Our learned Dr Bobfr or any other TODDER’s I need some education on this, I was watching ESPN and some of the analyst mostly those of Cuban heritage not happy with POTUS over Cuba, I am just wondering what type of governance was in Cuba before Castro’s takeover, how did the people in power treat the minorities like mixed race and blacks it just occurs to me is that mostly the white Cubans are really not happy with POTUS, I know a most lost all belongings and life, and some still in jails when the Castro took over but at some point we need to change direction after 50yrs of policies that is not working. Imagine how Black’s feel about slavery and how blacks are still treated today by Americans even when we have a Black President
A RW dictator before Castro. And let’s be clear: young descendants of Cuban-Americans are VERY pro-ending embargo and normalizing relations with Cuba. It’s the diehard immigrants from the 60’s and early 70’s. They no longer speak for the Cuban-American community, but they are the only ones the MSM talks to, thereby skewing what people really think.
Good coverage, just listening to the sportscasters of Cuban heritage are not all pleased with this happening. They have been good talking mostly good about PBO. Still the guy who is Cuban talks how his grandfather would be horrified to see the President sitting next to a Castro. They are not willing to move to the future.
Get used to it. The future is now.
We have to move past yesterday and prepare for tomorrow. Those who refuse to do so, will be left behind to die like the dinosaur.
ahhh yes, the glory of capitalism, EPSN and MLB need to squeeze every red cent they can out of Ad revenue for an exhibition game. I’m so salty, they need to realize this importance of this game on a global level. somethings are more important than maximizing revenues people!’
A colleague and I were discussing this visit today and the ball game, and he said that he can see, in the future, a major league baseball team in Havana. What do you think? Does that seem possible in ten or twenty years? We know the situation in Cuba will change when both Castro brothers are gone. Anyhow, something to think about.
“home of thebrave” Trump just wants to build ever higher walls and have us all run and hide!
Meeeee
GGail!
Chips 3 >3
Uh Oh, I need food <3
Huh, and I was still back there topping up the party table!! Sighs
Hahahaha! NCLB, you’re beginning to scare me with these signs you’re finding. Thanks, (I think) :D :D
Youooooooo! Congrats, GGAil!

I’m watching ESPN. Here comes the First Family
Oh good. Thanks mtm! This live feed online is spotty. Very frustrating!

This is awesome. I am watching ESPN also.
Dammit did they just cut the sound on the feed? Arrrgh!
Oh it’s back!
Paging Her Honorable Chips.
We need pictures. Fast.
POTUS greeting Jackie Robinson’s wife and daughter at an MLB game in Cuba! Wow!
So who’s buying the popcorn and cracker jacks?
Of course POTUS is buying. The game is on ESPN.
:-D :-D :-D
What a moment of silence!!!
That was a real moment right there.
The First Daughters are so accustomed to crowds cheering for their Dad, that they just walk around him and keep going :-)
Interesting to see the ratings.
The little children are so cute
They are singing the stars spangled banner in Cuba, let that sink in.
Love the little ones escorting the players in and players carry them back off the field. Awwww! So sweet! :-D
OMG what a moment. So much history today.
They did a wave!!!! :-D
I thought I recognized Jeter:
POTUS reaches through the net to shake the hand of all the Tampa Bay players! Love it! :-)
I’ve never seen a white shirt so well on a man before (sorry for the gentlemen here but I don’t see you).
NCLB, that white shirt has caught my attention too - for some strange reason it looks especially good - wouldn’t you agree?
Of course.
Yes I would agree very especially very good.
That’s our GQ POTUS!
I know right?
Looks like the Cuban livestream is over???? GGGGRRRRRR!

Thanks for the link meta! :-)
NOPE, that went out, too. GRRRRRRR
Oh you’re right. I thought it was just a commercial break. Oh well. Back to ESPN on cable.
Get used to it. The future is now.

The girls look like they really do not want to be there; I understand. It would be more fun to be out sight-seeing or dancing in the squares.
Varona is first Cuban ball player to defect and return to play in Cuba!
By the way, ESPN is giving the game (for those with cable service).
Wow! Bing, Bang, Boom! 3 Up, 3 Out! :-)
Sasha not having it :D :D
