Will catch up in a while.
Morning everyone 😉
Former UN Ambassador Bolton Endorses Romney from TPM
That’s good for the leaning Democratic “Independents”.
Bolton was a recess appointment. Will Willard mention that?
Heeeeeeeeey, Bill. There you go, citing those pesky facts, again.
I still can’t get over this video of John Bolton going criticizing the United Nations. It’s just unbelievable.
John Bolton on United Nations
Early and often as Grandpa used to say!!!!
I plan to continue to send in what I can, and I want to do something to raise money for the campaign. I’m trying to think of something in which I can get my neighbors, family, and any one who support President Obama involved. I have to put my brain to work.
GOP Muffs Up Hispanic Outreach Effort Pretty Much Immediately

My yahoo page greeted me with this
Im sure the Pres is aware of what is going to happen but I hurt for this country. The ugliness we will have to go through.
Oh look, Dick Halperin is trying to sell some magazines!
That man has nothing I want to buy.
I saw Halperin and did an abrupt about face. That dweeb is a dud!
I read that silly article. From reading it, you would think the Obama Campaign hasn’t been doing any oppo research on the Mittens. I guess we are all supposed to be afraid of the great romney machine, what a joke.
Debz, let them think that. Let that arrogant big head of Mitt keep getting bigger. Mitt will learn that he isn’t messing with some dummy.
LOL “arrogant big head” 😀 I believe his arrogance will be his downfall. Just his comments about how us peons envy him for his wealth, and he doesn’t even realize what is wrong with that. He sure wont realize that the Dems will take him down.
Killer instinct? The man has been running for President for 5 years, has barely won a caucus, gotten less votes than normal in New Hampshire and has committed major gaffes 10 months before the general. Is that what Halperin is referring to? That guy has got some serious ODS issues.
derbingle, you have to ask the question who is Halperin and the gang trying to convince, themselves .
Right there anniebella.
Remember, he did this to McCain too. Why does this man have a JOB!?
Catch up….VP Biden will speak today at the high school I graduated from 🙂 My sister is going! Will let you all know what happens when I call her tonight 🙂
My husband did NOT get the job that we so desperately needed him to get….we press on. More prayers and good thoughts please:)
Desrtflower, so sorry to hear about the results of hubby’s job search. PRESS ON. All good thoughts going up. Where is Joey B today? I know he’s in Philadelphia tomorrow (Friday)
Gahanna, Ohio! That’s where he is today….:) Outside Columbus…home of Ohio State! (my other school!)
Thank you for your good thoughts for my husband. That was kind of devastating to me…loved him. Great credentials…but not enough local contacts for the job.Sucks.
So sorry to hear this didn’t work out. Find the good in the outcome and keep pressing on! I will continue to keep you and your husband in my prayers until they are answered. Stay strong.
Hang in there, our thought will be with you.
You will be in my prayers.
Thank you,PFWHI 🙂
desertflower, as long as you have faith, you have hope. Keep the faith and hope and I will keep you and your husband in my prayers.
🙂 Thank you, anniebella.
df, this just means there’s something better out there for him. We will continue to keep your family in our thoughts until he finds the best and brightest spot.
Yes, this isn’t the job for him. It’s there, df. Keep the faith.
good morning desertflower
I had hoped for you and your family yesterday . When one door closes another one opens. Somehow I believe there is a better position meant for your husband. The begging of a journey starts with the first step.
Have a nice day:)
Desertflower, So sorry to hear of the job situation in your house. I and no doubt many TOD family members are pulling for you and sending good vies your way! Keep the faith!
I’m soooo sorry that your husband did not get the job. I hate to use the cliche, but I have found it to be very true, that when a door closes another one opens. So I hope that your husband gets the perfect job for him soon. I will continue to pray.
Df, a job is out there fir him, candle and prayer work continues. Keep you the heart
I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m still crossing my fingers in the hopes that something else comes along. ((HUGS))
To all the TOD family…thank you for your well wished and kind thoughts. We’ll keep pressing on…I really hope that window or door would open sooner rather than later! Hugs to all….and keep on saying those prayers:)
(((((((desertflower & family)))))))
Sending you good vibrations and support as you press on. ♥ ♥ ♥
So sorry and hope that another opportunity shows itself soon. Times are tough.
I am sorry about your husband ..DF…but that may mean that The Creator has something greater planned for him…
may you and your family be blessed very soon….
Sorry to hear that df. Hope things get better.
DesertFlower I’m so sorry to hear that your husband didn’t get the job…my prayers that a really wonderful job that will be even better come his way!!!
Prayers that you and your husband stay strong and hopeful!!!
Oh desertflower, really sorry to hear that news, wishing your husband ALL the best in his job search, showering you both with good thoughts.
Good Morning everyone. How are all of my little “Chipadees” doing this morning?
I have to say the juxtaposition of our brilliant and elegant President Obama (aka The Only Adult In The Room) speaking at the INSOURCING JOBS FORUM yesterday against the Republican Party (aka The Children) fighting like cats and dogs was immensely satisfying. The contrast could not have been more stark.
He tends to do that:)

THANK YOU…I HAPPILY RETWEETED!!!!!!! THE CORPORATE GREED MACHINE NEEDS TO BE STOPPED! PBO IS GOING TO TURN OVER EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THOSE ROCKS! 4 MORE FOR 44!
The right wing would not find anything wrong with that. Avoiding paying taxes by putting money offshore will make him a hero to them.
But with Dems and many Independents, this may not play well and will make Myth look as moderate as he’s trying to pretend to be.
Oh, I don’t know. With noot badgering willard, even the right might ideas.

Seems to me that Willard Mitt Romney is the prime number one example of the leader of the corporate greed machine. They loot companies, strip out the profit, fire people, use whatever loopholes they can find to manipulate the market including make the taxpayer foot the bill whenever possible and create wealth for the investors including shipping the parts and jobs overseas. They also hide their money out of the country to avoid being a patriot and paying their American taxes.

The new Gilded Age gets noticed
By Steve Benen
We’re apparently not supposed to talk about this outside of “quiet rooms,” but more and more Americans are taking note of the tensions between the haves and the have nots.
About two-thirds of the public now believes there are strong conflicts between the rich and poor in America, making class a likelier source of tension than traditional flash points of race or nationality, a study from the Pew Research Center found.
The nonprofit think tank in Washington released a study Wednesday that reported a growing number of Americans say there are “very strong” or “strong” conflicts between the rich and poor — a number that has risen by 9 percent since July 2009.
“It is kind of amazing,” said Richard Morin, a senior editor at Pew who authored the study. “This is people not only sensing conflict, but people sensing an intensity of these conflicts — that’s what makes it striking and politically important.”

It’s like deja vu all over again
By Steve Benen
Dave Weigel made a very clever observation yesterday, noting the striking similarities between the 2008 and 2012 races for the Republican nomination.
I’m thinking of a Republican primary. It starts with a candidate (John McCain/Mitt Romney) who ran once before, came in second place, and won over the party’s elite class without winning over its base. Other candidates, understandably unwilling to accept this, line up: An under-funded social conservative (Mike Huckabee/Rick Santorum), an elder statesman who’s walked to the altar three times (Rudy Giuliani/Newt Gingrich), a libertarian who wants to bring back the gold standard (Ron Paul/Ron Paul).
The conservative base is displeased. In the year before the primary, it pines for a perfect candidate. At the end of summer, on (September 5/August 13), it gets him: (Fred Thompson/Rick Perry). The dream candidate immediately rises to the top of national polls, but collapses after lazy, distaff debate performances. When the primaries arrive, he’s in single digits and reduced to attacking the front-runners.
This is great. I was going to post a link to Rachel Maddow’s opening segment. I am so glad Steve Benen has a post on this. It was a brilliant analysis (with props) showing the total dysfunction of the GOP. It’s a must see. A very informative and cleaver presentation.
the most striking part of Rachel’s presentation to me was that despite TP….the substance of the Republican Presidential players have not changed…only the faces…
this leads me to believe that the ~movers and shakers~ behind the TP/Establishment folks are ONE AND THE SAME…
BOUGHT AND FINANCED BY THE SAME MONEY…

Happy B-Day – thanks for sharing it with your online family.
I was listening to Randi Rhodes yesterday and she was talking about unemployment numbers. She mentioned that the total number of jobs lost between 2007 and 2009 were 8.7 million with 4.4 million lost under Bush and 4.3 million technically lost under President Obama . So far, President Obama has created nearly 3 million jobs which means he has recovered 2/3 of the jobs lost since he has been in office. He is on track to recover all the jobs lost (under his term) and maybe some of the jobs lost under bushes term. That’s why the Republicans are scared. . she provided the CNN Money link with some job numbers on her site.
With in 3 yrs are good. some lost by bain and Romney to get rich.
Thank you for the link. I heard her say that as I was on my way back to work yesterday…and the fact that R’s try and blame him for ALL those job loses….what he has done is nothing short of monumental. Bush created 1 million jobs in 8 years…and this man has already added more in 3 years, AND took us up from negative job lose numbers! Extraordinary. This needs to be heard by everyone!
I try to listen to Randi as often as I can. She has been on a tear lately. That segment yesterday was very powerful and informative. She made another great point earlier in the week about Bain. She essentially said that what Bain was doing to companies the Bush administration was doing to the country. Namely, they were replacing wealth with debt. It makes all of the sense in the world when you consider the wreckage left by the Bush administration.
Great point (replacing wealth with debt) People need to start connecting those dots.
So here’s a GREAT stat:
In our 4Q fundraising totals, 200k of the 583k donors were new.
I would argue that Romney’s tax returns (or lack their of) will be the NEXT big issue that will come up after Bain stuff stops being talked about until the Democrats hit Romney on it in the Fall. Even Sarah Palin said on the Hannity show last night that Romney needs to release his tax returns.
The fact that Romney put his money in tax shelters in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda may be the October surprise that the Democrats have if Romney doesn’t come clean now.
As the Tax season starts coming the drum beat on Romney to release his tax returns will get HOTTER AND HOTTER.
You’re right but for one thing…and that is…THE BAIN THING WILL NEVER GO AWAY before now and Nov. That horse is out of the barn and running with wild abandon!
Me thinks, Sarah will endorse Newt soon.
I think she wants to do so, but hates endorsing someone who is not in her mind a certain winner.
Even if he personally didn’t use the tax shelter, the fact Bain set up in the Caymans should be much, much bigger news and actually should sink him.
It’s not big news because the Kantorbury tale of tensions in the WH is a much, much, much, bigger story as far as the media is concerned.
I see what you did there.
I think Mormons give 10% of their income to the church which he may have. However, with his great wealth I wonder if he gives money to charities other than his church. He should be giving money tp the ASPCA in honor of Seamus.

First lady Michelle Obama urged Central Virginia Democrats to help re-elect President Barack Obama at a private fundraiser Wednesday evening just outside Charlottesville, Va.
The event was hosted at the $4.5 million estate of Dave Matthews Band drummer Carter Beauford and his wife, Karen, located off a rural stretch of Lonesome Mountain Road in Albemarle County.
Beauford was with the band at a concert in Seattle, and was not in attendance at the fundraiser, where campaign officials expected around 130 guests.
During a 25-minute speech that began a little after 5:30 p.m., the first lady highlighted her husband’s achievements on health care, education, the economy and foreign policy.

BMW to add 300 jobs at Spartanburg, SC plant!
I knew that $1B number was going to bite us in the butt. And I suspect it was floated by GOP and their MSM minions. And it’s understandable why if I have $50 in my pocket and am thinking of donating it, but figure “Hey I can take the wife out for dinner with this or donate it to Obama, but he’s going to have a billion dollar campaign anyways…”
Romney raised $25M, Pres Obama raised $42M – Romney is closing the gap and it’s important that Obama supporters realize this and realize that SuperPAC’s will drastically change the landscape from 2008. In 2007 and 2008 candidate Obama could hold rallies and raise money daily, now he has a day job and can’t campaign full time and it looks like the money is harder to come by – harder to fire people up while Romney can be out daily raising money.
I’d also be interested in the campaign’s COH as they need to be burning through it with all the ground game they already have.
No one on the Obama Team said $ 1 billion. That was the Repugs and I distinctly remember Axe saying that he never said $1billion. All he said was that they would likely need to make more than the $750 million that they made in 2008. The Repugs and the pun-dunces are the ones responsible for pushing that figure. Fuckers.
John King put that number out there in an interview with Axelrod.
I thought I heard it was John King from CNN who first mentioned the number probably in an interview with someone from the campaign who suggested in response to his question that they might need to raise more than what was raised in 2008.
It actually started with Jon King asking David Axelrod that question.
Ax did not confirm or deny.
When the campaign starts in may or June, we will be releasing monthly totals!
That is all!
The $24 million is counted in with the $42 M and so its $68 M. I read that there is over $200 million on hand. Even if you only counted the $42 million, Romney has been on the road daily and Pres.Obama (who has to govern) raised almost twice as much.
I don’t count in the DNC money because I believe Romney doesn’t raise or count RNC money. As of Q3 the campaign has $60M COH, I think the total raised, including the DNC money only reached over $200M with today’s announcement.
Romney doesn’t count RNC mmoney cuz he is not yet the official nominee.
saintroscoe, it sounds like you are providing the most negative spin to a positive fundraising result. First of all, PBO is receiving MORE new donors than ever – so the idea that people are not donating because they think he has $1B dollars is not true. Secondly, both PBO and John McCain at the same time in their respective presidential runs in 2008 raised MORE money for their individual campaigns than Romney is doing now. Romney has been campaigning and fundraising FULL TIME, PBO has been governing the country and spending time with his family on vacation, and doing some fundraising on the side. Yet he continues to meet or exceed his fundraising goals for a given quarter.
Have you seen just how much of Romney’s $25M came from individual small donors? I bet when you break it down, you will find that Romney’s fundraising comes in mostly large contributions of over $2000 per individual.
I think Messina was sounding alarm bells as well. He specifically mentioned the $1B number so it’s an issue with the campaign fundraising.
saint roscoe…I love and look forward to your analytical nature when offering up information, but do try to be a bit more cautious with the ‘how’ of dissemination,as it actually tends to sound negative and makes for anxiety, which we all tend to put aside when entering this site. Cheers.
“Even as he soars past his GOP rivals, Romney’s war chest is still far smaller than Obama’s. The president, who could become the first candidate to surpass $1 billion in fundraising, already raised more than $150 million through the Democratic National Committee through September. The total could exceed $200 million when they release a year-end report at the end of this month.
On its face, Obama’s current financial edge makes it doubtful Romney can ever be able to catch up.”
These are excellent numbers. We sure are very good in raining over our own parade….:)
romney is closing the gap ? You’re joking right ?
I think it will be a while before Romney can be characterized as closing the gap.
“If Romney’s fourth quarter fundraising looks impressive when compared to some of the best funded campaign in recent memory, his total take for the year fares less well.
Only McCain in 2007 ($40 million) raised less than Romney ($56 million) in 2011. In 1999, Bush raked in $69 million while Clinton ($118 million) and Obama ($103.5 million) both crested the $100 million mark in the off year of 2007.”
The DNC and the President have raised $220 million in 2011. At current fundraising levels they are poised to exceed Romney’s quarter of a billion dollar personal net worth by next quarter. Mind you, because 98% of the President’s donors are small donors they are not near their spending caps like the bulk of Romney’s donors, so they can keep contributing long after Romney’s donors must quit.
because 98% of the President’s donors are small donors they are not near their spending caps like the bulk of Romney’s donors, so they can keep contributing long after Romney’s donors must quit.

Consumer Protection Agency Gets Started on Shadow Lenders. Step One: Mortgage Originators
The biggest reason the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau needed a director – that was being blocked by Senate Republicans as a way to weaken consumer protection – was that without a director, it could not start to regulate non-bank actors in our financial sector. But the President decided that Americans can no longer wait for the whim of the minority, and appointed Richard Cordray through the use of his Constitutional recess appointment powers as the Director.
With a director now in place, America’s first ever agency to solely have as its purpose the protection of consumers sprung into action. Their first non-bank target: the mortgage industry. Today, they released an examination procedure to subject non-bank entities associated with a mortgage process – brokers, non-bank lenders (ahem Countrywide before being bought by BofA ahem) and servicers – to the same level of scrutiny the agency has already been providing for bank lenders, ending the area of the mortgage market where the sun don’t shine.
Until now, a significant part of the mortgage market — which includes independent lenders, brokers, servicers, and others unaffiliated with banks and depository institutions — has not been subject to federal supervision. This “nonbank” mortgage sector included many of the largest subprime lenders during the housing bubble. The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act significantly reformed the gaps in federal supervision of the mortgage market by providing the CFPB with authority to supervise a range of mortgage participants.
These product-specific procedures are an extension of the CFPB’s general Supervisory and Examination Manual. The Mortgage Origination Examination Procedures outline the CFPB’s supervisory approach to ensure mortgage originators — lenders and brokers — comply with federal consumer financial laws.
This is the other place these thieves replaced wealth with debt: sub-prime mortgages.

Seems like Kantor’s book did more to help the First Lady than Kantor anticipated. FLOTUS is soaring past 30K on Twitter after just a few hours of joining, while Kantor is languishing at less than 9K followers after being on Twitter for a much longer period.
Another important clue about Kantor’s motivations (I suspect strongly that she is a die-hard PUMA). The first image on her Twitter page:
The second image:
NONE of her Twitter images have anything to do with our Current President and/or First Lady – yet she claims she has an “intense” relationship with them? Kantor, stick with your Kantorbury tales – you aren’t fooling anyone.
I’m SO thrilled to hear about the donation numbers, particularly since there was some concern about why President Obama did not release them earlier.
I think the campaign is very deliberate and careful in everything they do and I knew we had nothing to worry about.
Let’s do everything we can to keep the numbers up. We will need every single last cent.
Oh and I’m sure Roehmer will be on BFF/MSNBC today complaining about how much money Obama and the Dems raised. 🙄

OCEAN RELEASE COMING — The White House will release a draft implementation plan for its National Ocean Policy on Thursday, ME has learned. The policy, which Republicans counter could create more bureaucracy and impose new regulations, was first ordered by President Obama in an attempt to organize offshore efforts, including some 140 laws governing ocean activities like oil and gas exploration, renewable energy projects and conservation efforts. The implementation plan, open for public comment through Feb. 27, will outline specific actions for regional planning bodies and federal agencies like the EPA, the Interior Department and NOAA to coordinate planning efforts.

New Hampshire Officials Call For O’Keefe’s Assistants To Be ‘Arrested And Prosecuted’ | After James O’Keefe’s latest video, released yesterday, featured individuals committing voter fraud during Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, two prominent Granite State officials are calling for their arrest and prosecution. Ted Gatsas, the Republican Mayor of Manchester, told the New Hampshire Union Leader, “They should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” Similarly, Nashua City Clerk Paul Bergeron told ThinkProgress by phone that what these individuals did “is a crime, regardless of what the intent might be. What they did was wrong.” Bergeron said he hopes the case gets prosecuted because it “appears to be a violation of the state’s wiretapping code for one thing, which is a Class B felony in New Hampshire, in addition to a possible violation election fraud.”
Like was mentioned by somebody yesterday – it would be like robbing a bank with a rubber gun and then saying “we really didn’t plan on robbing the bank, just getting footage for a sting video”. They want to prove voter fraud, well let’s show them what happens when there is real cases of voter fraud – the ones they perpetrated. How long before the “they’re just silly kids up to fratboy hijinks” excuse is floated again?
GM may stop production of the Volt, as it is just not selling.
Note to GM, it’s too damn expensive!
I mean, you can buy a Leaf for 26k, the Fusion for 25k and the Volt costs 41k.
Btw- the Leaf just started going on sale in the US- it has a backlog of 40k vehicles, already ordered!
Why is the Volt so expensive? Is it the type of battery?
Yes! It is more Sporty, as well!
Hopefruit2 you were right the DNC debunked it.

It’s not our media, it was pushed by the right, possibly the rnc.

It is our media because it’s their job to verify the truthfulness of any tip or story before they go to print.
That’s alright Donna…it’s just that I’ve have had soooo many experiences with the media putting out stuff about PBO and 95% of the time turns out to be nasty false rumor. When FLOTUS overtakes Romney in the Twitter followers count, we should flood the pundits on Twitter. That should totally be a story!
The problem with the latest deadlocked Quinnipiac University poll of the Florida Senate race, per Bill Nelson’s team: It oversampled Republicans.
Nelson pollster Dave Beattie emails:
“They model that 32% of the turnout will be Republican, 29% Democrat and 32% Independent in the 2012 election, this is NOTHING like what the reality will be. There will be a net 2 percentage point or more Democratic registration advantage on election day. The sample of the poll appears three to four points more Republican than the 2012 electorate will be, meaning the votes do not reflect the potential outcome in the Florida.”

Every day I’m more impressed and in love with Michelle — and thankful that I had the persistence to keep asking her out until she said yes.
I also know that I’m not the only Michelle Obama fan out there.
Will you join me in wishing Michelle a happy birthday?
Please give him a kiss and a cake from us, buddy.

Wow. Looks like you and the president have an “intense” relationship. Jodie KanLIE will be jealous.

But but but Senator Grassley says…
Following the Washington, D.C., premiere of her new film, In the Land of Blood and Honey, Angelina Jolie joined partner Brad Pitt for a celebratory dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak.
The couple – joined by 12 others, including President Obama’s senior advisor Valerie Jarrett – opted for Palmer’s $35.12 prix fixe Restaurant Week menu, and started with chopped salads of romaine, endive, goat cheese, bacon, cranberry and red wine vinegar. For entrées, Pitt chose the coulotte steak with sweet potato purée and braised greens, while Jolie savored the roasted chicken breast with buttered new potatoes and marjoram jus. Pitt, who was recently injured during a fall, indulged in the dark chocolate pavé with milk chocolate ice cream for dessert, while Jolie passed on the sweets.
Do people really care what other people eat ?
I think the one person I don’t understand is Valerie Jarrett. I know she is close to the Obamas, and I’m sure she is there with their best interest in mind. But I never understood exactly what she does and how she can work in the administration. It’s not like she’s a policy expert or knows how to work it with legislators etc.
I agree with you. She’s not an effective spokeseperson in the media either. I think she’s just the president’s eyes and ears, frankly.
I sincerely believe that Mitt Romney does not want his tax returns released because they will show that he does not pay taxes on “earned income” as most working Americans pay which is around 39%. His taxes are based on “capital gains” which is about a 15% to 18% tax obligation.
Since Mr. Romney has touted his exemplar business and economic acumen, I am certain that he has an outstanding accountant (one that he will not hesitate to “fire” if his/her service is unacceptable) who finds and takes advantage of every loophole in the tax code to reduce Mr. Romney’s tax obligation. In my opinion, it is very likely that Mitt Romney’s tax obligation over the years is less than the 15% to 18%; very possibly, he pays zero taxes AND I suspect that he is one of those in the one percent category who pays no taxes and yet, gets a refund!
Revelation of Mitt Romney’s tax returns will undermine the message of “I understand your pain” that he and his team is trying to convey. The tax returns will show in black and white the unfairness of the tax code between the 1% and the 99%. A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS! Couple this with the tax shelters in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands…Mitt Romney is screwed!
The View ladies, in their infinite wisdom, just spent their whole first segment defending poor little Willard from the big bad attack ad from the DNC—-for taking “I like firing people” out of context. Never a mention that the Repubs did the same to Obama. Only Joy had the sense to say it probably doesn’t sound so great even if it was taken out of context. But the whole conversation was pitifully lacking in knowledge and awareness of details and facts. Please, could some TOD lady apply for that job so they could have someone on there who knew what they were talking about?
Good morning TOD!~
Arizona Wants to Buy Back State Capitol It Inexplicably Sold
By Tim Murphy
State governments have taken a number of different steps to balance their books in recent years. Texas Gov. Rick Perry (remember him?) proposed a new tax on strip clubs, for example, and a Utah state rep. suggested saving $60 million per year by abolishing the 12th grade. But no proposal struck as much metaphorical gold as Arizona’s decision to sell off the state capitol (and a whole bunch of other state properties, such as maximum security prisons) for $735 million in 2009.
Republican Gov. Jan Brewer signed off on the deal, and the state now leases the House and Senate chambers from a private real estate company at a considerable long-term cost. But now, presumably still a little embarrassed by the whole episode, presented with the unfamiliar feeling of cash on hand, and rapidly approaching the state’s 100th birthday, Brewer wants the Arizona capitol back in the hands of Arizonans.

Key & Peele: Obama Loses His SH*T
I’m tempted to run out to my truck and sign on to twitter and add FLOTUS so I can help up the number of followers. Although it will probably take me ten minutes just to get through security.
Go Don Go…She is worth it 😆

Shuster slams National Review for cover-up of Romney’s Bain bailout
By Eric W. Dolan| Thursday, January 12, 2012
Countdown guest host David Shuster on Wednesday night chided the National Review, a leading conservative publication, for claiming Mitt Romney’s firm Bain Capital invested in struggling businesses and “never asked for a bailout.” But the firm received a federal bailout of $10 million. “All news publishers, even [the National Review], have an obligation to be honest and truthful,” said Shuster.

NYT actually has an article titled :
Should The Times Be a Truth Vigilante?
By ARTHUR S. BRISBANE
“I’m looking for reader input on whether and when New York Times news reporters should challenge “facts” that are asserted by newsmakers they write about.”
Lord Have Mercy!
Seriously? That’s a core element of Journalism 101 (or it was when I was getting my Journalism degree in the ’80s). I swear everything that’s common practice in today’s media are things that I was taught NOT to do. I’m so glad I decided to take the PR path, at least we are honest about being shills.
In other words should they be require to do their jobs. I knew I cancelled that rag for a reason. I’ll never forgive then for cheermisleading us into Iraq.
We can criticize the NYT for asking this question, or we can sent them an email and thank them for asking, and encourage them to report the facts and write articles that show the complexity of the issues. Asking for feedback is much better than ignoring us.

A Very, very Happy Birthday, a4alice I hope you are having a wonderful day. Today is also my niece’s birthday and tomorrow is my daughter’s birthday. Unfortunately my niece is in DC and my daughter is in Ithaca, NY. So I don’t get to personally celebrate with them. Again have a wonderful day.
