Thanks for the interview link, LP. It has some wonderful, charming moments and some interesting reflections on what PBO could and could not do as president. Of course, we all know that for the country to be less partisan and our politics less divisive, two sides would have to have the same goal and clearly the Republican party revels in putting up barriers to cooperation. I know he says that it would be hard to undo what he’s done, but that assumes we elect someone with a brain. The thugs running on the R side only know one technique-thrash and destroy. I would not trust them to tear up anything in sight.
I think he’s right. Remember the concern the Rs in the House had when the SCOTUS was looking at the ACA subsidies. They were beside themselves when they thought the subsidies might go away and Burwell didn’t have a backup plan. Their M O is to destroy so someone else can pickup the pieces. They will rue the day if a Republican president comes in and tries to take away many of the wonderful things PBO have put in place.
it was a good interview…So PBO-like when he talks about why he does not want a 3rd term…
I like to DVR and then watch CBS Sunday Morning first thing upon awakening, to avoid all the political chatter on the other cable “news” shows (and especially when they’re interviewing President Obama!). There’s always a segment that tugs at the heart ~ for instance, this sweet one from today. Prepare to weep.

The free-spirit in me: I love it! And my 14-year-old skateboarding grandson would be the first one to volunteer! Luckily, he lives in Tampa, where there is no snow, so I can share it with him. :)

Beautiful hello to my Chips and TOD family. Thanks LP for sharing this CBS interview. I will always be so grateful to God for blessing us with this great soul, PBO. I am now reading again David Axelrod’s book, ‘Believe’ and I know that we made a great choice when we all worked so hard to believe in this great man and to make sure that he did make it to the Oval Office. I have not regretted one moment of that decision.
Chips, you have given all of us, all over the world a time to continue to reflect, refresh, and return to so many of these beautiful moments of PBO’s presidency. This haven of sweetness has brought many tears of joy into my life, personally, and I want to thank you, Chips. (((((((Love you))))))HZ

I am no fan of Tom Brady, he refuse to show up at the WH when POTUS was honoring the Pats for winning last year. And he endorse Trump. Plus I’m tired of him winning all the time.

VC thank you so much for posting these clips of PBO. My gawd, he has not changed his stance at all. What the people were hearing when he was campaigning in beyond my comprehension. He has a moral compass that has not shifted. What a great man we have in the White House.

That is so true. I’ve been avoiding cable news for the last few weekends, just for a break, and - even though the blizzard is awful - I’ve actually been able to peek in at CNN and MSNBC yesterday and today without fear of seeing the loathsome Trump and others like him. Good weekend!
