Look at the Jewish control of this country. You already have three open Jewish members of the Supreme Court. Thirty-three percent. They’re only two percent of the population. You can count on those Jews to do whatever the Jewish agenda is, whatever the Jewish establishment wants. In fact, they probably already have at least three-and-a-half members because Sotomayor apparently, according to a lot of sources, has a lot of what they call Sephardic Jewish ancestry, Spanish Jewish ancestry. That’s a big problem among some Latino groups. And so that’s maybe three-and-a-half Jews.
And now Obama, who is totally under the power of the Jewish control, he’s been, in fact there’s a reason why the Chicago Tribune calls him the first Jewish president. And why the New Yorker magazine had him as the first Jewish president, alright? He’s appointed a Jewish supremacist to be the guy on the Supreme Court, which basically gives Jews total veto over the Supreme Court. As I’ve said before, there was no more powerful part of the federal government in this country than the Supreme Court.
[…]
So the Supreme Court, which is unelected, which is basically elected by political cronies, which is a Jewish-controlled establishment today, and money, and media, whoever gets the praise of the media, whoever gets the money, the media, is basically something that’s really in the power — and you don’t have to have an absolute majority as we can see in elections. You can have a plurality. They’ve got a plurality in the United States Supreme Court.
I thought when the Pope came out for the value of immigrants, the care of the poor and social justice it would put the GOP in an awkward position with Catholics. Boehner quit right after his visit and I personnally think that is why. He was ashamed. Now with the anti semitic Birchers coming out against Merrick Garland we have another dilemna for the Jewish hardliners. I am surprised they can’t see the handwriting on the wall already. Maybe this will wake them up. All the old prejudices will make themselves known now through Trump and Cruz. Anti Catholic, anti jew, anti women, anti people of color, anti immigrants, anti native American, anti muslim, anti second language speakers, anti liberal, and just plain anti government and democracy.
Df, this bigotry comes from Trump because he’s responsible for telling people that the open expression of hatred is okay. Trump is not fit to clean the shoes of the President, let alone replace him in the White House. I hope this rouses all religious groups to rally against Trump and denounce him in all public forums. And how fitting that this ugliness makes itself felt in the holiest of seasons for Jews and Christians.
Sw, what really got to me was that while the President and FLOTUS were celebrating and dancing at the Inaugural balls, he had this heaviness on his heart, not knowing whether he could fix this crisis for the American people and whether all his promises would go up in smoke. I was also touched by the comment that he wanted to leave the next president (Hillary) a stronger foundation on which to build than he was given.
Understandable, given the months of campaigning with big plans to make a difference; a difference that at the time did not seem so impossible to achieve. Then, walking into the door, finding that the changes you wanted to effect — the “promises” you had made — had to be put on hold for a crisis that proved to be bigger and more complex than even those who thought they knew could comprehend. Add to that, being basically slapped in the face in coming to the realization that the things that should have been simple, that should have been a given were going to be a struggle because of an agenda put in place by the opposition to obstruct pretty much anything you proposed.
Fortunately, President Obama was reasonable enough and sensible enough to know when to fight and when to “settle” such that progress was made (and continues to be made) and a basis for continued growth was established… (for Hillary ;-) )
This what happened in CA when community college wad free. Some people never graduated kept taking classes. People came from other states and got a free quality education. Instead of charging tuition, pay less for humanity majors and pay more for students to study engineering with internships and jobs waiting for them. The 45yr old who is still in school, cut him off. Make college limited-time 4yrs and after that you pay. Make companies pay for higher degrees like Masters. Let them go to classes at night. Unless you are going into teaching or medicine then its free until you are done and are actually teaching or assigned to a hospital or private practice.
There is something about success that does not sit well with some folks. As PBO says he is humbled by the office. Most of those running seem to think the office is all powerful and are emboldened by the prospect of being President. Watch the BBC video Bernie.
He’d settle for Noam Chomsky. Because his loony supporters would rather have no one confirmed and keep the court in disarray, than a reasonable, thoughtful jurist. Or does BS think he’ll flip the Senate to a filibuster-proof majority?
Oh, wait. BS will be torn apart as the Second Coming of Stalin and Lenin by then anyway.
For one second, he was supportive of PBO but he let hate and ideology and ego win again.
OK - I haven’t said much about Bernie as I’ve respected his reasons for getting in and the work he has put in. But this is sheiser.
He assumes that the nominee will not have been confirmed, when he should be. Every nominee has had a hearing since 1875.
Confirm this President’s nominee!!
The average wait time till confirmation is 67 days. Plenty of time before the new SCOTUS session in October.
Shut thy piehole Bernie — and spend your time learning about foreign policy.
President Obama has a bigger grasp on these issues - including constitutional matters - than you ever will.
On reflection: Have never said the word “piehole” or to shut it or anything like that before! It is incredibly rude and I am sorry for it.
Think I had just read that piehole line somewhere and it came out on here. Visual stuff has power over humans!
IMO, that’s why we gotta say No to lot of negative visuals for ourselves and our children.
We must be polite if we want other to be, OK.
Sorry about that Bernie.
At this point, I can’t stand the sight of this arrogant jerk. Joining in with GOP to undermine President Obama’s absolute right to nominate and expect a vote on this issue? NOPE NOPE NOPE
The Sanders campaign needs to shut down now. This man is way over his head and is alienating more people by the day. I hope the word quietly goes out from the DNC that it’s time to put an end to this charade.
I am worried about Bernie supporting Hillary like she did Obama after the GE. Without Bernie leading his supporters to vote for her we could lose to the Donald by Sanders supporters staying home. I would not even be too surprised if they would vote GOP out of spite. After all they do not seem to see the big picture. I heard an NPR interview yesterday of a Bernie supporter saying she could not vote for Hillary cuz she lies (which is true and it has bothered me a lot) but she might have to vote for Trump. Like Trump does not lie! The press needs to point out his lies for these newbies that are too lazy to find facts about the Donald.
Good Morning TODville. I have ignored all the Berniebots on my timeline but I now have decided reply in short replies. Last night I had a long talk with my 40 year old son. There were many things he didn’t realize about Bernie, especially how he isn’t a Dem and is running as an independent in Vermont and that he hasn’t helped any of the downline. He appreciated all the information. He isn’t a full Berniebot but he really likes his ideas.
I found this great analysis of the delegate count and how Hillary will win and Bernie doesn’t have a chance. Read all the tweets in this timeline.
538 has developed a state by state delegate goal system based on past voting patterns and demographic breakdown. The system used the info 1/
President Barack Obama plans to nominate Air Force Gen. Lori Robinson to be the head of U.S. Northern Command — which would make her the first female combatant commander, Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced Friday.
Robinson is now the head of Pacific Air Forces. If confirmed by the Senate, she would replace Adm. Bill Gortney, who’s been in the post since 2014.
Northern Command is one of the nation’s six regional combatant commands, tasked with helping defend the homeland. As head of a military combatant command, Robinson would be in the chain of command and answer directly to Carter.
I think Bernie is making all the classic mistakes that Hillary made in 2008, conversely, Hillary is doing almost the exact same thing that Barack did in 08′. Barack defeated Hillary by not fighter her on his side of the field, he took all of her attacks and deflected them by talking more about what he would do if elected President. In the end she came off as being very negative. If you notice Hillary only attacks Bernie if she is being attacked. And poor, Bernie, he’s out there attacking both Hillary and Barack if provoked or not.
I know that’s true but I keep hoping something might register with the GOP other than money. We are having a big flake snowfall today….that better be it! I’m changing my snow tires next week. 🌞
You are quite the optimist, I must say!
a) I have no hopes left where the GOP is concerned.
b) I ain’t touching my snow tires for at least another *month*. Given the fact that we haven’t had consistent snow this winter I am half (okay, a quarter) expecting something else major before the season is safely over. :/

Haven’t told a great grandson story in a while, thank you for your indulgence. Ha!
My second little great grandboy in Florida, who’s 2, is all of a sudden spilling out “the words.” Last night on the phone, he told me “Come visit us.” First time he said that, all on his own! Today, his Mommy sent me a recording of him, as he repeated his colors. She told me that when she’s telling him not to do something, sometimes he covers his ears and says “Ugh. Annoying.”
‘Haven’t told a great grandson story in a while’ Grrrr, don’t I know it! :D
So, when is the ‘visit”; sounded like a command to me - you sure don’t want the lad to get annoyed with you.
*grin-grin* I’ve been hanging around somewhere online all week, ;) but when I’m playing Scrabble the timer is so fast that I have to wait till the game’s finished before I check back in.
I think you should accept the young man’s invitation sooner, rather than later. You don’t want him writing before you get there! :D
Wow, JO’B, that’s very verbal for a 2 year old. Our granddaughter really started talking and holding sustained conversations last summer before her third birthday. She has a funny way of pronouncing words with o in them like you would say the French o in monsieur. It always cracks me up. How is your son doing?
He’s 2 years and 4 months, and finally blabbing about everything! I love your story about your granddaughter and her o words! Language is magical to them (and to us), in any event!
Thanks for asking about my son - he’s doing well. Had regular check-up with primary today. Next big event is his pre-op appointment with plastic surgeon on March 29, in prep for his close-up surgery (which, hopefully, will be in April). He’s keeping his spirits up, thank God!
The difference between the Republican and Democratic parties has never been clearer
There is a deep pull in political punditry toward asserting symmetry between the two political parties — whatever sins one party is guilty of, surely the other party is no better. But this was a week in which the pretense of symmetry between the modern Democratic and Republican parties fell away.
The Democratic Party is acting like the political parties we have traditionally known in American politics: It is backing familiar politicians with deep institutional ties and, amidst divided government, nominating compromise figures with the potential for bipartisan appeal.
The Republican Party, however, is moving in a different and worrying direction: It is nominating an inexperienced demagogue whose appeal is precisely that he has no institutional ties, and it is refusing to even consider compromise with the sitting president.
NCLB, I believe Trump is promising everyone the vice presidency in order to get what he wants from. Anyone who believes him on anything is a fool or knows nothing about his business dealings. He has zero sense of integrity and will never honor any ‘promise’ if it doesn’t serve his needs.
Trump may think he can win the AA vote by having Carson be his VP. Hope that does not work as it will likely peel off votes like the Bernie supporter saying she would not vote for Hillary cuz she lies. Then says she may have to vote for Trump.
Obamacare
Inside Obama’s White House Episode 2 of 4
With exclusive interviews from president Obama and his White House team, episode two tells the story of Obama’s greatest legacy: healthcare.
When Obama announced his proposals for affordable, accessible healthcare for every American, he sparked a bitter conflict. Within weeks of his launch, members of Congress were confronted by angry ‘Tea Party’ protesters.
As opposition grew, Obama’s top advisers asked him to go for a less ambitious bill - he refused. His chief of staff knocked heads together inside his own party, as Democrats in Congress began to fight amongst themselves. The final battle was over abortion - the Catholic bishops tried to kill the bill. The hero who saved him was Sister Carol Keehan. She mobilized 59,000 US nuns and faced down the bishops to get Obama the votes he needed.
But in the midterm elections, Obama lost more seats in Congress than any president since 1938. The Tea Party now had 60 members and the Republicans would block all his future major reforms.

‘The South Side’ tackles Chicago segregation, highlights black neighborhoods
By Jeremy Mikula
Chicago has a segregation problem. That isn’t exactly news to anyone who’s set foot in the city, but ask journalist and author Natalie Moore, and she’ll tell you segregation is a fact of life for Chicagoans, particularly South Siders.
“People know that segregation exists, but they don’t always think about it,” said Moore, WBEZ’s South Side Bureau reporter and the author of “The South Side: A Portrait of Chicago and American Segregation.” “It’s like air and water: You just kind of live it, but you don’t think about it.”
In “The South Side,” which will be published by St. Martin’s Press March 22, Moore investigates how segregation informs South Side living, exploring the structural impact it has on schooling, housing, food access, politics and violence. Moore interweaves touches of family history and her experiences growing up in Chatham, her parents’ move to Beverly, and living in Bronzeville and Hyde Park, where she currently resides.

This is why we have to “vote early and often,” in the great words of Tip O’Neill. It’s GOTV time for Democrats, as important as ever.
That is the true bottom line, I know.
Fingers crossed we Democrats do it!

Good Friday to Chips and TODville. Another incredible week behind and ahead with President Obama!!
It would be ironic if she wins with that name. :)
Inorite? Time for Judgement Day!
Bringing this video over…Thanks JackieG for making us aware of it.
It is and incredible vision into the presidency. No wonder PBO has so many gray hairs. He was however, the right man for the job in this time.
watching this now. Amazing. Simply amazing.

I’m not surprised by this move, this is President Obama.
Wonderful!
I doubt the GOP Senators will confirm her.
Is this a cabinet position that needs the rethugs’ approval?
I think Bernie is making all the classic mistakes that Hillary made in 2008, conversely, Hillary is doing almost the exact same thing that Barack did in 08′. Good Morning BFF and TOD.
I wonder if guys like Mitch McConnell are ever shamed by bad press and unflattering cartoons?
Wonder no more, the answer is ‘No’. Evidence points to the fact these Republicans canNOT be shamed!
Greetings from our overcast corner, AlmaB! :)
I still have faith in el ñiño unlike the GOP who are neither a party nor grand but for sure are old.

More signs of senility…
Carson is pathetic, and, in my *medical* opinion, ill. He’s got to be! Nevertheless that pic is enough to make me want to barf.
NCLB, I believe Trump is promising everyone the vice presidency in order to get what he wants from. Anyone who believes him on anything is a fool or knows nothing about his business dealings. He has zero sense of integrity and will never honor any ‘promise’ if it doesn’t serve his needs.

and Bernie continues to Burn…one day he will burn himself out
Ha! Berniebots mistake ingrained misogyny for “feeling the Bern.”
Now, it’s the Liberals’ fault.
What? The GOP turning on their faithful corporate MSM lapdogs? You don’t say!
They all deserve the circular firing squad.
whenever this is the outcome…look to the prosecutor….grand juries always indict if the prosecutor is looking for an indictment
The only time they can “man-up” is when they talk about women issues.
