80 Reasons Why It’s Time To Take These Republican/Tea Party ‘Sons Of Bitches’ Down
Amen. Bunch of low down snakes in the grass. It’s no wonder they use a snake for their flag.
Excellent! Love the sign, have to pass this one on.
Oh dear, bless me thy Perry’s God. Good morning TODers.
If I were a progressive religious leader, which I am not, I would do everything in my power to get religion out of politics. Right wing Christianity is greatly damaging the entire Christian “brand”.
In the past year you have taken away my favorite actor(Patrick Swayze), my favorite actress (Farah Fawcett), and my favorite musician (Michael
Just wanted to let you know my favorite TV host is Glen Beck. My favorite radio personality is Rush Limbaugh.

overseasgranny, that is funny.
Don’t forget Jake Tapper, Chuck Todd, Mark Halperin, Ed Henry, Mark Knoller, Nora O’Donnell, CNN, I guess I could go on and on and on with these media jacks.

Even Texans don’t like him! http://www.wfaa.com/news/texas-news/122505969.html We should PAY ATTENTION! Please check the links I posted on the “Troy” thread….important stuff…thanks family.
Btw: is this just a guess about what the president will do on the jobs speech?
I mean, 300 billion and less than 50 of that in construction seems a little short.
Why give the press what they wanted?
Does he not have any street smarts?
This figure does not seem right!
Until it comes out of HIS mouth, it is all here say:) The rule of thumb.
Jovie, have you heard the president’s speech, or are you simply going by media “reports” from leaked annonymous sources deliberately spun out of context to manipulate certain folks’ emotions?
Well, they printed it as WH sources. Again, I framed my response as a question?
Jovie, I’m with you. But you’ll be attacked for being some PL/Firebagger since ,apparently, people here don’t have any idea how these leaked items work. It’s some big conspiracy. There is absolutely nothing “new” in this proposal. It’s basically a retread of what we already have and he wants to extend them for a year. Why would you need a Joint Session of Congress for that? If you’re going to propose a plan that works economically and has a chance of passing at least start with a larger number. You’re not going to get 300 billion if you start with 300 billion.
I think we would all be best served if we wait until we hear what the president has to say.
I stand by the President 100% and I believe he knows what he is doing. He was smart when he ran and I don’t think some how he because dumb after becoming President. He knows a whole lot more then us street smart people. if he don’t do shit until 2012 and even if he loose in 2012 I Thanks God he was there when we was falling in to Hell and he stop the fall now it up to the american people to help us reach heaven. It is not up to the President, he shouldn’t have to give a big speech to make us know that he is the right man for the Jobs. All this talk about he should do this he should do that is just crazy insane talk. either we are for american come back or we are not. We will see in 2012 just who we are for. The Man don’t have to keep giving speeches to keep up involve. We should know that already.
Just Vote people that the only thing that will help him change the way this country is going. Give him what he need or let him and his family go and be happy. No matter what happen He Will Be OK but will we. So he is fighting for us not him, Let’s get behind him and fight for what we need and stop acting like children who want him to be almighty, he just a man who need our votes to move this country forward and if he get it we will move forward if not we will go back while he and his family go
forward. The End
Dun, I second EVERY SINGLE WORD, and it’s not often I say that! Every single word, THANK YOU! I’ll just move along now.
I suggest you run for President and show us how you would a much better job than President Obama. By the way, I suppose you won’t waste your time listening to the President’s address since you already know what he is going to propose and have concluded that “there is nothing new ” in his proposal. For the rest of us who would rather wait to hear from the president directly, rather than relying on unnamed WH sources, I wish you would kindly leave us alone instead of trying to pretend that you know more than we do just because you read an article in a paper or you listened to some t.v. pundit.
How could you even ask the “question” does he have any street smarts?” You should know that answer — unequivocally YES.
Oh my goodness not this again. It’s too darn early. I’m with you hopefruit. No one has heard from the President. He hasn’t given his speech and all this hearsay and leaks from “sources” are pure bullpockey. I will not participate in handwringing, I will not participate in mindless panicking. I will not dictate to President Obama what he should or shouldn’t say in his speech. I will not dictate to President Obama what he should or shouldn’t do in his jobs plan because he’s an adult not some child that one constantly scolds or berates. I will instead park my behind in front of C-SPAN and hear the speech from THE FREAKING HORSES MOUTH!
I was just asking a question. i thought I was the one with PTSD! Lol!
No, you were dictating to the President based on hearsay and saying he doesn’t have any street smarts.
Me thinks, his belief in that everyone in DC should come together, is being used against him.
Again, it was a question!
We also have to bear in mind that the President does not propose anything he cannot pay for.
I heard he is also giving congress a detailed deficit reduction plan for the debt panel!
In it is help for the post office and a long term plan for that body.
The post office is a mess, at some point, I worry the president will be to blame. But it was mis management from union bosses, for years, that led to the post office problems!
Yes, they are working on a viable solution for the Post Office. He will get out in front on this because the last thing people need especially out in rural areas need is to hear that there will be no Post Office, mandated by Article 2 of the Constitution. They may need to change to a business model, I don’t know, but I have faith PBO will propose something innovative and effective over the long term.
I may be the only one—–but I love the post office. I say that all the time and people look at me like they kinda feel sorry for me, because it goes against the grain. I always use them instead of UPS etc. because, for me at least, they have always been more dependable. I can mail something to my daughter in Chgo., or a bday gift to a relative in Wi. at 4:00 in the afternoon and they have it the next day. Presto/Chageo! Magic! Never have had any problem with anything.
I completely agree, and I love the people who have been working in my local PO for over 15 years.
The post office got a bad rap under President Clinton too (Democrat) and there were calls to shut it down. They really changed their business model and improved. They are much better than UPS or Fedex in my opinion. People like me still mail their bills. I only pay my credit union cc and mortgage payments on line. I was paying my phone bill online until one day I forgot my log on and could not get it and it was hell getting it to reset. All my other bills I pay in person or by mail. I hear that the Post Office’s pensions are fully funded and they are required to “over” fund their pensions by congress. They say this is why they are going broke. They are asking for a better formula to fund pensions and relocate offices from single locations to places like grocery stores etc. I like the fact I can mail a letter for .44 cents and it gets there the next day.
True – I still loving getting real mail. And I put a hold on my mail for two weeks (for free!), and it was all delivered to me the day I got back, for free. Lovely!
I wonder if they can use TARP funds for that?
Sen Kerry and Sen Hutchison co-sponsored an infrastructure bank bill that would have only had $10B in initial cost with the projection that it would leverage $600B in infrastructure investments over time. The key here is loans which means it adds no new spending and that the federal government does no more than 50% of the loan. What this means is states/private investors would have to match the other 50%.
Not every state is ran by a Koch-roach, Dem states who are not trying to tank the economy but can’t get any loans to build their big projects could really use this to get shovels in the ground. This infrastructure bank would be an end-around to the big banks who are unwilling to loosen credit.
I know Michigan is trying to build a new bridge connecting Detroit Michigan to Windsor Canada but it’s being held up in the State Senate. Canada has even said they’d loan the US $500M because the State Senate was saying they didn’t have the money now. Then the State Senate balked at taking the loan from Canada because of the interest payment going to Canada. GOP Gov Rick Snyder is in support of the new public bridge (GOP State Senate want to allow the current owner to privately fund the twinning of his current span), and has said if MI Congress doesn’t pass it in October when they’re back in session than he’ll go around them to do it. Considering Canada is already building a near billion dollar new road way that will lead up to the new crossing, I think it;s safe to say they have assurances from Washington, if not Michigan, that this span will be built. So the hold-up is just keeping upwards of 20,000 unemployed for the politics of it, to drag it out to keep the UER high.
I have to agree with something John Nichols said last night: I hope this speech is NOT directed to the Republicans in Congress but goes straight to the people.
WHAT JOVIE…DOES HE HAVE ANY STREET SMARTS???? ARE YOU REFERRING TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES????
FED eyes new plan to boost growth:
Feds need to stop talking and start doing.
Debt panel rakes in lobbyists cash! Hmmm!
that is a great sign
The more the public will know about Rick Perry, the more his fortunes will sink. He has huge baggage of corruption and scandal. And he made the serious mistake of actually writing down the idiocy that his brain produces in a book. Americans like their Soc. Sec., Medicare, and Medicaid very much, thank you, and Rick Perry’s written down how he wants to abolish it all.
Well, the republican base- the DC media, is covering for him! Scary!
Of course they want a primary horse race just as they want a general horse race.
Perry has a major problem right now in Texas with the wildfires and the fact he cut $34M from the Texas Forest Service and rural fire departments.
Not my impression at all. They’re in Perry takedown mode right now. He was “fun” till he zoomed up in the polls and looked like he actually might win the nomination which they know would be a disaster. Tom Brokaw was brought on the Today Show today for just that task—–went down the list of Perry’s wild and crazies—-on soc. sec., Medicare, secession etc. They’re all working for Romney now.
Also I saw on twitter early this morning heads up from ABC George S that Karl Rove stated that Perry’s Medicare plan is toxic. He said stay tuned for more, but I had to take my kid to school and go walk.
And Romney is a fool. They kept playing the footage from his frantic speech yesterday, with his awkward example of the “payphone”, and calling the President’s ideas old time – never once mentioning that Romney’s plan is named after, and fashioned after, a man who’s been dead for several years already, and who hasn’t been in office for decades! So, President Obama wants to take the country into the future, and that’s “old fashioned policies”, but Romney wants to revive the late Ronald Reagan and all the provably failed GOP policies of tax cuts and deregulation, and somehow, that’s new?
Joe Biden gives a speech today for a short film/documentary called rebirth! The history of 9/11!
Well, well….Here’s a tasty little morsel just in time for the debate tonight.
Karl Rove: Rick Perry’s Extreme Views On Social Security Are ‘Toxic’
I think Desert already posted this on last thread, but just read and retweeted this story of Paul Ryan’s PPV Town Hall. Like the Koch brothers, tactics designed to take away our civil liberties. But an informed citizenry is a good thing. keep the good fight going peeps.
Ok….. really now…. quiety sneaking back to work…….
Great minds . . .
Five Kicked Out and Three Arrested at Paul Ryan Townhall for Asking Questions
These people paid $15 to attend Paul Ryan’s Townhall.
My goodness. The nerve of this man. He’s supposed to be a public servant. The people have the right to petition their government and speak to their representatives at townhalls. Not only did he insult them by asking them to pay $15 before they could ask a question at the townhall but he to add insult to injury, he had them thrown out and arrested for asking questions about jobs and why he supports the Bush tax cuts that only benefit the uber wealthy. I’m going to tweet this to those ass-hats in the media who don’t cover pertinent news like this and I’m tweeting this to @RepPaulRyan because he’s a disgusting piece of slime.
I just posted the video below.
DNC prebuttla to the republican debate:
Hahahahaha. That is one funny but 100% true sign. 😆
I don’t know if anyone posted this yet, but at Paul Ryan’s ” pay per view” town hall he had 40 security guards and had questioners thrown out. I think I counted 5-6..
Thanks, I just tweeted this. “Federal guy” Ryan is an idiot who is making a big mistake. I wish he would get voted out since the right-wing think he should be POTUS. UGH.
Absolutely frightening. Reminiscent of another time and place. Forcefully removing American citizens who had every right to be there and ask their questions. Unbelievable. And disgusting that others there applauded when their fellow citzens were removed. And disgusting that Ryan said to pray for those who were removed. Un-be-lievable. As I’ve said, this next presidential election is for all the marbles.
‘…disgusting that Ryan said to pray for those who were removed…’
This, along with his comment re medication for one of the persons being removed, was what I found most telling! He obviously has very little respect and/or compassion for his constituents, ridiculing them so openly. That the voters who are laughing are complicit in his mockery and cannot see his disdain for their fellow citizens, or his immaturity and poor judgement tells me a lot. Poor misguided souls do not realize that he would make fun of them with the same disrespect were they to disagree with him.
That sign is great!
I am still wondering if Perry will find it necessary to “take care of the people in his state” and bypass the debate tonight…..
Perry is waiting for Fort Hood soldiers to fight these fires, as he cut funds 75% and there are very few professional firefighters available. Once more….GO TO THE FEDS!!!!
Why yes, he did! http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/david/texas-cut-fire-department-funding-75-percent
And if you read this story…please note the blatant hypocrisy with regards to FEMA coming in to help his state! You know, the same FEMA he otherwise finds useless unless its needed to SAVE HIS ASS! Yeah, THAT FEMA!
Jim Hightower totally eviscerated Rick Perry on The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell last night. He was a former campaign opponent of Rick Perry. He also goes into the issue of the fires in Texas. He says it’s not what kind of debater Perry will be, it’s what kind of governor has he been. If Rick Perry does for America what he has done for Texas, we are in big trouble.
Hightower was brilliant last night.

Morning all. Late start again. Counting sheep doesn’t work.
Have you tried counting GOP presidential candidates?
Won’t work. That would send me to the ER.
