Geert Wilders: Dutch Freedom Party chief will be tried for racial hatred
The trial of Dutch anti-immigrant politician Geert Wilders is to go ahead after judges rejected a bid by his lawyers to have the case thrown out.
He is accused of inciting racial hatred after asking supporters at a rally if they would like more or fewer Moroccans in the Netherlands.
The trial date has been set for 31 October.
Mr Wilders claims he is being “prosecuted for voicing the opinion of millions”.

I’m glad she’s walking this back- it was shocking, quite honestly, to read her comments, and I assumed the context would explain her meaning.
I wondered about this. I was really disappointed in her response and could not understand why/how she held such a view and would give such a graceless answer. But then, I now wonder what does she really believe? Is this another case of an apology “if I have offended anyone” after the uproar that clearly shows great offense, but the person really meant what he/she said, or is it that she really did not know about Colin’s actions, the reasons for them, and the others who have followed suit? How was it possible not to be aware?
I’m curious, too. Why did she even answer if she wasn’t aware of the incident. And why didn’t she ask why?
I guess for now I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and figure maybe someone just said what do you think of this thing where this football player refused to stand for the American flag.
Another day and I’ve read two more accounts of women being sexually attacked by Trump. They are brave women, I’m glad to see that Gloria Allred and others are giving them legal coverage. Another prominent story with a recording of Trump talking with that awful radio host about how he lusts for emotionally disturbed teen girls like Lindsey Lohan. Hopefully the media will start using the appropriate terminology, “sexual predator”.

Trump cannot fathom the idea that other people are not like him. He has no core, no authentic feelings and all his words and actions are moves in a game intended make him out on top in any interaction. He cannot conceive of the fact that other have motivations beyond beating him. He wonders why no one accuses Pres. Obama of this stuff because he believes everyone else is just like him.
He is used to men behaving like Billy Bush in his presence - he believes every man on the planet fantasizes about being able to do whatever they like to woman. Not even a thought of personal scandal has touched the Obama years - and the GOP searched and searched.
This comment will have sent the remainder of the “undecideds” directly to Hillary Clinton.
