29th consecutive win. 22 year old record broken. Almost 2nd title of the year in hand. And the year has just started. 8-)

Anyone who was ever asked to give a PBO SOTU rebuttal should have pleaded a prior commitment. After the first year, they should have given up trying.

But the dumb Democrats are bending over backwards to say how wonderful her comments on immigration were, how “moderate”. Democrats are phenomenally DUMB and still don’t understand the new field they are playing on?!?! All over what’s left of progressive radio. Infuriating.

    Good Thursday, Chipsticks…TOD Family!!!

Thanks, Chipsticks and Nerdy for posting the videos and pictures from PBO’s Omaha visit and event. It was really exciting seeing and hearing the crowd. The love was definitely there and the excitement of the crowd took me back to the feeling from the 2008 campaign trail.

It would be nice (but sadly not expected) if the MSM would follow PBO around and broadcast his events.

    Everyone, enjoy your day.

SW, PBO has NO expectations from the MSM, but he knows that events like yesterday bring huge local and state level coverage. You can bet he’ll get the same in Baton Rouge. Visit enough states, get enough state-wide visibility and you don’t need the corporate media lackeys.

Wow the Obama force! What he didn’t know then was the Bush Depression about to explode upon us and the world. We never guessed the entrenched opposition that was about to his obstruct absolutely his 24/7 work to recover America. PBO is an incredible man and leader. Thank goodness he is here.

True…fortunately, I know I can visit TOD to stay abreast of his schedule and to get videos from the events I might miss (happening live).

Although I’m sad that this is like a farewell tour, I’m also feeling the excitement as I did when he was campaigning. I’m hoping others remember that feeling and that it motivates us to vote as we did in 2008.

PBO is getting people to talk about this in preparation for the 2020 census. He needs to get voters riled up so they start insisting on reasonable districts. What we have now is a disgrace and people feel powerless about it. He’s reminding us that we actually do have the power if we have the sense to use it.

    http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2016/01/14/3739199/gun-maker-liability-campaigh/

In recent days, Clinton has highlighted in interviews, paid messages, and press releases that Sanders’ record is not progressive enough on guns. The topic that has won her a slew of recent endorsements from gun control advocates.

Sanders, who voted for the 2005 legislation to immunize gun manufacturers from liability, said Monday that he does not regret the vote.
“Like many pieces of legislation, like many of the 10,000 votes that I cast, bills are complicated,” the Vermont senator said at an event in Iowa on Monday, before adding later that he’s willing to “take a look at the onerous parts of that bill.”

While the presidential candidates debate the issue on the campaign trail, two Democratic congressmen in Washington have said they are ready to take up the fight. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) are circulating a bill this week, the Equal Access to Justice for Victims of Gun Violence Act, which they plan to introduce later this month. The bill would repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), a law passed by Congress in 2005 that shields gun manufacturers from liability in lawsuits over gun violence.

“There’s no reason why any one industry should have a unique immunity,” Schiff told ThinkProgress. “The makers of other products don’t enjoy that. Car makers don’t have that kind of immunity from liability, nor do those who make knives or those who make prescription drug bottles or anything else that may be safe or unsafe.”

A second aid convoy in a week is heading for the besieged rebel-held Syrian town of Madaya.

Some 40 lorries carrying flour, medical supplies and hygiene products departed Damascus on Thursday morning.

On Monday, the UN found “horrifying conditions” while delivering aid to the 40,000 people trapped in Madaya, which is surrounded by government forces.

A smaller convoy is en route to two towns under siege by rebels in the country’s north-west.

The 20,000 residents of Foah and Kefraya, where the situation is said to be extremely dire, also received aid on Monday as part of a deal between the warring parties.

There was a great actor in our state who used to play regularly villain roles both on stage and on screen. Once, in a village, where he playing the role, a viewer got so enraged that he threw his slippers at him. While the crowd got mad at the thrower, he told them to calm down and said that was the best award he had ever received in his life and kept those slippers showcased in his house. :)

The first time I saw Alan Rickman was in Sense and Sensibility. I fell in love with him in that movie. How Marianne could possibly prefer that callow conman to his character was beyond me! His voice just melted me. I saw him also play Rasputin in a TV movie. His was a totally human, believable person instead of a caricature. What a loss!

I first saw him in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and he’s the only thing I remember about the movie. He was fantastic in Sense and Sensibility, one of my favorite movies. I adore him in everything he has ever done.

My favorite Harry Potter scene with Rickman, and he doesn’t say a word: cracking the heads of Harry and Ron in the classroom.

He was an absolute genius and was widely loved in his profession for his talent and who he was as a person. He will be dearly missed.

Carolyn, how are you doing, my friend?
