Saw something where Michelle Bachmann and other Republicans of her ilk were saying to just wait till Obama gets out of office. Something about proving he is the AntiChrist by getting involved with the UN. That got me thinking since many of us have guessed different jobs PBO might be able to hold like Supreme Court Justice and so on. I got to thinking how much the world appreciates PBO and how he actually might make a good UN leader. But I wondered if there is some rule that no US person or major Country representative could be the head of the UN?
None of the permanent members can head UN. Of course, he can always move to India and then head UN. :)
Permanent members of the Security Council cannot be Sec General - 5 countries including US.
I’m thinking he might work closer to home - he has seen so much he wants to do that the GOP has obstructed.
If I was PBO, I’d have a 5 year vacation :)

Sitting in ER waiting room with hubby. BP has been high (145-150/90-100) range since last Friday. Headaches off and on and woke at 11:30 with very bad headache and then nauseous. We decided better to be seen tonight.m,

Just came back from CT scan. We’re going to have to be more assertive with dr.about the high BP. It’s been going up steadily since Friday and for him, it is high! Will report later.
In some people 150 not so high - although the bottom one seems high. My MIL was often 180/90 & despite all attempts could not get it down - so you probably do need to keep stressing that it is high for your husband. I’m around for the next few hours - only 6pm in my world :)
Sorry it took so long to get back. Do be assertive! Now days, in order to receive proper treatment, one almost needs to go to medical school to be ill…

4:52—-CT scan was good and all blood work good. They gave him something for headache right after scan. It helped a lot. BP is staying around 140-143/92ish. Still high for him. Doc is writing script for low dosage of BP med. He has appt. next week with PCP for yearly physical. Hopefully, we get sprung within next 30 minutes or so.
So appreciate your thoughts and support.

I HAVE SUCH LOUSY DOCTORS..I’M NOT FIT TO COMMENT…HOWEVER 140-143 IS MY NORM…THEY TRIED BP PILLS BEFORE…VERY LOW..5MG. AND I COULD NOT GET OFF THE COUCH. SO I AM NO HELP HERE. MY STRESS IS HIGH WHEN MY HUSBAND IS AROUND..SO I’M NO HELP THERE EITHER.

Bob, I appreciate your comments on Hillary because that is exactly how I feel at this point. I’ve come to appreciate her in recent weeks and will do everything in my small power to help her become the nominee and then the President. At this point, I feel that Bernie is a trial that we are having to endure until he washes out, at which point, I hope never to hear his name again.
The updates on Ukraine are invaluable. It’s difficult to follow the convoluted machinations that are going on there and this brief summary was very helpful.
