I feel as if we were preparing for a historic moment that will be remembered for generations. How fortunate we all are to have made this journey together.

There will be young candidates and candidates of many shapes and colors but I have to agree with amk – I will never see another like PBO in my lifetime – the GOP and the media tried and failed to find ANY negatives that would stick – all they found was an intelligent, educated family man who understands how families work, how an economy works and how the world works.
He cares for the poorest of his countrymen & talks with the richest. As my father used to say – He is a man of kings and paupers – I cannot believe there is only a year left – I cannot believe that people voted for those who would rob him of the ability to do good for the US and the world.
I love what Judith had to say – it must be shouted from the rooftops and proclaimed by the callers – this is and was Camelot and I will not see it again.
We won’t see it again, 99ts, because that’s what greatness means. It’s rare and it’s meant to elevate our expectations. There will be other competent Democratic presidents, but PBO will be the benchmark, the epitome of what they all will strive for.

Iran has removed the core of its Arak heavy-water nuclear reactor and filled it with cement, according to the country’s official news agency Fars.
The fate of the reactor was one of the toughest sticking points in Iran’s long nuclear negotiations last year.
Under the terms of the deal, Iran agreed the heavy-water reactor would be reconfigured so it was not capable of yielding material for a nuclear weapon.
The removal of the core is one of the final steps required by the deal.

I am touched by the story of Pres Obama’s offer, but not the least bit surprised. That is the man with character, loyalty, and compassion that we know.
I accidentally clicked a video in the TOD sidebar, and heard President Obama’s voice in my living room. Since I have some guilty-pleasure reality show on my DVR I’m watching, I knew it wasn’t the teevee and so I thought he was outside my front door for a second.

reading and watching VP Biden’s story about PBO’s offer of financial help, I, again, got angry at the republicans who have targeted VP for a denial of a salary increase.
