First six or so questions in this morning’s WHPB was about Israel dissing US (basically celebrating a foreign leader putting the Obama Adm in an awkward position — aka “uppity” administration).
How I loathe the MSM — despite one questioner being Black (@RonAllenNBC), they all ascribe to the WSSQ (my term — white supremacy status quo, presenting “news” with assumption that white is the default, any other POV must be prefaced with a disclaimer).
Just catching up on the PressSec briefing, Arapaho. I knew this was coming yesterday afternoon, hence the tweets I posted on the subject & the subsequent walk back on the Israeli side….but I knew the WSSQ (I like this acronym :) ) wouldn’t be objective. Quite frankly, I can’t wait for Thursday’s Canadian State Dinner & two leaders that I admire. (I’m in gossip mode thinking of what Canadian actors/athletes will be invited) I would have bet on Buchard/Raonic, but I think the Indian Well Tennis event will prevent that….there are several incredible actors I expect….I just want PBO to break the internet and have Justin Bieber & Drake on the list for shits & giggles :D:D:D

This is especially important because although OFA was the first to hold demonstrations, the opposition is organizers and we need to counter them.
4. March 21st - end of March Senators will be home - OFA will schedule Senate office visits and attend all public meetings held by the Senators.

“We want to build on what President Obama has achieved. We are not ready to throw it all away and start over. We want to know how to improve the existing system to give a hand up to those who need it, not why everything sucks. BTW, Meta….have you got a chance to see the new season of ‘House of Cards’ yet? I didn’t realize until the 11th episode that the main foe/new character this is season is Joel Kinnaman, from the ‘The Killing’ The season turned out to be prescient in context to this year’s Presidential campaign…and overall was much better than I was expecting!
I felt so dumb no realizing it until the end of the season (I just picture him as ‘no f**ks to give’ character from ‘The Killing’ :D )….The only other time I had seen him recently was in the movie “Run all night” he plays the same kind of character. Mireille Enos is about to star in the new Shonda Rhimes series set to premiere:
I just noticed the new Mireille Enos show. CANNOT WAIT. Loved her in The Killing - so low key and understated yet super strong and super smart - and the fact that she’s in a Shonda Rhimes show is stellar. And Peter Krause, too?? WOOT!
There are so many more platforms and with the creative license that FX, AMC, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. allows the writers/producers they are pushing network TV to step their game up.
A show you may be interested in that premiered last week on Sundance channel:
'Hap and Leonard' is an entrancing, unusual show: https://t.co/gUUVx1evan pic.twitter.com/kdygDNmctb
— New York Magazine (@NYMag) March 6, 2025
Also I’ve been watching a new series on WGN called the ‘Outsiders’ and to your point on diverse writers/producers John Legend’s show ‘Underground’ premieres on WGN next week:
I saw ‘the missing’ when it aired on Starz a year or two ago…was good too. I’ll tell you two awesome series to put in you queue in Netflix (Australian Broadcasting Company’s ‘The Code’ 6-episodes & really witty show show 4 seasons ‘Rake’) Fox tried to spin it off in the U.S. w/ Greg Kinnear, but it didn’t work….oh, and one more (especially if you don’t mind subtitles) ‘Witnesses’ ….it is more in the genre of ‘True Detective’ that may the best of the 3!
Pf, the Pennsylvania House and Senate will do nothing to help Wolf or Pennsylvanians because they’ve fully embraced the obstructionist tactics of the US House and Senate. Voters continue to elect good leaders and then hobble them with legislators who undermine them. Gerrymandered districts are killing us.
yes they are…i watched over the weekend …the State Dem Meeting on a local channel.it was interesting…i thought about how what you and your husband are involved with… it should be reported at such meetings,,,have you ever attended
PUKETIN ventured to say that women “juggle a myriad of tasks, and yet remain tender”.
He forgot to add what seasoning and who was the MC for that show.
57, I heard via ‘The People’s View’ that Hillary did very well. They tried to nail her on her e-mails and on abortion. She did well and got applause on the abortion issue. So, all told, it was a positive for her.

Hi All
OFA held a call for volunteers last night and the main subject was the SCOTUS Strategy.
Here are the key points
EACH OF YOU CAN HELP WITH THESE ACTIONS
1. Very successful March 3rd Day of Action (DOA) over 40 events, lots of press coverage, great turnout.
2. The President is expected to announces his nominee this week or next, once that happens there will be a Rapid Response call from OFA to discuss the nominee and discuss our plan going forward.
IF YOU DO ARE NOT PART OF AN OFA CHAPTER & WANT TO BE ON THAT CALL - send an email to [email protected]
3. We need to continue to call into the 15 Senators who have been identified as obstructionist but who are vulnerable to public pressure and may change their mind. This is especially important because although OFA was the first to hold demonstrations, the opposition is organizers and we need to counter them.

6. There will be a webinar training March 16th which will provide training on how to have an effective office visit with an obstructionist Senator and how to talk to “an average Joe” about this issue.
7. Talking points we use with the general public-
*Senators need to do their job - we are expected to do our job. The constitution spells out that the Senators need to hold hearing and hold an up ro down vote
*It seems UNFAIR that a GOP Senators refused to hold hearing or support the President’s nominee before knowing who the nominee. This seems like politics at its worst.
8. Week of March 21st - March 31st attend Senate office visits and public events in states with obstructionist Senators who are more likely to change their mind.
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP OR THINK IT IS HOPELESS. WE MUST CONTINUE TO TRY.
Great road map for addressing the Republican obstructionism we are facing.

Just called my two TN senators. Appreciate all you are doing, WiW.
Right back at you - {{ }}
Not soon enough.
“We want to build on what President Obama has achieved. We are not ready to throw it all away and start over. We want to know how to improve the existing system to give a hand up to those who need it, not why everything sucks. We want our candidates for president to devise practical, achievable plans for progress, not delve into politically unfeasible, mathematically challenged promises of utopia”
This is so rich in irony :D :D :D
I would add more than just Trump, including Dems, who have no clue what they are talking about when it comes to TPP
Looks like the WP SPAM filter is reared its ugly head again….It was only time :(
Some more background…and a good profile of another problem for Grassley if nominated for SCOTUS
I just started watching it! I’m on E3. But I’d heard that Joel Kinnaman had joined the cast. LOVED him in The Killing.
Thanks for the SCOTUS info.
WOOT!
BTW, amazing how interesting TV has become. I think mostly due to very innovative and diverse writers and producers.
There are so many more platforms and with the creative license that FX, AMC, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc. allows the writers/producers they are pushing network TV to step their game up.
A show you may be interested in that premiered last week on Sundance channel:
Also I’ve been watching a new series on WGN called the ‘Outsiders’ and to your point on diverse writers/producers John Legend’s show ‘Underground’ premieres on WGN next week:
Wow, I’m intrigued, especially if it includes a role for Omar! Thanks, I’ll look out for those others, too.
Just finished The Missing on DVD. Really good in the same genre as Broadchurch.
Awesome! I will def check them out. Appreciate the recs!
This is mildly hilarious:
What could possibly go wrong?
No words
Unfuckingbelievable….from official GOP Senate campaign account
Disgusting, just when you thought they couldn’t find a lower gutter to crawl thru…
PUKETIN ventured to say that women “juggle a myriad of tasks, and yet remain tender”.
He forgot to add what seasoning and who was the MC for that show.
It’s been inevitable since the putrid rise of Richard Milhous Nixon to GOP prominence ….
… and, Lindsay has only been a lame enabler his entire career …..
back to work ….
Yebbut as mentioned what ’cause’ was that (as regards growing it)?
I have heard absolutely nothing about the Fox News Democratic town hall last night. Does anyone know anything?
(I wasn’t feeling well and went straight to bed when I got home last night).
57, I heard via ‘The People’s View’ that Hillary did very well. They tried to nail her on her e-mails and on abortion. She did well and got applause on the abortion issue. So, all told, it was a positive for her.
That’s great. Not a word on Bernie? Nothing from his supporters on my TL. Nothing.
Sharing ‘International Women’s Day’ greetings - I’m the one with the moves! :)
Perfectly luffly!! And go wimminz go!!

Go Girl! :-D
Cholesterol 188 after all those burgers!!
meta that cholesterol number is good isn’t it.
It’s very good!
:)
Well that is good news to hear about POTUS health. The Obamas are a healthy family.
Do we know whether he has small or large hands? I am just asking.
LULWOT??!!
No Child, we are not going there. We will continue to show class and not sink to the level of that disgusting KKK Trump.
That bp is only in my dreams
Temperature of 97.8 degrees! My President is HHH-HOT! :-D :-D :-D
Daily Mail: President Obama SNUBS Nancy Reagen’s funeral. I guess they weren’t satisfied that the First Lady Michelle Obama is attending, Hillary Clinton is attending too.
And following precedent.
