That is unless in that time, permanent and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society have taken place, including a reduction of CO2 emissions by at least 50%.
And please note that these calculations are depending on inventions that have not yet been invented at scale, inventions that are supposed to clear the atmosphere of astronomical amounts of carbon dioxide. Nearly every single major national scientific body around the world unreservedly supports the work and findings of the IPCC.

Thanks. I am feeling pretty broken right now. With the continued mess in our federal government and now the TN mess, I am at my wits end. I am depressed, no energy, concerned, angry, frustrated. worried, angry, upset, angry……….get the picture? The TN legislature and governor are literally acting like a banana republic. It is awful. Our postcard group got together this afternoon. We are all like I described.
The US: Go back and forth with the Dems in Congress. Sometimes think they are on the right track, then think they have no backbone and need to do fight and do what the Rs would do if reversed. I heard someone say today that two former Republicans have told a number of people that the Republicans KNOW the Dems will back down. Repeat: They KNOW the Dems will back down and not fight like they do. Will they ever learn?? Gawd, I’m so frustrated and angry and worried.

Actually watched the MSNBC “Headliners: Joe Biden” special tonight. Wasn’t sure I would because Chris Matthews was “the voice.” But it gave a very favorable reminder to people who have forgotten the good parts of Joe Biden’s life. Most significant other than the “guy with empathy” stuff was all of his foreign policy experience in the Senate, which I’d pretty much forgotten at this point! It was well done.
