed at PBO, not HRC. Secondly, her comments werenāt “unfair and naive.” They were ugly and bigoted, designed to elicit a specific response. This is not some young intern, sheās an experienced businesswoman who was selected by the campaign to introduce HRC. What she (and the HRC campaign) didnāt anticipate was the prompt and forceful pushback on Twitter. They still somehow think that itās 2008….
Just loved that they let the world see it - ty Chips and Dudette
The part about Teddy Roosevelt taking a month off out of contact - in most Westminster democracies the PM can go on holidays & the deputy is in charge during their absence.
One of the most interesting impacts of this was in my state. There had been some coverage of police corruption which the Premier (similar to Governor) had refused to discuss as he was BFF with the Police Commissioner. He went on leave & the deputy, not so good at attacking the media - managed to talk himself into starting a Commission of Enquiry. The Police Commissioner ended up in jail and this also led to the demise of the Premier (who did, however, manage to stay out of jail).
Report I heard was they brought this in because of terrorists using twitter - not because certain presidential candidates use twitter to denigrate certain folks.
I keep searching for words to express my appreciation for Lady Chips. Canāt find āem.
Nerdy, DannyO, and each and every BT, from Alaska to Australia, from India to Arizona, from Canada to Ireland and all points in between
Thanks for everything. I couldnāt have managed without all of you. I rarely delurk, but Iām here every day because this place is a treasure box of love, joy and wisdom.
After the loss of JFK, MLK, and RFK, the future turned to ashes. We knew weād been robbed.
I was one of those who thought weād lost any chance of climbing out of the MIC cesspool.
As much as I wanted a female president, and thought the Senator (at the time) was that woman, the arrival of Barack Obama on the scene was totally unexpected and Iām sure Iām not alone.
Somehow, the American electorate got it together and Barack Obama became the Democratic candidate for POTUS.
Thank the stars we were smart enough to elect him. Then he choose Senator Clinton for SoS. A stroke of genius. Who better to transition our foreign policy from the bush/kaBOOOM era.
As SoS, with her background as First Lady and an elected Senator from a major state, Ms. Clinton had serious credentials and was the perfect foil internationally, while President Obama tried to get our economy stabilized,
Perhaps itās just me, but I think President Obama and SoS Clinton laid the groundwork.
NO. Thank YOU. My sanity would have leaked out of my ears long ago without YOU and the home youāve created for all of us. May all blessings be yours.
Lynn, loved your statement-“After the loss of JFK, MLK, and RFK, the future turned to ashes. We knew weād been robbed.” That was exactly my feelings during those awful years. President Obama has kept each of their legacies alive.
Woke up at the most unseemly hour of 3:34 am (fell asleep early after a rather exhausting day), came here and was so happy to see the link posted for PBOās appearance on Seinfeldās on-line show. I had been waiting for this as soon as it was announced and was bummed that I had missed it. Thanks, Chips. Our president is so cool; he is probably the best hang-out guy among his group of close friends.
President Obama always knew what he was up against. I can just imagine him chuckling when he was told Blair House was unavailable for his family. Yes, he did want to get his girls in school and that ‘houseā had over 100 rooms.
I donāt believe he was deluded for even one second. He knew he would have to get two terms or be ‘jimmiecarteredā.(Shame on all of us for not seeing his heart), but he still went for the big one-health care reform. For over a century, itās been tried, but now he made the first step and millions are the better for it.
Impeachment of the previous administration was taken off the table by Leader Pelosi because it would have been a waste of time and political capital.
As much as we, the voters, would have liked to see the entire shrub admin held to account, the senate would not have had the necessary votes for impeachment.
Letās face it. If the Wisconsin voters could not gather enough energy to recall googleeyed walker, then he got voted back in for another term…
Does anybody really think the chenedshrub admin could have been held to account for their monstrous treason?
So many have been screaming ‘Nail wall street, grab the scummy bankersā Mob reaction. No can do. Theyāve already legalized themselves out or responsibility for anything and already have enough to escape the ‘maddening crowdā.
Your perspective have been priceless, dear Amk. I always chuckle when I see your posts. You so remind me of a life-long engineer friend of mine. Three tours in VN, travels internationally because his skills are matchless and he is still ‘wild and crazyā after all these years,
Just as some of us think a simple heart felt “I Love You” and/or “Thank You” seems to be inadequate to those we cherish in our lives; so it is with Ms.Chips and others that work so hard to create and maintain this wonderful place. Thank You!
The City regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), has shelved plans for an inquiry into the culture, pay and behaviour of staff in banking.
The FCA had planned to see whether pay, promotion and other incentives contributed to misconduct seen in previous years.
The review was meant to be a major piece of work by the watchdog.
Mark Garnier MP, a Conservative member of the Treasury Select Committee said he was “disappointed” by the decision.
He said there may have been a political motive.
Banks in the UK and abroad have been caught up in numerous scandals resulting in huge fines from regulators across the world.
In May the news agency Reuters calculated that 20 global banks had paid £152bn in fines and compensation to customers since the 2008 financial crisis.
Hahaha ROFL. Ms. Chips, between you and amk, my soul gets the greatest laughter, which as you know; laughter is absolutely good for the soul. Hahaha š š š Thanks>>
So Mr 99 wanted to buy me a late birthday present - being as doctors etc meant no birthday events - so went out and bought me a new TV - called a “smart” TV? So it connects to the internet and shows Netflix and youtube & other things.
When he stops playing with it I might get a chance to watch something :)
Not sure where I stand on his priority list (doesnāt appear to be at the top) - but he is telling everyone that he bought me a new TV for my birthday - will probably invite the neighborhood over to watch :)
So heās asleep - I watched the Sydney fireworks & was very pleased that he didnāt leave the TV in one of his “apps” where I couldnāt work out how to use it - this has been known to happen with other devices.
Wooot! Yeh Baby! Vrooom vroom!
Itās vrooooooooom vroooooooom Duuuuuuudete!
Wootie-woooooot! š
Hey Dudette, that engine sounds so good. Iām vicariously in that car.
Yay Dudette!
My Prez getting in that Obamacare plug, then peeling out in the cool ‘vette!* - Awesome Sauce! š

*Do not try this at home, kids!
[yeh theyāll ignore that, but ya gotta say it anyway]
I canāt imagine what the Secret Service was going through during the filming of this piece!!
Lots of teeth-gnashing and hair- pulling, Iād expect. š
PBO sooooooooo wanted to drive through that gate!!!
He was looking pretty cool with that Corvette lean!!
Happy New Years Eve to all the wonderful TODers on EST and GMT. šš šš šš
Thanks RanMan, Happy New Years Eve! š
Oh, my. Somebody finally got to her and twisted her arm.
Not even sure I wanna know what this is about. š

Yeh - sorry - I saw it a day or so ago - no idea if Hillary said anything - the media only repeat what they want to hear
She introduced HRC by saying. “Unlike like Obama, Hillary respects rural America.” Now we all know what that was code for.
Yep
Hahaha. Dudette, you probably already deduced/surmised what thatās about. Hahaha šššā
And looking at the reaction to the apology - the Press/GOP will no doubt repeat the original comment & ignore the apology - pfffft
I think she had a little visit to the woodshed from the HRC campaign.
Why is she apologizing to HRC? She should apologize to the President, and to the people of NH, for her blatant lies about President Obama.
Exactly Nath! I donāt get that either…her nastiness was directed at PBO, not HRC. Hi Anna - it was yesterday in my world - probably now yesterday in your time 2 - very confusing.
We are just 1.5 hours away from 2016 - the fastest 7 years of my life

yup, they have legalized tax evasion thanks to corrupt corporate cong critters. who incidentally have been elected over and over again by the voters.
Your perspective have been priceless, dear Amk. I always chuckle when I see your posts. You so remind me of a life-long engineer friend of mine. Three tours in VN, travels internationally because his skills are matchless and he is still ‘wild and crazyā after all these years,
OT. Done any dress shopping lately?
Thanks Lynn. Nah, got over that crazy shop for dress for wifey unit long time back.
Good Morning, Everyone :)

British doctors and nurses involved in the fight against the worldās worst outbreak of Ebola have been recognised in the New Year Honours list.
Among them is Dr Michael Jacobs, who leads the specialist infectious diseases team at the Royal Free Hospital in London.
He received a knighthood after helping treat three Britons who caught Ebola while working in Sierra Leone.
Staff who responded to the crisis overseas also received awards.
