enthusiasm gap update: minneapolis

Thousands of people lined up early Saturday to see President Barack Obama as he campaigns for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton.

The decidedly younger crowd snaked several blocks across the University of Minnesota campus for the 2:30 p.m. event.

The president spoke to a crowd of 6,500 at the Field House for about 30 minutes.

According to FOX 9’s Jeff Goldberg, the line appeared to be nearly a mile long. The U estimates the crowd size at the beginning of the president’s address to be around 11,000 at both the Field House and sports pavilion.

Due to rain in the forecast, the President’s rally was moved indoors. It was originally to be held on the University’s Northrop Mall, but was switched inside to the University Fieldhouse

It must heartbreaking for the bought and paid for media types who have stoked the crazies for whatever reason.

But let’s not let our guard down. We must keep at it and may God continue to bless President Obama and his efforts and that of every single one of us who support and rally around our President and our nation.

I want to tell those people who are always talking about enthusiam gap, well I’m not dancing in the street or jumping on the roof top, but I still will cast my vote. As a matter of fact I have already, I took my Mother with me. I met my Aunts there, and my cousin too. I took my neighbor to vote also. My brother went to vote yesterday. I am talking to neighbors and friends, and family about getting out to vote. This is to darn important to sit this one out.

So maybe the ones who is always telling us that there is no enthusiam on the Democrat side, need to talk to people like me. My people fought and die for me to have the right to vote, and vote I will.
