These are the folk at the front lines of the scourge that is #DAESH, a scourge that GWB and Dick Cheney and their gang (including the Saudis and other Salafists) enabled by their GREED, their lust for domination and their willing use of torture.

That’s telling it plainly and truthfully. Thanks, Bob. Unfortunately GWB and Cheney will never feel the effects of their own actions. They pain they create falls on others to endure.

I doubt we would have seen this statement of support and compassion before the President’s outreach to Rouhani. PBO has changed the world.

Good morning Ms. Chips, Danny and TOD family, I hope all is well with everyone this lovely Wednesday morning. Congrats Jackie, on being first this morning.

The greatest start of the day is when you wake-up in the morning and have all your faculties and mobility. If you don’t think so, try not waking up.

To all, I hope all your needs, wants, and desires are met today. <3 <3 <3

Thank God that President Obama is still the President of The United States of America. ⭐🏆 ⭐🏆 ⭐🏆

    GM TOD
What a lovely photo with which to begin the day. Once again, our PBO is facing people that our govt. has wronged in the past, to heal old, but still open wounds and to forge away for the future. I remember early in his first term when he visited Latin America alone and how he impressed the other leaders with his willingness to listen and to treat everyone with respect. He did not try to take over the meetings, nor did he sit in the head seat. When the press was salivating about a possible meeting with Hugo Chavez of Venezuela (now deceased) he handled that with his usual calm aplomb. Our President has spent most of his time in office cleaning up the mess of the 2nd part of the 20th century and that of the first part of the 21st. He has truly forged a path and left a blue print for all future presidents to carry this country into a golden future. President Barack Hussein Obama IS the most transformative president (yes, even light years beyond FDR) that we have ever had.

Per bbc, both the attackers were known to the belgian police before for criminal activities. One of them was even on terror watch list apparently. Combined with the fact that they took 4 months to catch the paris bomber who was living in their own country, the belgian police is not coming out as that very good.

It was shocking when Hillary Clinton said yesterday that the Belgians do not and would not conduct night raids. She said everyone working to defeat terrorists needs to have a consistent high level of preparedness and strategy.

Morning, Df. It is beyond understanding that a person would have so much hatred that they would willing destroy themselves and someone they loved in order to kill a lot of other people. This isn’t cause driven, it’s insanity driven.

    GM TODville.

Dudette posted this on the overnight thread, which gives good perspective of why (with good reason) Latin America at times seems so anti-American.

(This tweet was posted on St Patrick’s Day.)

Here’s my response to her post (keep in mind how this country [especially emoprogs?] would react on the 40th anniversary of such an atrocity):

    * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
RWNJs and Trump supporters would like our nation to be more like it was during the colonization of Latin America and during the Cold War.

Someone (our MSM? [hah, rhetorical question]) needs to inform today’s Americans of our nation’s shameful history when it comes to places like Argentina and Iran.

Have always despised Kissinger. From the article:
“This is a delicate matter, of course, given the US’ involvement in the Argentine dictatorship. It is now common knowledge that then US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger encouraged and provided strategic support to the violence that saw some 30,000 “disappeared” — seized and taken to internment centers to be tortured and killed — as part of the proxy wars fought in the Cold War’s context.”

RWNJs would never admit such “weakness” yet are the first to demand that other nations apologize for past actions.

(Tweets sent before AF1 landed in Argentina):

Ted Cruz’s terrorism freakout: He perfectly demonstrates how to not appear “presidential” after a terrorist attack
Ted Cruz lectures Barack Obama about post-terrorism leadership, then proposes creating an anti-Muslim police state
    SIMON MALOY

News of the Brussels terrorist attacks came at an opportune moment for Republicans who are ever eager to paint President Obama as a weakling on the world stage. The bombings occurred as the president was in the middle of his historic visit to Cuba, and Obama’s Republican and conservative critics leaped at the opportunity to make a devastating non sequitur: while terrorism strikes in Belgium, Obama is hanging out with the Castros. It’s a two-fer that casts Obama as weak on both terrorism and international communism. Those lines of attack shoot right for the dopamine centers of the right-wing national security lizard brain.

Obama, for his part, issued a brief statement on the attacks on Monday morning, saying that the United States stands with Belgium and will “do whatever is necessary” to bring the responsible parties (early signs point to the Islamic State) to justice. “This is yet another reminder that the world must unite,” Obama said, “we must be together, regardless of nationality, or race, or faith, in fighting against the scourge of terrorism.” It was a condensed version of the statements Obama delivered in response to the November 2015 Paris terrorist attacks and the San Bernardino terrorist attack the month after that: unity, resolve, calm.

By the time the Obama Administration is history (:( ) I may remember that embedded tweets don’t appear here:

Probably a translation quirk, but this description of Presidents Bi-Lat made me smile:
The two leaders will then go alone to the Presidential office located on the first floor and will hold a bilateral meeting, a lovely little catch up.

Here’s what I think:) I bet that Trump was on the verge of yet another bankruptcy and had to infuse lots of $$ into his brand….this run infuses the $$, and frees him up to make the most extreme statements about anything he wishes! He doesn’t have to have a filter…the less filter, the better…because, you know…he’s a normal guy and not pc:) He knew that he wouldn’t win, but since that’s not really the goal, it doesn’t matter….MSM eating this shit with a spoon and he makes $$/// diverts attention from his $$$ troubles and failing brand….

    Who’s with me? :)

PF, I read the first article. I think Robert Sherrer is now a conspiracy theorist and is always denigrating PBO. Haven’t read the other yet. Just need to comment on this 1st. It is a horrible time in history, but these journalists have no idea what this POTUS will do at any given moment when he is doing his diplomacy and course corrections. But thank you for highlighting these article. They are necessary.

met do you get tired of it too? Anything the Obamas does these people are whining about tax dollars. My tax dollars were spent when G.W. , Laura, and their twins left D.C. G.W. Bush visit Argentina in 2005. How much of our tax dollars are being spent to keep Gitmo open? Have we paid for that disaster call Iraq?

So sick of it, bella. I saw a post about how PBO wasted tax $$ to go to Cuba just to go to a baseball game unlike other presidents who travel to negotiate deals. Honestly, people never bother to read, just love to whine.
