Cnn post debate… That channel really elevates Anderson cooper. They really like him being front and center and not Wolfe.
As it turns out, Anderson cooper could prolly buy that channel if he really wanted to. Lol

Methinks someone has had a few lovely words with Hillary recently & said, “Hil, have a seat, you comfy? Good. Now, let’s have a little chat at the bonfire w/out vanities.”

Now that’s how you throw the presidential shade. Of course PBO is the master but HRC definitely upped her game with that one with the side eye at the end. I laughed til I cried,.

Oh, Idon, I think PBO’s people had a little conversation w/ her because it seems her language towards PBO’s accomplishments and move forward has changed recently. I also remember VPJoe saying something to the effect that if anyone running tries to diminishes anything done by this admin. he’d straighten them out & they’d lose (can’t remember his exact words). I see her tweets have dramatically changed the last couple weeks or so. Not sure if she’s the one actually writing them, maybe. Not sure if she’s just plain trying to win Iowa or finally understands that she isn’t going to make it to the WH while indulging in triangulation of issues that matter to PBO coalition. She has a steep learning curve to climb (we’re long past 1990s and establishment types), and that’s why I said above comment. She’s hopefully understanding that bonfire w/out vanities.

I I definitely agree she’s receiving O training. I also agree the tone of her tweets have changed. I loved her post SOTU tweet acknowledging alll PBO has accomplished and building on that, And yes the change has been dramatic.

Is there a difference between single payer and public option?

    • 39 jackiegrumbacher
      January 15, 2025 at 8:04 am

Pf, the single payer means the federal government is the prime insurer, which is largely the case in Britain. While private insurance is available there, most people are publicly insured and it’s paid for through taxes. The public option, as I understand it, was one of the choices that would have been available under the ACA and it would, in essence, have been a nonprofit insurance system. The insurance industry fought against it because it would have been cheaper and likely the most popular choice. I’m not an expert, but I think that’s roughly the difference.

        thanks…jackieg…

this debate between Hillary and Sanders re: the best option for health insurance….irritates me a bit…because it is the left’s version of trying to re litigate Obamacare…the ACA has reduced the uninsured significantly…even if t is not your dream version of health care it is working…why not IMPROVE on it…mercy…Hilary is better than Sanders on this issue….

Morning everyone. Happy Friday! Don’t know if this was posted already….good news.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-coal-idUSKCN0US2WB

The Obama administration is due on Friday to announce an overhaul of how the United States manages coal development on federal land, and freeze new coal mining, according to government and conservationist sources, in a further move to confront climate change.

Interior Secretary Sally Jewell is expected to make the announcement at midday Friday from New Mexico, one of five western states with tens of thousands of acres under lease.

Democratic President Barack Obama in his State of the Union address on Tuesday said he would “change the way we manage our oil and coal resources, so that they better reflect the costs they impose on taxpayers and our planet.”
