hope you have had a great week and that a less adventurous weekend awaits you …. but with your “construction projects” and pet rescues, one never knows
 I’m definitely taking a break from my construction projects, Linda, and prayin’ no more bundles of fluffiness come in to my life - for a while at least. Have a great weekend!
I know I should never admit to my truth - my best effort in construction projects is finding a container to hold the screws and nails that fall out of the little plastic bags. Mr 99 not only reads the instructions - he understands them. I count the screws as I add them to the container.
I’m really reluctant to confess this ….. you know that toilet seat I, um, installed? Well, it’s rockin’ more than Mick Jagger ever did, using it is quite an experience. I think my work may need refining. :???:
Bless you - at least you tried. I once built a small ikea bookcase. It never was straight, there was a gap between the back and one side & books would fall off randomly - usually during the night.
I think it is similar to my sense of direction. When I say turn left, the driver knows instinctively to go right.
Not sure you would want to claim my weird lot - sometimes I would like to think a mistake was made. My favorite was the man who headed into town to register the birth of his first two children (both daughters). He discovered on arrival in town that part of the registration was a request for the date of marriage of the parents - which was well after the birth of daughter 1, but before the birth of daughter 2. So he gave the name of daughter 1 to the birth date of daughter 2 & thus combined them into a single person.
In today’s world of voter id - neither would have been able to register to vote.

The White House delivered a low blow on Friday, accusing congressional Republicans who are denying the president a chance to pitch his budget of pulling a “Donald Trump.”
Why on earth would this be called a “low blow”. The White house tells the truth. The GOP members of the house are worse than evil. They are evil & racist to the core - care not about the constitution and just want to attack the black guy every chance they get.
Some progressives, like Bill Press, have expressed disappointment with Obama’s failure to further their agenda; to one who has watched the lawmaking process up close and personal for more than four decades, his ability to move the ball in the face of challenges from his own party and Republicans, and in the face of huge headwinds from the conservative wind machine, has been extraordinarily impressive.
Hellooooooo Edwina! All you have to do to make the tweet show up is: click on the tweet you want, then copy its url (red arrow) and then paste it in your comment here. De na!
Oh Woodward….that’s just the favorite male criticism of women, and they think that is deep and relegates us to the basement. Good for Hillary standing up to him. He is awful, and those men just like to show off by shouting…….then, psychological projection, blame the woman. I guess we can see what she will be up against the next ten months. Someone up above was correct. They won’t feel the world is set right until a white male is back in the White House. That’s why Bernie is getting the more positive press. The idea of a woman in the Oval Office is more than they can stand.
Just got done watching all three nightly newscasts……not a single mention of the jobs report NBC (stories on Olympics & Weed profits in CO more important) ABC (no mention, apparently a liquor store attempted robbery and Johnny Manziel threatening his ex took precedent) CBS was the only newscast to mention the report (15 minutes in a 30 second spot) freaking pathetic.

As they slice through the air, fastening and threading the rope, no human interferes with their work once. Statement by the President on the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting
Thirteen years ago tomorrow, four first ladies in Africa came together and declared an International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C). They knew that by targeting and holding back girls, this practice harms and holds back entire communities. Since then, countless others-from the Middle East to South Asia to here in the United States-have joined these women to say that FGM/C has no place in any community and undermines our efforts to celebrate and empower women and girls.
Some people say that FGM/C is a rite of passage-something families do to help prepare girls for adulthood or marriage. In my travels last year, I made clear my view that “there’s no reason that young girls should suffer genital mutilation.” Just because this is a tradition in some places does not make it right. This practice is harmful, and therefore wrong wherever it occurs. That is why we have funded programming to combat FGM/C in places like Guinea, just as we have launched a range of actions here at home to stop the practice. In the United States, we have criminalized the transport of girls to undergo FGM/C, worked with religious leaders and community-based organizations to raise awareness-especially in some immigrant communities, where the pressures to engage in this practice remain-and provided grant opportunities for domestic NGOs implementing innovative prevention strategies.
Today, we stand with communities here and around the globe working to prevent FGM/C. We call on girls and their families, teachers, health workers, community and religious leaders, and government officials to act together to make a difference. It’s time to put an end to this harmful practice, and to allow communities everywhere to meet their full potential by enabling women and girls to meet theirs.
Recent court case in Australia on this one
Women convicted over ‘repugnant’ genital mutilation of two girls ‘showed no remorse’
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-02-05/women-convicted-over-genital-mutlation-showed-no-remorse/7145556
One of the convicted was the mother of the girls - just too sad that they continue this.
So I’m a couple of threads behind & still in shock that after years of economic growth & so many positives for the US - congress now refuses to see PBO’s budget.
Every last thing they have tried has failed. The media never reports on their non stop evil actions - but the President carries on regardless - and there is nothing they can do that will make him implode. How truly sad.
And it seems Bernie chose the wrong party - the GOP would have welcomed him with open arms.
Yes, Andy Borowitz, (yuck, Katie Couric): anyone in the Big Apple for this might want to get tickets today!! http://www.92y.org/tickets/production.aspx?ba=1&performanceNumber=122461
Great tweet, Chips! If Sanders was such a progressive savior, why didn’t he run for President in 2008 when the economy was on the brink of total collapse? Or, for that matter why didn’t he run in 1984, 1988, 1992,1996, 2000, 0r 2004? The drastic income gap between the 1% and the 99% didn’t start from Nov. 4th, 2008; It’s been growing since the 1980s! But now that the economy is doing quite well, as result of the hard work by President Obama and his administration, Bernie Sanders is ready to ride a Whitehorse to save it. Now that millions of Americans, who formerly had no Health Insurance, are now insured under Obama Care, Bernie Sanders is coming to the rescue with his single payer? Bernie Sanders is 74 years-old. Why did he wait to launch his socialist Revolution after a black guy, who has been an exptional president, was elected Prrsident? If Bernie was a younger man who has not been around since the 1980s, I could understand his passion and his nievity about leading a Revolution as President.
media can really manipulate the masses => all of a sudden, beltway punditry is working over time to convince the world that a empty-suit hate-filled punk, who plagiarizes PBO’s speeches, has the electoral momentum as election heads to NH

My twitter timeline is dominated now with complaints about next week’s new Twitter (see NerdyW’s post upthread).
One final thought:
Amen, Chips! I posted it @ http://hillaryclintonsupporters.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5325
I love it! Mahalo~
media can really manipulate the masses => all of a sudden, beltway punditry is working over time to convince the world that a empty-suit hate-filled punk, who plagiarizes PBO’s speeches, has the electoral momentum as election heads to NH
So I lol AND snorted:)

“Now, go back and look at the expression on Ted’s face. Looks like he was smart enough to have the procedure done while he posed for the picture.”
Thanks! OMG. Teh stupid hurts:)
Thank you so much! This was so funny. I had to share it on Facebook.
Thank you Mr. President! Was just speaking to a client last week about how much this practice bugs me.
So many reasons why the congressional GOP don’t want anyone to see the President’s budget.
Thank you, Alycee, for sharing this.
This is great news. I have been putting this out there in my goodness space that our POTUS and his team would reach this goal and even lower before he leaves office. We will continue to keep his back. Thank you, Mr. President.HZ
