Congrats on first, Nancie. Good time to be strolling by. I am sad that MT went for Bernie, but it wasn’t a blowout like it was projected to be. Bernie only got 1 more delegate. Today is another busy day so I am off and running.
For me one week from today I will be in the plane flying to DC. I am flying in a day early. This will be such a great celebration.
My thoughts and prayers are with Chips, her mother, and their whole family. We are here to lend support. And thank you Nerdy Wonka for being the best BT ever.

Trump practices dominance politics, which involves intimidating rivals. But Clinton happens to be the type of person that Trump himself is intimidated by: a strong woman. Based on his experiences with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly and former GOP candidate Carly Fiorina, we know Trump is unnerved when challenged by assertive members of the opposite sex. Being mocked by a woman like Clinton is Trump’s worst nightmare, and he’s going to have to get used to it from now until November.

One great thing if Hillary wins, is that she won’t have to put most of her energy into cleaning up after the fuckups of GOP Presidents, like Obama and Bill Clinton had to do.

If you read that article last night about the dumpster fire that has become Bernie’s campaign, you really have to wonder when he talks about being able to veto HRC’s VP pick. I mean, what arrogance.
That article certainly cemented the issues people have with Bernie. We knew of his arrogance and pettiness but wow, we sure didn’t know just how deep it ran.
The idea that he believes he should be handed the nomination from a party that he has distanced himself from his political life is beyond ridiculous. Especially when he is not willing to work on behalf of down ticket Democrats and help to ensure that the Democratic party has a strong foothold for 2016 and beyond.
THIS NW!!!!! When we think about how much time PBO and HRC have spent their entire lives fundraising for the down ticket Dems, in addition to campaigning for them, and Bernie raised all that money and threw it away. Unforgivable. Not sure how he thought his “revolution” would happen with a R Congress but he sure wasn’t willing to share.
But, But, But Bernie was gonna Bring the Revolution through the Magical Bully Pulpit(TM) that he and only he has access to and make Congress do his bidding, doncha know! A good friend’s husband said as much to me with a straight face over the weekend at a party and I literally laughed (cackled actually) in his face and walked away. First of all, love, love, love those tweets at the top of the post Nerdy!
The tweet below tells a story that I totally relate too. I remember in 2012, chatting with my UPS guy about the election. He told me about how someone tried to run his girlfriend off the road because she had an Obama sticker on her bumper. I still proudly have my “Obama ’08” button dangling from my rear view mirror (along with a crystal too bless him and keep him safe
), but I never had a sticker because I couldn’t afford to have my car painted if it were to be keyed by some hater. That’s the same reason I don’t have an HRC sticker.
In recent weeks, I’ve walked around my neighborhood and oddly, there have been a glaring lack of lawn signs. There were 3 people with Bernie signs, but no HRC. There were some early HRC signs up, but I noticed that they were taken down when the campaign started to get ugly. As a woman, I noticed all of the online threats and violence, how people were being hacked, stalked and harassed and I just stayed quiet about my support, except for places I knew were safe, such as TOD.
I had a feeling, as I walked through my local streets, that there were many others like me, all sitting quietly inside of our houses, not making a peep, but soooo ready to go vote. Yay! I was correct.
I am not at all surprised by this. The media (NBC/MSNBC) tried to push the meme that the CA primary was neck and neck referring to their polling. But that same polling showed that Hillary was ahead 58-41 in early voting.

This is very important information, MS. The intimidation and the threats kept women out of the public eye, but it did not keep them from doing an outstanding job of voter outreach and GOTV. They worked under the radar without the theatrics and they WON, big. Seems emblematic of the way that women often go about doing the hard work of getting a job done-quietly, efficiently, effectively-while the men do the bragging. Now that HRC is the nominee more men will join the campaign because they want to be part of a success story.

Exactly, Jackie. No offense to our male TODers, but one of my favorite songs is “Classic Girl” by Jane’s Addiction. There is a line in the song that every woman will relate to:
“Such a classic girl,
She gives her man great ideas.
Then, hears you tell your friends,
Hey man, listen to my great idea!”
In other words, how often have you made a suggestion to your male partner and have him ignore it for months, only to come to you or someone else later with the same idea and no memory of its actual origin.
I remember my ex’s family was in town for a visit. His mom and step-dad were super right-wing Repubs, so I knew they would enjoy a visit to the Ronald Reagan library. His step dad was older and I knew this would probably be his last trip to CA, so, even though I myself had ZERO desire to visit the Reagan library, I decided to take them there. My ex complained and complained how he didn’t want to spend the day there, but grudgingly came along. The day came and I bit my tongue as they went through, worshiping on the alter of St. Ronnie. For those of you who’ve never been, there is a whole exhibit dedicated to his firing of the striking Air Traffic controllers. My ex’s parents commented to each other, “Yes, that’s what you have to do!” Ugh! My inner eye rolling was constant.
We headed home and my in-laws were on cloud 9, like two kids after Disneyland. My ex asked them, “Did you have a good time?” To which they replied, “Oh Yes! That was wonderful!”
My ex then tells them, “Good. It was so important for me that you have the opportunity to see it.”
I looked out the window, silently and dug my finger nails into my palm.
No question … she’s earned it …. and it sure as hell isn’t a ‘coronation’ ……
agreed. She earned it and she found her own voice.

Hey friends. I’ve been lurking for past four days. Have been at our church’s annual conference in the mountains of western NC. Few minutes ago on my way home from Kroger, was listening to John Fuglesang. Caller from PA (Liz) HUGE Bernie supporter said that Hillary HAS to earn her vote. Someone asked her to be specific — what does Hillary have to do to earn her vote. She couldn’t answer anything specific; just repeated that as far as she is concerned she has to earn the votes of EVERY Bernie supporter. So tired of these people. Hope this ends SOON!!!!

Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick’s Senate campaign is releasing a new ad that resurfaces the danged-fence spot for Arizonans who may have forgotten. The ad, done in Spanish, will debut in the Phoenix and Tucson markets on Univision during the big Copa America soccer games Thursday and Saturday, according to a Kirkpatrick aide.
