President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama board Air Force One at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. He is the first U.S. president to visit the island in nearly 90 years
All I see is a post presidency VOGUE spread for Mrs. Obama, Malia and Sasha. They are so beautiful and classy. They remind me of old money families. Quiet classy elegance.
Those two girls are SO beautiful! I’m so glad the entire family is going. The world is thrilled too…..and most of America is. I’m just blocking out the nasty third.
The President’s trip to Cuba actually brings nostalgia to me. We moved to D.C. in 1957. People went to Havana for gambling holidays, sun, the beach…..it was not a long trip. When I rode the bus down 16th St. I went past the Cuban embassy. It was beautiful, with the front filled with exotic tropical plants; just a pleasure to see. Then…….after 1959, everything changed. The embassy was boarded up, a huge fence built around it…..it looked depressing, ugly. Every time I rode by it was jarring. One place I hope to see when we go to D.C. this June is the Cuban embassy. That will, to me, be one symbol of hope and change accomplished. Thank you President Obama.
On Monday March 21st OFA and Move On will be holding 50 events throughout the country to demand that Senators DoTheirJob and hold hearing on the Supreme Court Nominee
