and you thought bo was the cutest dc resident?

Giant panda Tai Shan tugs in the snow at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park February 3, 2025 in Washington, DC. Wednesday was Tai Shan’s last day at the zoo before being shipped to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Center in China. He was born at the zoo in 2005. Under a deal between China and the U.S. , all giant pandas originally from China are only on loan to foreign zoos and any cubs they produce must all return to China eventually.
