The GOP seems to believe that once they are elected, the will of the people is whatever *they* decide it is. We especially see this when it comes to gun control legislation. They pretty much said the same thing about 90+ percent wanting gun control legislation.
Good point, SW. It’s all about power for them. They’ll do anything to get it, including vote rigging. Then they ignore the electorate and do whatever suits their corporate sponsors. Elections are just a nuisance to them.
And Mitt’s son’s own a lot of the voting machines that will be used in these elections. So turn out has to be enormous to make sure what ever they do to the machines the people will win out. Just like in 2012. You know, Rove tried to rig the election in Ohio just like he did in 2004. But got caught.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has backed trials of genetically modified (GM) mosquitoes that could be used in the fight against the Zika virus.
The WHO also said sterile irradiated male mosquitoes could also be released to mate with wild females.
However, environmentalists have warned over the possible consequences of wiping out an entire species.
Zika has been linked to microcephaly in babies, who are born with damaged brains and abnormally small heads.
In a statement, the WHO said it was encouraging affected countries “to boost the use of both old and new approaches to mosquito control as the most immediate line of defence”.

Four oil producing nations agree to freeze output.
Oil ministers from three Opec countries, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Venezuela, as well as Russia, have agreed to freeze oil output at January levels, as long as others follow suit.
The announcement came after the four ministers met in Doha on Tuesday.
The move is designed to support the oil price, which has dropped sharply in recent months.
Oil prices have fallen about 70% from their recent peak of around $116 a barrel in June 2014.
The steep decline is due to oversupply, sluggish demand and worries about the global economic outlook.

funny how that works, isn’t it? slightest increases to gas prices, and prices of everything else go up immediately, but as oil prices have plummeted for a while now, and yet prices of everything still keep going up. go figure!
my local grocery store just raised prices on tons of products last week as gas went down to the $1.45 range here. been waiting to get an airline ticket assuming they’d go down with the gas prices going down, and the same ticket is going up! gotta love the free market magic, and all the various excuses they come up (i.e. gas prices going up) to screw over the working classes.

I live with it all the time: Nickelby will wake me up to take him out, then decide he doesn’t want to go. Pearl is forever, getting off the sofa, asking to be picked up again. “Door open or closed?” seems to be a challenge they set for me, not a question they should definitively answer.
