    Good Friday, Chipsticks…TOD Family!!!

Everyone, be happy and enjoy your day.

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton is cutting further into primary rival Bernie Sanders’s New Hampshire lead, picking up 7 net points overnight, according to a UMass Lowell/7 News tracking poll released Friday.

The former secretary of State now trails Sanders by only 15 points before the Tuesday primary. She trailed by 31 points at the beginning of the week.

Great news, SW. Bernie needs a blowout win in NH to give him momentum because his prospects after that look grim. If Hilz can cut his momentum in his neighboring, lily white state, she’ll be on a steady course to the nomination.

The media has been playing up his 30 pt lead…even this morning I’ve heard that even though the lead has diminished some.

It seems to me, he would need a double digit win in NH to be considered a success given the expectations that have been raised.

I need to never listen to Bill Press again. I guess Quinnipiac had a poll today with Bernie and Hillary even nationwide. They make random calls, there is no screening for actual voters. But Press’ fawning over Bernie made me insane this morning.

I stopped the day he came out with this new book. I didn’t listen often and when I did it was for only part of the show, so I’m certainly not missing much-or anything!!!!! ENOUGH! Stephanie Miller is quite upset with him. Couple times when talking about him she
goes through a list of the things PO has accomplished.

I stopped, too, but wanted “progressive” news on last night’s debate. Big mistake. He had Debbie Dingell on from Michigan. I have so had it with Dems: “I don’t want to pile on, failures of ALL levels of government……” How dare she. How dare Dems remains so entrenched and stupid. You take an issue like this and you lay the blame passionately on the GOP, where it belongs. She even said, if it had been her district, she would have gone to the governor’s office and demanded he come to the city, and she’s sure he would have.

Democrats suck. That is my take this morning.

PPP released a national poll yesterday with Hillary maintaining a strong lead at 21 pts.

Gee, Bill Press didn’t mention that poll, quelle surprise. He kept saying his 46/42 poll amongst Dems was a CNN poll but had to correct himself.

What struck me about the debate last night was how much Bernie Sanders sounded like a one note pony, wall street wall street wall street. I really don’t think he has a plan at all about how to get legislation passed. His answers on foreign policy were a muddled mess; he even looked confused talking about foreign policy.

Hubby and I were saying the same thing. He has one focus and even with that, it doesn’t seem that he has given much more than a surface thought as to the *hows* of his proposals. But then again, he would have to compromise/re-evaluate his ideas and that doesn’t seem to be something he’s willing to do [or maybe he is unable to do].

Even if we wanted to change course for tactical reasons, he can’t, he has married himself to the “revolution.” Speaking of revolution, did he even say the word revolution last night?

Too many GOPers want to get elected to tear down government. As someone said before, why would someone want to get elected to a job that they want to eliminate…and why would voters vote for them knowing this?

The extremists that have most recently been elected into office have worked overtime to make the government seem inefficient and ineffective. Then they point to their handiwork as proof that government should be reduced or eliminated.

GM TOD - There has to be a major positive about being a democrat. Mostly democrat candidates smile. They give out positive vibes and want to do positive things. Bernie might like to yell, but he also wants to “do stuff”. Hillary releases how much better she looks and sounds when she is smiling. The President never allows the weight of the world to bring him down. He never stops moving forward - small steps. His joy of life shows up - in his interaction with children. That photo is positively gorgeous.

GOPers are eternally miserable. They moan, groan, whinge and whine. They want to remove anything that adds a smile to those they are paid to serve. They want to repeal everything. They have seriously miserable lives - and it shows up - most obviously - in their interactions with children (or lack thereof).

Republican lawmakers who are unhappy with the perceived “executive overreach” of the Obama administration are forming a new task force to find “legislative solutions” to challenge the president’s power — and they picked a telling lawmaker to lead the effort. Rep. Steve King (R-IA), a passionate anti-immigrant hardliner, will serve as chairman.

Here are just six examples that show King may not by suitable as the chairman.

    1. That time King said to treat people that cross the border like “livestock.”
    2. That time King defended racial profiling as “common sense.”
    3. That time King compared immigrants to dogs.
    4. That time King said that undocumented immigrants coming across the border have “cantaloupe calves” because they are “drug mules.”
    5. That time King said Latinos come from a “violent civilization.”
    6. That time King said that he was just “as Hispanic and Latino” as a Latino congressman.

He’s a shirker. I guess he had to work too hard to be the Tea Party darling. The GOP “establishment” is making him their darling with little to no effort on his part.

Imagine someone who shirks their job as a Senator (at one point there was concern that he was shirking his responsibilities as a candidate), being elected as POTUS/CIC. How soon would he start shirking those duties?

I think PBO has made a huge impact on minority young men and this time there is a good chance to see more and more of these men finish high school, go to and graduate from college. I hope many create their own careers because this is the next step. Don’t look for someone to hire you make your own way in life. The Cornies, and Jealouses have not lifted anyone up like PBO can yet they want to point fingers and expect THIS president to solve 150yr old problems in less than 8yrs.

Its the respect, empower, include way of life. It motivates us all, competence, autonomy and relatedness. Feeling competent, learning interesting things, mastering our trades and professions, feeling autonomous, having choices, making our own decisions, engaging and seeing our efforts effect change, feeling related, collaborating, organizing, belonging, connecting. Our President understands what makes the human world go around and he lovingly, unflinchingly shows us the way.

January was the 64th consecutive month of positive job growth – the best stretch since 1939 – and the 71st consecutive month in which we’ve seen private-sector job growth, which is the longest on record.
