Ever notice how people who are drawn to the Sanders campaign tend to have an over-inflated view of themselves and their influence?

Good, just waiting for her to switch parties after Sander’s failed presidential bid after super-Tuesday.

My first reaction on seeing this was anger- and embarrassment. I had high hopes for her, but distancing herself from the president, and now this tom-foolery, it’s demoralizing. Just envisioning the ugly process of getting rid of her. Then, my brain woke up a bit and it occurred to me that she’s just written her own political obituary. Gauvin has it exactly right- she gains nothing from this with the HRC admin-to-come, and by siding with the Socialist, makes it difficult to switch to the Repubs party (which it’s seemed she was positioning to do). Afraid we won’t be rid of her here in Hawaii, but she’s definitely soured her career.

Tuesday’s meeting with bipartisan Senate leaders should be ‘interesting.’ Trust President Obama to go right into the lion’s den to sit down with the beasts and I don’t mean Reid and Leahy.
Notice that PBO is not ‘endorsing’ a presidential candidate, but he sure is planting positive seeds as he visits critical states to talk up his signature achievements. You cannot buy this kind of positive local coverage.

I would love to be able to walk into that meeting, introduce myself, and tell ’em I was there to “take notes” for The Obama Diary.

Well, actually, I wouldn’t want to be that close to McConnell or Grassley, but maybe I could sit on the other side of the office, facing the President.

If anybody is a gifting mood I desperately need one of these  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/961424878/ruggietm-the-worlds-best-alarm-clock

“Are you tired of sleeping through your alarm? A team of entrepreneurs based in Vancouver and Hong Kong have created the Ruggie, a small rug that doubles as an alarm clock that forces you to get out of bed to turn it off. Simply set the alarm at your desired wake up time and when the Ruggie sounds your alarm, you need to stand on it for at least three seconds before it shuts off. Doing so will get you out of bed and on your feet, making it more likely for you to get on with your day than hitting snooze and going back to sleep.”

Hi, LP! Let’s just say when I was in my 20s and had to be at work sitting upright in a chair every weekday at 0745, I had a little trouble hearing the alarm and always was one or two minutes late for work. In an attempt to “be an adult” about it and not be late (Ha!), I had my friend call me on the phone every morning - oh, and, had my Mother do the same thing, five minutes later, like a human snooze button. Also set an alarm and my old-timey clock radio to a musical wake-up, at full volume. (A neighbor in the apartment complex once told me they could hear my loud musical alarm every morning and would say to each other, “Wake up, Jackie.” But I digress.) One morning, after I forgot to set my alarm(s) because I accidentally fell asleep on the sofa, and (can’t remember why) but didn’t hear the two wake-up phone callers … all of a sudden, another friend was banging on my front door like firemen would. Scared the heck outta me. She yelled through the door that my Mother was thinking I was dead; she’d tried to call but got no answer. Now, my other friend who called me every work day did not know my Mother was also calling me (oops, that’s what we used to call “taking full advantage”), and while she just thought my son and I had stayed overnight at my Mother’s house, my Mother obviously knew better and called her to see if I’d answered her phone call. Thus, the first friend’s sending the second friend over to check on me, and yada yada yada. By the time I got to work, neither friend wanted to speak to me ever again, so I took them out for lunch the next day, and gave them each a small gift, while begging forgiveness.

      The end.

The moral of this story? Well, none, but I coulda used that Ruggie back in the day.

Clearly your bed is not as enchanting as mine. 3 seconds to turn off the alarm, then hop back between the warm, cushy covers would be no prob whatsoever. 😆

The transmitter signal during Trump’s hate-a-thon in AL keeps fading in and out. The telecommunications gods are on our side. He claims to have 30K+ in attendance. The cream of the crop of the children of the corn, I guess. Soon, they’ll be giving him the old Nazi salute. There are a few protesters who’ve arisen during his “hate speech” (about three times now) and the followers aren’t happy. Plus, Trump just said in response to the protesters, “All Lives Matter, remember that.” Hate all the way.

Also loved how one of his older sons had to call in to MSNBC earlier to disavow David Duke’s KKK endorsement for dear old dad, who froze up when asked by Jake Tapper if he disavowed it. This is how the presidency would be, were this crime family leader to ever set foot in the White House … one of his older sons would go around and tell everyone “Daddy was just kidding” and the other older son would go out and break some kneecaps. To make America great again.

Can’t deal with much more of this!

Hey all you SoCal TOD peeps. And all other TOD peeps, too.

I love Sec of Interior Sally Jewell and our dear PBO, but it doesn’t seem fair to me that 3 weeks after settling a lawsuit filed against the Dept. of the Interior, a settlement that resulted in an agreement by the Dept. to take a hard look at the effects of offshore fracking along Calif’s coast, that the Dept. of Interior has filed a draft environmental assessment that will allow oil companies to resume fracking in the Pacific Ocean from Long Beach to the Santa Barbara channel, thus continuing to dump huge amounts of toxic chemicals into the Pacific Ocean, and more. Read more at http://www.biologicaldiversity.org/news/press_releases/2016/fracking-02-22-2016.html

And please submit a public comment now (deadline is March 23): http://pocswellstim.evs.anl.gov/comments/index.cfm

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

    Maid - Megyn Kelly
Coffee Shop Managers - Joe and Mika

If the report is good it will probably be reported negatively anyhow cuz the so called experts would have over estimated what the numbers should be. Then the media will say what a disappointment it is that the economy did not grow enough.
