Sen Feingold for years professed how negative campaigning would backfire against him because Wisconsin rejects that kind of politics. I guess we’ll see if he was remotely right given the antics used by the GOP and their acolytes in this special election run-up.

I don’t think you can attribute anything but nefarious intentions to this. ” Koch’s, it’s an evil thing”

If the Swampland info is correct and the CR ending at the end of September and FY2012 budget has been deemed and passed as part of this Debt Ceiling negotiations than I wonder if PBO chose this fight with the Debt Ceiling as the deadline rather than Oct 1st CR expiring and a budget fight because he had more leverage from outside forces in the Debt Ceiling stand-off, and a sense that the teaparty would push hard for a government shutdown this time around.

There was no revenues, but no entitlement cuts either – so the debate will continue with the 2012 Presidential Election campaign as it’s main conduit. I don’t think the Dems have a better messager that President Obama – especially up against a silver spoon robber baron like Mitt Romney.

      Agree.

The next opportunity for Radical Republican Party to extort with our economy as their hostage is the fiscal 2013 budget – if the Senate passes the House legislation, tomorrow.

This time next year, no matter how much money the Koch brothers and other anti-American corporatist pour into the Radical Republican coffers, the entire electorate will be being informed 24/7 of the fact that the only demonstrable agenda – proven time and time again – of the Radical Republican Party is the protection of the wealthiest Americans and corporate interests.

I look forward to that conversation as eagerly as I suspect President Obama, VP Biden and every Democratic candidate for any office do. If the Radical Republican Party want to highlight, even more, their total contempt for our Republic and the vast majority of Americans, they can try to hold the 2013 Budget hostage. I urge them to go for it.

      Yes.We.Can. … DO.More.Together!

To all those who are unhappy that the compromise does not include any revenues: THIS IS OUR CALL TO ACTION. Forget about the RW and the PL going off the deep end about the winners and losers and their constant attacks on the President. We have work to do. The debate has just begun. Get the facts straight, help the President build consensus around his plan for a truly balanced approach to dealing with our country’s debt and deficit problem. A good start is to recognize that there IS a problem. Just repeating ad nauseum that we do not support any more hits on lower income groups and the middle class is not enough. Just expressing our anger and distress at an agenda so glaringly favoring the wealthy over the vast majority of our citizens is not enough. We need to be involved in bringing about the balance that we all seek.
We cannot count on the media to educate the public; we need to be the voice that calls for honesty, clarity and action. We also need to remind everyone that elections have consequences, that sitting out an election is tantamount to yielding control to extremists. So let’s all take some time to cool off and then begin the work that needs to be done.

The PL and the PL media bashed Obama and told people not to vote but to sat it out to teach Obama a lesson. Now they yelling for Obama to help them.
Obama should tell them the same thing Biden told them. Biden said ” We deserve what we get”

Or, maybe they could quote Boehner when the CBO told him and the other republicans that Ryan’s bill would destroy up to 1 million jobs, “Oh, well.” Their own immaturity and pettiness are what put them in the place where they are now, and it’s time for them to put on their big girl/boy britches and eat their peas. I stopped listening to them a long time ago, dun. I pray to God to help PBO. It has worked every time, and for this I am grateful.
