      • January 13, 2025 at 6:04 pm

I hope 72 hours of a mourning period is long enough after the Vikings played to bring up the game….freaking Blair Walsh used to destroy us every year when Georgia would play Auburn…I was so pissed for you and the hopes of being able to play the Packers/Washington winner (both of who got destroyed by the Panthers already this year)

It’s too soon!!!!! 😫😥😢. I’m convinced Minnesota will never win a Super Bowl in my lifetime. Congrats to your Panthers though - keep knockin’ ’em down!! Seattle will wish they had lost to the Vikes lol.

I’m so freaking nervous, Forus!!! When Carolina had two 80 yrd drives to win in Seattle this year it was early in the season and they let Greg Olsen run wild…now they have Bobby Wagner back for this game and Jeremy Lane too (they cut Carey Williams after the Panthers torched him) …My best case scenario is somehow beat Seattle and avoid AZ by GB miraculously winning :???:

It was a pretty sorry loss. I think I was in shock for a good 15 minutes. I remember when Gary Anderson sometimes blew a game and he was one awesome kicker.

Ya that one may sting for a while, but I don’t think as Viking fan you could have imagined Bridgewater taking the squad and winning the NFC North in year two…so much upside and talent on your roster. Chin Up, Roberta!

PBO knows how to savor the moment and to know how to appreciate life. This man came from very humble beginnings , nothing was given to him, he worked hard, and makes each moment count.

People may forget that because of the way Nebraska awards Electoral Votes, President Obama almost got one extra vote from Omaha (the reason he campaigned late there in ’08) but he was smoking Romney so bad in ’12 they didn’t make a big effort late.

I am loving this big arena moment.
Like the SOTU but without the GOP. No smirking Ryan.

PBO is relentless and repeating his anti Trump/Cruz points.
    OMG “It’s not serious its—starts with a B——baloney”

So, this tour will highlight how false and empty the GOP rhetoric is.
As I said, i am Loving this.

Loving this right along with you, Vicki! :) This is the kind of ‘campaigning’/teaching by Pres O that (I hope) will wake up the quiet, (majority) intelligent core of the USA.

        GE VC.

        The year is only beginning.

By the time the November election rolls around, we’ll all be savoring PBO on his last campaign trail, and his supporters will be out in force! The MSM won’t know what him them, they’ll still be “reporting” on GOP last gasps.

May even see some 2008-sized crowds (remember Portland OR and St Louis MO) — by deed PBO will show just how irrelevant highly-paid MSM pundits are (who basically only talk among themselves).

So sorry I missed this event, but it’s downright thrilling to catch up. Get chills when I hear “Hail to the Chief” greeting PBO’s beaming face and seeing him interact with the crowd and locals (especially the children).

There’s no substitute to seeing PBO on the road, in local neighbors, stopping at local cafes and shops.

Just the start of 2016, can’t wait for the rest of the year!

He is surrounded by people just like he’s on a campaign trail. It’s so nice that he receives this love and adoration <3

I became emotional when he took longer to leave the stage after he finished speaking. This time, he waved slower and longer from one end of the stage to the other and turning around waving and clapping. I know what he's doing - he's searing this image in his memory bank.

      GM amk.

PBO has urban areas (like Omaha) and college towns sewn up, even in the deep South — seem to recall the electoral maps from 2008 had blue dots around the major cities in just about every state, even when they were surrounded by red.

I’ve never been to Omaha, but (liberal) Warren Buffet was nurtured there, and Omaha’s electoral vote did go to PBO in 2008.

Inspired by their warm, effusive welcome for PBO.

Traditionally, Omaha strongly leans Democrat. It’s the rest of Nebraska that make the state red.

For the past ~24h I’ve been reflecting on all that we heard from President Obama yesterday during #SOTU16 and what one tweet I could composed to express my gratitude for all he and his family have done for America and the world.

  55. 122 prettyfoot58

The reason the Republicans have adopted a strategy of spreading fear, anger, cynicism and distrust is because that form of engaged democracy is the biggest threat to their interests. And so yes, as some commentators noticed last night, the President returned once again to his theme of hope and change. The reason he has been able to maintain that position after these long seven years of frustration with their tactics is that he doesn’t look to politicians as the source of that hope. His focus is elsewhere.

      GE Dudette.

Always one step ahead of everyone else, PBO set the agenda for the year with his NYTimes Op-Ed that made it clear that he will bring the excitement and commitment of Dem voters to only those candidates to stand behind him.

DWS is no longer calling the shots in 2016, so we won’t have that 2014 midterm nonsense of shying away from PBO and his accomplishments. Most Dem candidates realize that PBO is the only person with coattails to motivate the Obama coalition to re-take the Senate and Congress and maintain the Presidency.
