Last night I went to a county Democratic campaign launch and fundraiser and this is what I learned:

    1) The Clinton campaign/Democratic Party is serious about electing down ticket Dems as well as winning the presidency. We will have a tri-county coordinator, as will other counties in the state, whose job is to promote ALL candidates, including those for the state house. As the coordinator explained to us, we must win the presidency, but we need a Democratic Congress and state houses to move forward. Amen. (This is something PBO has said time and again. There is only so much he can accomplish by Executive Order. We need a Congress that does its job.)

    2) Our county has been assigned a Latina coordinator who is very committee to getting out the Latino vote!!! Yeah!!!!

    3) We have Democratic challengers for every race in our tri-county area so no Democrat will feel they have no one to vote for.

Side note: as glorious as it is to have great candidates, the fundraising needs can leave you impoverished. On the other hand, if they all win, we will be poor, but happy.

      GM Dudette!

This woman is so good-natured, the best quality a person can possess, IMHO.

Even if you despise or are fatigued by Star Wars, it’s impossible NOT to be caught up in her infectious laughter, outright joy.:)

Looking forward to PBO’s historic Asian trip — not only does he bear the burdens of white Americans to “fix racism” (despite MSM dutifully promoting racism as GOP propaganda-machine), but he’s bearing the responsibility of healing American wounds from the twin guilts of two defining 20th-century wars: Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the background behind everything that happened between 1965-1975, the Vietnam War (of course in Vietnam it is referred to the “American War.”)

Been following @JapanTimes for local perspective on PBO’s visit (have to be selective, they only allow 15 views per month), but hilariously have picked up on this video:) .

Anyhow, my son bought them BeyoncĂŠ tickets for Mother’s Day… and my one dil went bonkers.. there is a video and she is so happy, so cute and full of joy, I couldn’t stop laughing- enjoying her happiness along with her.

Um.. I got a trip to Home Depot for Mother’s day.. just saying😉 Confession- I Love and Need Home Depot, lol.

I took my kid to the movies last night to see the “Angry birds.” There were two kids sitting next to me that talked throughout the entire movie, they gave away the plot and everything. And apparently I never knew my son could laugh so loud, and he has to make a big show out of eating popcorn and drinking coke.

Remember that fucking idiot James O’Keefe — the failed conservative prankster who tends to record himself committing felonies when trying to expose liberal wrongdoing? He has attempted another sting operation, and in typical O’Keefe fashion, he pulled off the metaphorical equivalent of stuffing a hornet’s nest down his own pants.

Jane Mayer of The New Yorker has the goods here. To summarize, in March, O’Keefe targeted a woman who works for the George Soros-funded Open Society Foundation, leaving a phone message under a fake name, “Victor Kesh,” to try to set up a meeting so he could worm his way into her confidence and secretly record her (for subsequent deceptive editing, judging from O’Keefe’s usual M.O.).

But after leaving the message, O’Keefe/Kesh didn’t hang up the phone properly, so the intended victim was treated to a recording in which the O’Keefe brain trust laid out the entirety of their plan like the band of bumbling dipshits that they are:

Families of victims of downed Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 are suing Russia and its President Vladimir Putin in the European Court of Human Rights.

The jet was shot down by a Russian-made missile over eastern Ukraine in 2014, killing all 298 on board.

The West and Ukraine say Russian-backed rebels were responsible but Russia accuses Ukrainian forces.

The families’ claim is based on the violation of a passenger’s right to life, News.com.au reported.

The claim is for 10 million Australian dollars ($7.2m; ÂŁ4.9m) for each victim, and the lawsuit names both the Russian state and its president as respondents.

Raining here, too. I wish we could gift it to dry California. My yard is wall-to-wall weeds but can’t be worked in (it’s a hillside) until the ground is drier. Might have to read a book today instead.:)

Same here Judith. We have had rainy, cool days. Everything is so green, but I would like to send it to California for some sunny days. I hired a friend to pull weeds out in the front boulevard where everyone drives by. I figured at least from what people can see they won’t think I am a total slacker. My pink lilacs have yet to fully bloom. All the need is some sun to really pop. We are going camping and fly fishing over Memorial Day. Hoping for sunny weather.

    http://www.cbs5az.com/story/32030011/nestle-will-bottle-city-water-at-new-plant?autostart=true

    PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK) -
Nestle is tapping into the Sonoran Desert’s water supply, by building a massive bottling plant in Phoenix.

The company will spend $35 million turning a warehouse near 43rd Avenue and Buckeye Road into a facility which will bottle 35 million gallons of city water each year.

Nestle will hire between 40 and 50 people, and sell the water under its “Pure Life” brand in Arizona stores.

“It’s ironic to put a water bottling plant in one of the driest cities in the country,” Sandy Bahr of the Sierra Club said.

“It’s crazy. I mean, we’ve been talking about shortages on the Colorado River, and Lake Mead just keeps dropping,” she said.

This week, water levels in Lake Mead dropped to the lowest level in history.

Still, Nestle company officials say their plan to bottle Phoenix city water makes good business sense.

“It makes sense to bottle water because water has become the beverage of choice for health conscious people. Demand for bottled water in the greater Phoenix area has grown 10% in the past year, which trends with national growth,” Jane Lazgin of Nestle said.

“Establishing a Phoenix facility reduces transportation miles for distribution from facilities in other parts of the western region and allows for faster, localized and more efficient service to our customers and consumers,” she added.

City of Phoenix officials approved Nestle’s plan and welcome the economic boost. They are not concerned about Nestle negatively impacting the city water supply.

Always $$$$ over people and property….

As I’ve mentioned before, am looking forward to witnessing PBO’s historic trip to Asia this week, hope to be awake for at least some of the events, but will definitely be tuned in here to share this healing between US and Vietnam and Japan.

Heard this on @cbsradionews at the top of the hour.

WTH??? This altercation began because NYPD (video describes location as “Harlem housing”) was attempting to arrest a man for an illegal dirt bike.

WTH????? An illegal dirt bike? How many young white men would be subjected to this treatment for a ticketable offense, not to mention the officer pointing his service revolver at bystanders? #IllegalDirtBike

I had a policeman pull me over last week because he said I was going 50 in a 60 mph zone. he gets off his motorcycle and approaches my car which I turned off before he got off his bike. He asks me if everything was okay, I said yes. He said the reason why he stopped me was because he said I was going slow and that he thought something was wrong. A month earlier I went through the intersection and turned into a lane, apparently my back tire casted a shadow on the median yellow line and I got pulled over by a patrolman. He told me why he pulled me over I didn’t even say anything back to him, he gave me a warning and he left. This is in addition to the numerous times I’ve been tailed by policemen. I’ve had policeman ride up along side of me and actually stare at me. When I’m driving home from work or from anywhere and a policemen pulls me over I call my wife out of instinct and I tell her to hold on so she can listen to the conversation.
