DF, I just googleād great dane and dark chocolate. The majority of the comments were that at the weight size of your dog and the amount of chocolate she ingested, she should have nothing more than the runs in the morning, but to keep an eye on her and call the vet to calm your fears.
yeah, yeah, it can wait…. du has gone to duty. after she returns, taking them to a flower show that is all the rage in the city she lives in right now.
Arenāt you taking wu to her *own* celebration (if I remember correctly du had her own (and her friendās) shopping spree not too long ago. You really shouldnāt be trying to save $$ by having a combined flower show visit, no matter if wu said she doesnāt mind. [Unless of course she doesnāt want to go anywhere with *you*. :D ]
You canāt access the live stream either? Hereās the link which Iāve used when thereās no live tv coverage in my area. Just click on the video and it opens up a new window with all the games currently being played.
Geez, the east coast snow is dominating our news casts out here - what???!!!!!! I need to hear our weather so I will know what dress I should wear to Church in the morning - short sleeves or a light suit jacket
That is so amazing,99ts! Contrary to what right wingers ares saying, so many people in other parts of the world still care deeply about what happens in the United States.
Wow, you actually check the weather report *before* ironing your church outfit for the next day? Iām impressed. Never knew anyone approached that so logically. I thought people just ironed more than one outfit the night before - like I used to - then choose the most appropriate one come Sunday/work day morning.
How can you know what mood youāll be in tomorrow? I dress by mood too - thatās why I iron more than one outfit, and have even been known to change my mind and iron something different on the morning of….if none of the prepared ones fit the mood.
:D Not complicated at all.
I started my method in an effort to minimize the number of things that play around in my head when I ought to be sleeping. Honestly, a lot of my decisions are made in the middle of the night when I canāt sleep.
*chuckle-chuckle* TS, you sound just like a girlfriend I have here who doesnāt understand what there is to iron. In fact, she doesnāt even own an iron. My grandma would have had a word or two to say to her, I tell you. :D As for the weather check, I do *that* when I open the door to leave home.
I guess we all have our areas - no ironed tea towels for me, and since I havenāt used my handkerchiefs in forever they havenāt been ironed either! :D:D
:D:D Part of the reason I do my offspringās ironing (when heās home) is that he makes me feel like a failure! He actually sees nothing wrong with stepping out of the house in wrinkled jeans!!!
Dear whoever one prays to - they truly have no idea how that sounds. My mother spent a large part of her life worrying about surviving on the basic wage - and ours is somewhat ahead of most US states.
These comments of the GOP candidates…are just too much…the hate of the OTHER…so strong that the callousness of these statements do not seep in….i suppose when someone mentions Income Equality they think that it is the OTHER seeking “free stuff”…they do not see themselves in that mix…a pity….the hatred of the Other is what keeps the GOP in power…this is why they continue to stoke that fire…so that it burns hotter and hotter..
I am thrilled, thrilled, thrilled to report that the snow has finally STOPPED after what has seemed like umpteen million hours of relentless white stuff. Travel on roads will be banned through tomorrow as local governments try to clear the streets and the few plowed paths are so slick I saw one woman literally flip over on her back when she tried to step out the door. (Sheās ok.) The idea of a winter ‘wonderlandā lost itās charm about 20 hours ago and I am so ready for Spring!!
Just saw a pic on Facebook from a friend in Poolesville, MD. At 8:30 they has almost 4 feet. She wasnāt going out to measure, but knows her mailbox is at 42 inches off the ground and it was almost to that point. This is unbelievable.
Well, according to the statistics Iāve played 1076 solitaire games and only have a 38% win streak! I blame my offspring for introducing me to the game.
One of things I miss from Windows XP are the Solitaire (my fav was Free Cell) and Hearts card games.
Theyāre not available on Windows 8 (which is what I have now) — amk gave me instructions on how to download card games on Windows 10, but GGail saying it took HOURS to download Windows 10 has made me reluctant to install that OS version.
I think Iām still on Windows 7, working up some courage to download Windows 10. Iām all for - ‘if itās working, leave it aloneā! ;) However rumour has it that I should switch while W 10 is still free. Weāll see.
Have to admit that Iām loving some of the tweets from #Snowzilla from those who have the smarts and/or luxury to stay put until itās over — those trapped in their cars for hours, not so much.
Think thereās a typo in this tweet (ANC, not PANC):

I just arrived back to TOD and was going to post “Great minds think alike!” to you. Lived in NJ/PA for the first 47 years of my life, then spent 17 in FL, and have been in IL during these last 5 winters, so Iām not that much of a fan of the snow experience at this point! But it looks good on video. :)
Could have sworn that you had roots in PA (no doubt contributing to my addled state earlier today  ) — mentioned before that Iāve spent some time there (middle PA, around Williamsport and have been to State College, Pittsburgh area, toured Frank Lloyd Wrightās spectacular Falling Water, and attended a [Catholic] wedding in Philadelphia). Such a wonderful state, thoroughly enjoyed every minute there. Of course the couple of times I was there it was summer, so I got to see fireflies (my favorite — Iām like the baby panda when I see them, LOL).
Are you thinking of moving to FL, since youāve got kinfolk there? (Too flat and humid for me, and Iām terrified of all the lakes that Iām convinced are teeming with gators, LOL. Also didnāt see any fireflies, but it was probably due to where I was).
Hi, there. I do have roots in PA (both sets of parents, grandparents - the great grandparents “came across” from Ireland and Germany!), and have family members in Western PA, but I only personally lived near the NJ/PA line for a few years in my life. Love Philadelphia! Iām more a city girl, but itās a lovely state for those who like green vistas!
I do want to move back to FL (lived there from ā94 to ā10), but will remain in IL until my sonās fully back at it (and Iām hoping some day he moves back there, too, since itās our adopted state!).
Unlike GGail, I canāt get enough of the #Snowzilla tweets.
Probably because Iāve lived in SoCal all my life, can count on one hand the number of times Iāve seen snow falling, still donāt understand when people talk about snowflake shapes — are different shapes visible as they fall, or only under a microscope?
Regardless, this is a cool time lapse:

Yāall this is the most racist piece of shit Iāve seen in awhile. Itās supposed to be Bernie and his “black” crew dissing the repubs and HRC. But hereās the thing. Thanks, snobama.
You know, really, one snow report is all we need to hear about, then we can carry on :-)
Weāre the other side of the world - and itās all we hear as well ggail.
Hi 99ts, those east coast people love a lot of attention, donāt they? š
I blame Obama
That is so amazing,99ts! Contrary to what right wingers ares saying, so many people in other parts of the world still care deeply about what happens in the United States.
Our lot even treat the GOP wannabes as if they were sane.
Wow, you actually check the weather report *before* ironing your church outfit for the next day? Iām impressed. Never knew anyone approached that so logically. I thought people just ironed more than one outfit the night before - like I used to - then choose the most appropriate one come Sunday/work day morning.
Ha! no, I have to figure out what mood Iām in, whether a sunshiny dress or a more subdued outfit :-)
How can you know what mood youāll be in tomorrow? I dress by mood too - thatās why I iron more than one outfit, and have even been known to change my mind and iron something different on the morning of….if none of the prepared ones fit the mood.
I do my ironing in the morning. I mentally choose the outfits the night before based on weather forecast. Not complicated š
:D Not complicated at all.
I started my method in an effort to minimize the number of things that play around in my head when I ought to be sleeping. Honestly, a lot of my decisions are made in the middle of the night when I canāt sleep.
I donāt iron - wrinkled is fashionable - and I put the head out the window to check the weather.
I own one - I iron tea towels (else they donāt dry anything) and handkerchiefs - else they donāt sit right.
My dear mother used to iron everything - including the underwear. Took me awhile to convince her of the error of her ways.
I guess we all have our areas - no ironed tea towels for me, and since I havenāt used my handkerchiefs in forever they havenāt been ironed either! :D :D
Mr 99 is the handkerchief fanatic in my world - why do I do his ironing?? Old habits die hard
:D :D Part of the reason I do my offspringās ironing (when heās home) is that he makes me feel like a failure! He actually sees nothing wrong with stepping out of the house in wrinkled jeans!!!
Too funny!!!
GE GGail.
Did a search on weather.com for Monrovia CA and the forecast there is almost identical to the one for my zip code:
47F at 6am, up to 61F by noon, high of 64F at 3pm.
Iād opt for both (light suit jacket over short sleeves :) ).
They were probably hair-on-fire republicans :D
This is what you call hubris.
