Morning all. Did not watch the Dem debate last night, but the reports of a the video showing Bernie praising Castro is a stunner. This will not go down well for Latinos, nor will his support of Minutemen along the border. It’s no wonder Republicans have been pushing Bernie.

And it’s amazing that Sanders supporters do not see this as an impediment. They think the American public will totally understand that that was then and this is now But Clinton was a Goldwater Girl when she was seventeen.

Exactly, Mary. Clinton could use a ‘but,’ instead of an ‘and,’ and be widely criticized, but Sanders can say and do anything and all is forgiven by the media and his followers. The double standard is sickening. We are watching sexism on a national scale right before our eyes and, in my opinion, Hillary is rising to the occasion and confronting it brilliantly.

Just as candidate Obama faced every negative vilifying strategy these last eight years (if you count the campaign in 2008), Hillary Clinton has been doing the same. Some day I would like to see her brush off her shoulder the way Obama did to symbolize that concept. Brush it off and keep on going. When the general election campaign starts we can have her back and work to turn out the vote. That’s exactly what the President will be doing.

Ruling everything by polls is ridiculous. Either we follow our Constitution or we start over. The President SHALL name a Supreme Court Justice with the advice and consent of the Senate. Nothing is there about the President having no power his last year in office or whether the other party wants to wait till they have the power to get their own choice through.

Migrant crisis: Merkel condemns closure of Balkan route.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has blamed European nations for “unilaterally” shutting the Balkan route for migrants.

She said this had put Greece in a “very difficult situation” and such decisions should be taken by the whole of the EU.

Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, and non-EU members Serbia and Macedonia have all acted to stem the migrant flow.

The EU and Turkey, from where migrants reach Greece, have set out a plan to ease the crisis.

Try to act surprised. This would be Trump World everyday…

Breitbart Rolls Over After Reporter ‘Grabbed’ by Trump Aide
A day after its political reporter was manhandled by the candidate’s campaign manager in front of witnesses, the Trump-friendly news outlet has offered only the mildest of rebukes.
Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump and his outsider juggernaut seem to be doing much more than reinventing the rules of politics and terrifying the Washington establishment.
The reality television billionaire might also be laying the groundwork for a not-so-brave new world in which a campaign manager can assault a female journalist, while her news organization—in this case the famously Trump-friendly Breitbart News—responds with a mild rebuke in a vague statement perceived by some to be designed to protect the perpetrator.

In the year we are going to have our first female president, you have to wonder at the phallic direction the GOP candidates are taking. Are they really that insecure? Absolutely. That’s another plus for being a Democrat. You don’t have to participate in this freak out.

The European Central Bank has cut its benchmark interest rate to 0% from 0.05% as part of a package of measures intended to boost the flagging eurozone economy.

The ECB will also expand its quantitative easing programme from €60bn to €80bn a month.

The scheme will now include the purchase of corporate bonds as well as government debt.

The bank has also decided to further cut the bank deposit rate.

It now stands at minus 0.4%, down from minus 0.3%, meaning that banks must pay more to deposit funds with the ECB.

So eventually money will be stored under the bed - I will never understand the 0% interest brigade. Failed economics. Too many countries stuck in stagnation for years & years - Japan is the best example.

His candid outburst was a public display of embarrassment many on the right feel but won’t say openly. I enjoyed every moment of it.

MJ is never candid - his outbursts are well planned. As for embarrassment - having supported the rise of Trump - I doubt they have any idea of such.

All is which is no reason why you shouldn’t enjoy that they are facing the reality of nominating a disgusting person as their candidate & they cannot stop it happening.

Shouldn’t the police have gotten the man who threw the punch. I mean it was not necessary for him to throw that punch, the police were handling things. But that supporter got off free and that isn’t right.
