I’m a little late, but catching up via my DVR. Not sure how much of this I can watch - depends on how the audience acts/reacts. Anderson the ambulance chaser might come in handy, because open-minded sane people will compare his “thought process” to the President’s, and see there’s no freakin’ comparison.

Had to mute the town hall recording for a little bit, and - just seeing the President’s annoyed look at one point - think I’ll keep it muted. President Obama can handle this, but I’m not sure I can.
Too bad George W Bush didn’t have a town hall on whether or not we should have gone into Iraq. He wouldn’t have had the guts.

Random thoughts.
More than 60 percent of the gun deaths in this country are suicides. Anderson Cooper’s older brother committed suicide, in his 20s, by jumping off a 14th-floor terrace. Apples and oranges, but the same result: somebody’s loved one, lost. Wouldn’t one think that Anderson Cooper might already be a proponent of getting guns off the streets, because of the result he and his family felt personally? Where’s the empathy in this country? Where’s the “I am my brother’s keeper” on the streets of America? Why doesn’t everyone stand up and be counted, especially those already affected by senseless killings and suicides - which, technically, could be said to be all of us, because it’s our country? Polls, schmolls. Let’s do this, America. Get behind our President.
