I completely, totally and utterly hate asking you good people to part with your money, but I had a $6 dollar idea 
The blog is closing in on 6 million hits:
Seriously, when I started up in October 2009, I would have been more than ecstatic to have six hits, never mind six million.
So, I reckoned we could celebrate this (almost) six million awesomeness by donating $6 to The Obama Diary’s fundraiser for Obama/Biden 2012.
Please be assured, that money does not go to this blog, it goes straight in to the Obama/Biden 2012 fund at OFA where they allow supporters like us set up their own grassroots fundraising campaigns.
I started out with a $1,000 target ….. now we’re up to $8,000. Nuts!
You people are beyond brilliant.
If you can afford to donate $6 towards that target, thank you so much – if you can’t, no problem at all.

There are so many grassroots fundraising pages over there, just imagine what they’re raising when you combine the totals. It’s completely fantastic.

Hey everyone. I know most of you already donate what you can to the President’s re-election campaign, but I decided to set up an ‘Obama Diary’ fundraising page at BarackObama.com (OFA) today just so the blog can do its very, very, very small bit! The fundraising target is $1,000 (donations start at $10) – a drop in the Koch brothers-infested ocean, I know, but as we learnt in 2008, small sums add up beautifully
I know that many of you won’t be in a position to donate because you’re going really tough times financially, so don’t worry at all if you can’t, you already contribute to the re-election campaign with time, effort, heart and soul!
