Creepy RWNJ governor of Georgia will veto the hateful and discriminatory anti-LGBT “religious freedom” bill in that state. One down; NC to go (for all I know NC already chucked it). Yuck. They got caught at their creepy ways!
Dealās “legacy” has been bringing jobs and revenue to GA. I wondered if he would allow that to be tarnished…he had a lot of pressure/threats from Republicans and religious groups to sign it.

The measure ādoesnāt reflect the character of our state or the character of its people,ā the governor said Monday in prepared remarks. He said state legislators should leave freedom of religion and freedom of speech to the U.S. Constitution.
āTheir efforts to purge this bill of any possibility that it would allow or encourage discrimination illustrates how difficult it is to legislate something that is best left to the broad protections of the First Amendment,ā he said.
how about a constitutional amendment to make a third of supremes retire at the end of every presidential term and making the confirmation of new prezās picks within a month of his presidency mandatory?
Though you might get rid of a justice or two that you might not like, youād also might get a justice you despise to take the place of the justice you like.
Sure, thatās part downside. Each batch of three gets a 12 year term, which should be good enough. Since itās a 6 to 3 at every term, the balance is not likely to be shaken up that much. Any thing is better than the current silly for life judges system even when they have hit senility.
Morning folks! Itās sure good to see that the Easter bunnies in WDC are not ‘under the weatherā. Looking out my window itās dreary, overcast, drizzly and not looking like fun at all so I was apprehensive that the WDC bunnies would be encountering similar weather. So happy the weather there looks so much better!
Happy, and healthier, last-week-in-March 2016 to everyone!
*chuckle-chuckling*
Good point. š In truth, Iām not cold. The temperature is ‘just rightā (shorts & sleeveless weather for me), and itās only when I look out the window that Iām aware of the dreariness of the day. Thanks for the reminder that ‘Lifeās good!ā

Brussels attacks: Belgium releases terror murder suspect.
A man known as Faycal C, the only person arrested and charged with involvement in the Brussels attacks, has been released for lack of evidence.
Belgian media have given the manās full name as Faycal Cheffou.
//
n a statement, the Belgian federal prosecutorās office said: “The indications that led to the arrest of Faycal C were not substantiated by the ongoing inquiry.
“As a result, the subject has been released by the examining magistrate.”
He had been charged only two days before with “taking part in a terrorist group, terrorist murder and attempted terrorist murder”.
Belgian public TV and Le Soir daily identified the freed man as Mr Cheffou, a freelance journalist.

This guy here might need to relocate and change his name. Sorry about that old chap, you arenāt the terrorist weāve been looking for, have a nice day.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans are streaming back into an improving labor market as employers raise wages and hire less skilled job candidates to cope with an intensifying worker shortage.
Hundreds of thousands of Americans are streaming back into an improving labor market as employers raise wages and hire less skilled job candidates to cope with an intensifying worker shortage.
The portion of the U.S. population working or looking for jobs ā known as the labor force participation rate ā has risen to 62.9% from 62.4% since September, Labor Department figures show. The rate had been falling since 2008, mostly because of baby boomer retirements, and thatās still expected to be the long-term trend.
Yet part of the decline was caused by a bruising post-recession job market that prompted discouraged workers to drop out of the labor force and many other unemployed Americans to retire, go on disability or return to school.
At least some of those idled workers are returning to work or looking again now that the jobless rate has fallen to 4.9%, a level many economists consider full employment. Theyāve been drawn back by employers who are raising pay or becoming less selective.
A model first lady, despite receiving unprecedented scorn

I recently attended a White House event that featured the cast of the Broadway hit āHamilton.ā But it was the host for the occasion who was most impressive: first lady Michelle Obama, still standing tall, chin up, despite nearly eight years of enduring the kind of crudities that the wives of some of the current presidential candidates are starting to get a taste of.
Personal insults in politics are certainly nothing new, and even first ladies have long been regarded as fair game. But racial contempt for the Obamas and the development of so many new ways to express it resulted in an unprecedented barrage of ugliness toward her.
In a speech to graduates at Tuskegee University in Alabama last year, she recalled having āa lot of sleepless nights .ā.ā. fearing how my girls would feel if they found out what some people were saying about their mom.ā
But itās not just uncivil discourse that poisons the political environment.
Watch out TOD family, my video will be coming soon. You will see me crying because POTUS and FLOTUS will no longer be President and First Lady. Maybe it will get me the chance to meet them.
Just chiming in for a brief moment to wish dudette a speedy recovery on this Easter Monday, and some yummy eating of Easter dinner leftovers, if her tummy will allow. Hope it was all uneventful for you dudette, at least todayās part. No comment on yesterdayās “events”.
May I latch onto your good wishes for Dudette, today, and add my own - and also send good wishes to our friend DonnaD! And anyone else whoās not 100% at present!

You are soooooo bad Don! LOL!!!
WHOA!! Money talks……..
Too bad it didnāt talk loud enough in NC! š¦ š¦
The NC Bill was snuck in there with very little debate, hence, the Pathetic Gov signed it into law within hours.
GOOD.
Another reason for us here in North Carolina to vote that Republican Governor out of office. And vote Roy Cooper in..
Are WE on the same page! I didnāt even see this before I posted mine:)
Yes we are, df!
You damn right heās going to veto it.
Especially since they are in the design phase of building a new sports Stadium. Nathan aināt no ole fool.
LOL from bj
I like Chobani yogurt
follow the $$$…or lack of it!
That Governor look mad. Look like a Klansman who had to let the black man off the hanging tree.
Yep. This time it was the gay man/woman, but similar madness.
do the nutsos have a veto proof majority?

Indeed!

Still canāt forgive him for not going with the Medicaid Expansion.
Thanks for that info. Yes, heās “not ready” for total forgiveness, yet. Maybe $omeday heāll $ee the light: $$$$.
When they all start caring about doing the right thing, rather than their political careers, weāll know that the light has been shone upon them.
Wonder how old weāll all be, then?
Hopefully, weāll be in our right mind; enough to be able to recognize it if/when it happens.
Ha. Iām for that!
The guy with the big ears has shown up … with the Easter Bunny! Ha.
How lucky is that baby POTUS picked up for the photo?!
I thought I saw Malia out there.
Yes she appeared briefly and hugged PBO and then one of the dogs - looks like she was heading out somewhere.
I love my Presidentās new checkered shirt…

me too…looks very fresh..

Oh trust me I understand what you are saying, maybe its time to put a term limit on Supreme Court Justices.
In my world Don they all have to retire at age 70. Allows a good turnover and some young ‘uns into the mix on a regular basis.

Evening, Chipsā Petal! How have you been this not-so-fine, cool, rainy, overcast day?
hot, humid and very very shiny.
Sigh!
(Iāll console myself with the #jj thought that shiny isnāt always ….. genuine.)
Look, the colder you get, the more layers you can add.
