Hello Roberta - sorry I missed your post - summer has been quite mild - however today we are using the cooling at 8am in the morning - so temps are picking up. Many parts of the country are burning - we are lucky to be well away from same. I cannot imagine living with snow & ice and -27.

- person collecting the work pool is one of my closest friends so I knew that should a miracle happen, I would get the first call that the electronic images of the ticket were indeed still the same as the original she had in her hands and that we were taking it for safe keeping;
- we kept joking about what we would do with all that money and decided we were in over our heads;
- many workmates who have never played before chipped in their $2 that by time of draw the number of participants was 60 ….. so many dreams crushed;
- yes, I will be chipping in my $2 once again …. so there goes part of my candy money for the week;
we live in hope …. like someone we all know reminds us “there is nothing false about hope, ……, hope is the bedrock of this nation”

Observation - Natural born citizen was placed in the constitution to prevent Alexander Hamilton from becoming President and at that time it meant you had to be born in what is actually US territory. Did the definition change, or did politicians change the meaning and citizens didn’t bother to question things as they approved the candidate, or more likely they weren’t paying attention. Of course it only became an issue when the candidate was not the ‘right’ colour. If the original intent (albeit racist) of the clause is to be followed, George Romney, John McCain and Ted Cruz would not be eligible to be President. Founding fathers suspected Alexander Hamilton of having “black blood”, hence the clause; some enterprising lawyer need to challenge ‘natural born’ vis-a-vis the original intent. Any thoughts or observations on this are welcome as perhaps some legal change etc was made that I am not aware of.
I agree and would add that natural born is only mentioned once for presidential qualifications in Consitution , it isn’t mention as prequsites for any other federal office. In conclusion, our laws are based upon precedence, meaning a case before, if natural born goes unchalleded per say and Rafael Cruz or anyone is elected president who was not born in usa, after that it’s open for anyone to run.
