Fat women were not real women in his opinion. … He basically said if you are not attractive and beautiful, then you don’t have any purpose as a woman.” Vanity Fair editor-in-chief Graydon Carter, who handled seating for the event, said he recalled Kirsebom coming over to him “almost in tears” and begging to be moved to a different table. Trump had spent most of the night assessing women’s bodies and “asking how they measured up to those of other women,” Carter told The Daily Mail.
Good morning friends. My husband is on a three night, four day hiking/backpacking trip. When he is gone that long, I keep his email cleaned out (lots of junk that we all get) so he is not faced with that when he returns. I also keep open (on his computer) a window that allows me to track his steps. Love this!!!! It’s called SPOT. Anyway, I digress. Earlier this morning, I decided to check his Facebook page. Yuck! Quite a bit of right-wing hate and garbage. There was at least one post of everything Joy Reid has covered this morning: FLOTUS is a hypocrite because of Beyonce (2-3 of those posts), Hillary and Bill-his behavior and her behavior (emails, Benghazi, she’s a liar, criminal,etc.), liberal media is after Trump, blah, blah, blah. There was one guy (a hiker-that’s why my husband is friends w/him) that had posted most of these though there were 4-5 others from different folks-***ALL men btw!!😦 😦 On the one that had the most, I ended up clicking on ‘hide this post’/see less posts like this.
I know that my husband does not think and agree with those posts, but it distresses me that I know he sees them and you know it has at least a small subliminal effect on him. As I’ve told you all before, he can’t stomach Trump, but also can’t stand Hillary/the Clintons. Fairly sure he would have voted for Joe Biden, but will never vote for Hillary. Guessing he will be one of those R’s who will not vote. We have no local or state elections of any significance and we are certainly not even close to being a swing state. Will be so glad and relieved when this is over!!

I’m starting to worry about the psyche of the white male. First we have an African American President for eight years, and then when you think the coast is clear we’re about to elect the first Female President for presumably eight years. I mean my goodness, it’s a good thing we have the t.v. show “Designated Survivor,” to at least help heal those bruised psyches. I have a theory about this show, I think it was developed and produced to reintroduce America to the idea of a White Male President.
Hmmm. Interesting thought, Don. Will say that never entered my mind, but you may be correct. Will be giving that more thought.
My feeling is that after Nov 9th, the rapist will form his own alt-reich party cleaving away his ‘famous’ base from gopee and after a few months/weeks will ditch the rubes. And the rubes will rant & rot.
Donald Trump is not a politician or a Republican at heart, he is a businessman and promoter at heart. He will probably form is own party but it won’t last because he’s not a true believer in the Republican way. Mike Pence speaks the Republican language, Trump does not. Sarah Palin and Donald Trump are cut from the same cloth, all flash and no substance. The Republican candidate for President in 2020 will be hell on wheels, trust me, he or she will be polished beyond belief minus the bullshit. The midterms in 2018 will be crucial to the Democratic Party going into 2020.

Agree with COS re: projection, but the most troubling aspect for me is that because broadcast media cling to their “both sides” standards (and hire shallow thinkers) what their audience HEARS is ONLY negative things about HRC.
Only the negative… IIRC have not heard a single positive statement about HRC on @CBS radio news this year (don’t have TV, have no idea what they’re airing).
To cite only the latest example (which I heard earlier today):
It’s crazy, arapaho415. Trump’s description of HRC at the second debate is the same as what people were saying about him on twitter after the first debate when some wondered if *he* was on drugs.
It’s been Trump 24/7 again and the coverage is not only getting to the supporters at his rallies but also the supporters who watch MSM. I, for one, am concerned about what the deplorables will do on election day to try to suppress votes, as well as what they will do after Trump loses. The rhetoric is dangerous and the Republican leadership is doing or saying nothing…silence gives consent.

Just watched Rachel Maddow Show (as I have been avoiding this show and MSNBC for some time) with our First Lady Michelle Obama speech of a lifetime…..I cant seem to get enough….and every time I listen, it seems new to me.
I love FLOTUS’ speech. It brings tears to me eyes every time. We need to vote for each other to protect each other. Nothing is more important than a Blue president, a Blue Congress, and Blue Supreme Court. As women, our bodies are on the ballot.
we need to commend, thank and celebrate the young (and impressionable) people who can process the garbage that the home-grown demagogue is pushing out to corrupt their minds and yet still be to stand up publicly declare that truth is expected of rational decent human beings;
