I prefer to breathe and believe in the rule of law. President Obama believes deeply and passionately about the rule of law prevailing in the end. I will do the same and know that many, many good men and women are fighting for our nation right now. Right will win at the end of the day. I pray that too much damage is not done before these treasonous bastards are exposed.

DF, I so agree with all you are saying. I am so concerned about our future. But when I get too depressed I think of the Obama’s and all of the folks he believes in. That’s all of us. We can’t let this all happen without consequences. We must keep fighting.

Thank you DF for always being here and bringing wonderful information to us all

I was relaying the President’s words recently on the current situation we are in. People including myself need to form our thoughts around them over and over again in my opinion. One thing the President said was that our resolve and commitment are most important in the trying times like now. This is when our vision is truly tested. Can we maintain our course in the face of enormous obstacles and seeming set backs? President Obama helped me to see this time in a new way and I wanted to rise to the challenge with all my heart. If it were not for this blog and the continued diligence in following President Obama, posting his addresses and projects I would not have found those inspiring words of the President to be in my path and would not have benefited from them. I am forever grateful to NW and everyone that posts here. It is so essential to my work and attitudes. Blessings one and all.

Former US president Barack Obama made an impassioned plea on Friday for the world to embrace clean energy and overcome climate change at a gathering of experts in Argentina.

Obama told an audience of government ministers, business leaders and young environmental activists they were part of a generation with the scientific means and imagination to begin to repair the planet.

“This is no longer speculation, this is no longer an issue that we can put off, this is firmly in the present.”
“If we take advantage of this critical time, we have the chance to slow and even stop a trend that could be disastrous,” said Obama, who signed the Paris climate agreement …

“We cannot condemn our children and their children to a future they cannot repair,” said Obama.
“We are the first generation to feel the impact of climate change but we’re also the last generation that can do something about it.” …

I’m always encouraged when I see our President Obama in his continued outreach to our *future*. ‘Yes, we can!’ is a wonderful and consistent reminder that we do not need to be sheeple, no matter how bad the outlook may seem.

Yes, we can this Saturday, and this weekend, everyone!

When the kids were younger, we celebrated both; now, we celebrate one as the kids are off on American Thanksgiving and working on Canadian Thanksgiving. Once in awhile, I have them over for the Sunday of Canadian Thanksgiving for a special meal, but that’s getting harder as they get married and are off onto their own lives.

Good afternoon on this beautiful October day. Off the political subject, but just have to share my joy in this beautiful October day. In Oklahoma, October is the best month. Skies are beautiful beyond belief, the temps are 70s and 50s, wind is mild, just a breeze, not “sweeping down the plain.” Spring here is unpredictable, but October aahhhhh! Last night we had a thunderstorm, today it is clear and sparkling. I think there should be a color called Oklahoma October Sky Blud. It is so beautiful.

Days like this give us hope and courage to carry on and fight back. Love to all of you…..

        Hi, DF
I checked out the riverfront branch of the YMCA last week. A beautiful facility with a very diverse crowd, discounts for various age groups and a special Hurricane Irma waiver of sign-up fee. Will start going there to complete my long-neglected swimming lessons (thank you for the encouragement) and to work off my mocha frappaccino induced 10 pounds. Found out a neighbor goes to this branch as well, so I will have company some days. The hardest thing so far is finding a tank-style one-piece swimsuit.

I agree, 100%, with Professor Wong about the reasons why we should do away with the antiquated and undemocratic electoral vote as the basis for electing a president. Sadly, however, given the complex Constitutional framework for amending the Constitution, I don’t think that it’s possible to get rid of the electoral college system. By the way, it’s not just the electoral college system that’s insanely undemocratic. The way the United States Senate is set up is plainly undemocratic. As a Californian, I resent the fact that my state—with a population of more than 38 million people—has the same number (2) of U.S. Senators as Wyoming, with total population of slightly over a half million people.

Jonathan Pring just wanted to do the right thing.

After seeing the news of the massacre in Las Vegas, the 36-year-old Phoenix resident and native of Britain decided he no longer felt comfortable keeping two firearms in his house. On Tuesday, he called the Phoenix Police Department and voluntarily handed over his guns, documenting the moment with a series of photos on Facebook and a heartfelt message.

    GM TODville.

As we know, an entire volume of the Encyclopedia Britannica could be written on every stupid thing FUBAR says, every single day, but man oh man… the “leader of the free world,” someone 24% of the US population idolizes…

Last night my son and I went to see ā€œBlade Runner 2049ā€ is was okay. It was a visually stunning movie and the sound was stunning also. But the movie was lacking, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. Something was missing. Now the original Blade Runner was a masterpiece, the plot and the acting were first rate, it had a heart and a soul to it. Maybe I’ll go see the new Blade Runner again just to be sure I didn’t miss anything.

Between fits of worrying about war with Korea and/or Iran (which is bad enough), our federal government demonstrates with their words and actions that they do not believe that they work for the American people, that to them, democracy equates to taxpayer wallets, nothing more. THEY DO NOT EVEN ATTEMPT TO DISGUISE this.

The truest toon about FUBAR, published in August of last year:

    Also this (my evergreen tweet):

G’morning Nerdy & TOD! Wishing everyone a peaceful and pleasant Sunday.

On another note, looks like there’s a bit of tension this morning between Senator Bob Corker (R) from Tennessee and Dolt 45…Let’s see the media spin this as a “Dems in disarray” narrative. Paging Chris Cillizza for his “I blame Hillary” tweet….

Corker and the Republicans brought this on themselves with their treatment of President Obama for the last eight years. So Corker can go fuck himself on the way back to Tennessee.

{{{ ā¤ļø TOD ā¤ļø }}}. Offline today, it’s all too much for WMP/W. I need to find a place to live where I don’t spend every day feeling as if I’m dying from the environmental impact. Overwhelming. Big hugs all around. šŸ™šŸ»šŸ‘‹šŸ¼šŸ•‰šŸ•ÆšŸ—
