I know when Il Douche claimed that “blood was coming out from wherever”, it was his blood! Yeap, blood from his eyes.

What a riot! We have to get rid of this candidate if not in Cleveland, definitively in November.

Google April Fool Gmail button sparks backlash.

Google has removed an April Fool’s Gmail button, which sent a comical animation to recipients, after reports of people getting into trouble at work.

The button appeared beside Gmail’s normal send button and allowed users to shut down an email thread by sending a gif of a Minion dropping a microphone.

However, a flurry of complaints about the button appeared on Google’s forums.

The firm has since withdrawn the feature and apologised.

There are now more adults in the world classified as obese than underweight, a major study has suggested.

The research, led by scientists from Imperial College London and published in The Lancet, compared body mass index (BMI) among almost 20 million adult men and women from 1975 to 2014.

It found obesity in men has tripled and more than doubled in women.

Lead author Prof Majid Ezzat said it was an “epidemic of severe obesity” and urged governments to act.

The study, which pooled data from adults in 186 countries, found that the number of obese people worldwide had risen from 105 million in 1975 to 641 million in 2014.

Meanwhile the number of underweight people had risen from 330 million to 462 million over the same period.

[I was responding to a comment from NCLB in the Early Bird Chat regarding Bernie when I noticed a new post…]

While there are a lot of politically savvy individuals who are supporting Bernie (their reasons I’ve yet to figure out since they should know better than most that his promises are over-reaching and probably not achievable), there will be numerous young people who, at the end of his campaign, will be disillusioned.

I keep saying that I don’t believe that Bernie really wants to be POTUS. When you are serious about wanting a job, you prepare for it; you don’t wait until you have the job (as DT has alluded to on occasion). Outside of his attack on Wall Street, big Corporations, and Citizens United, I have seen little that indicates to me that Bernie is prepared to take over as POTUS and especially not as Commander-in-Chief. Given his years in Congress, I would expect him to be more knowledgeable about foreign affairs and have a better proposal or strategy for addressing issues beyond “I have better judgment because I voted against the Iraq War.” Even his domestic agenda seems limited to those issues that are near and dear to *his* heart. No, Bernie is not doing any real preparation for the job of POTUS/CIC because that is not his reason for running.

He berates HRC for the thousands she was paid for speeches. [Is that jealousy because no one would pay that much to hear him speak?] But via the me-e-e-e-e-ilions he collected in campaign contributions, he is in essence charging big bucks to hear him speak on his limited topic. These large rallies are like helium to his ego and he gets bolder the more his ego is inflated. His selfishness in holding on tight to these contributions to further *his* agenda rather than sharing with the down-ticket candidates is another indication that his has no desire to be president. He, of all people, should know the importance of electing these candidates to help him meet his agenda if he were to become POTUS.

These Bernie supporters — especially the younger ones — may discern that they are being used as props for his fundraising efforts, and that Bernie’s “revolution” has a different meaning for him than what he has led them to believe.

And *true Democrats are angered and resentful about the damage he is doing to the party as he pursues his *real* agenda.

One would think that with all President Obama and his team have accomplished that the choice between Hillary and Bernie wouldn’t be that difficult of a choice. I just can’t understand the voter that voted for President Obama twice going out and voting for Bernie Sanders, I cannot follow that logic. On the other hand Hillary having served in Obama’s administration should be running away with this thing. She shouldn’t be getting bogged down in petty street fights with Sanders. As I said earlier, Sanders is a political arsonist in that if he can’t get his way he’s going to try to burn down the Democratic Party which he tolerates at best.

Just as there were those who didn’t like the idea that there was a black man smarter than them, there are those who don’t like the idea of a woman being smarter. The attacks started on Hillary Clinton long before she formally announced her candidacy. A double standard seems to be the norm when attacking her…she’s yelling; she needs to smile more; look at what she’s wearing today. They will call *her* a liar, but not the male candidates where just about every word that comes out of their mouths are lies.

It is rare that she is addressed in a way that will allow her intelligence to shine…that *she* is the one that is setting realistic expectations…that will show that of all the candidates, *she* is the most prepared for the job.

I think part of this is most definitely the manipulations of GOP like Rove. I partly hope and partly dread the realization on the part of young voters that they were deceived. With the absolute wonder that is the President, as a supporter I have never ever ever felt so good about volunteering for and voting for someone. I feel so proud of that effort because of who the President is and what he has done and continues to do. I want to be in his court and that’s after seven years.

57, I was sick when I heard what has happened in NY yesterday. To have these “so called Democrats” yelling “If she wins, we loose.” was a disgrace. HRC handled it very well.

Bernie keeps on repeating his wild promises and even wilder attacks on billionaires, millionaires and Wall Street. Does he know how many people, NYers and NJans work in Wall Street? Does he want them to be out of a job?

      • 37 57andfemale

BS has yet to disavow this behavior. He can’t or won’t lead his own mob now, how does that bode if, God forbid, he became POTUS. PBO would NEVER get away with this. He was held accountable for every utterance of every supporter on the street. The misogyny, racist, vehemently vengeful utterances of his campaign and his supporters get a total pass.

“Having reached the required ratifications, President Barack Obama announced at the opening plenary on April 1 that the 2005 Amendment to the Convention on the Protection of Nuclear Materials (CPPNM) will enter into force in 30 days. The amended convention will set binding security standards on nuclear facilities and nuclear material that is in domestic storage, use, or transit. Entry into force is a critical step forward for strengthening the nuclear security system, as the original treaty, which entered into force in 1987, only required parties to protect nuclear material in international transit.”

Through OFA’s partnership with MoveOn.org, OFA volunteers are invited to join Senator Elizabeth Warren on a special phone call this Monday, April 4 at 8 p.m. ET.

Senator Warren will be talking to volunteers about the importance of keeping up the Supreme Court fight—and how critical it is for senators to hear from their constituents.

But don’t wait—they’re only accepting RSVPs until tonight at midnight. Register for the call before it’s too late. NOTE: If you live in Maine, Massachusets, and South Carolina, because of legal restrictions around phone calls, you can register for the call here.

I hope you’ll join us for the exciting opportunity to hear Senator Warren talk about the importance of the SCOTUS fight!
