VC how are you embedding your youtube videos in your tweets? are you hitting share… then copy and paste link to tweet?

      • 28 vcprezofan2
        February 3, 2013 at 1:24 pm

I always do things the long way, LP. I hit ‘view media’, then when it comes up I hit ‘details’, then I copy the url. I bet you anything someone has a simpler way. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Mine doesn’t always show right away either.

I actually copy the url of the video and paste it in the tweet. I never pay attention to the ‘share’ button. No fancy stuff for me! ๐Ÿ˜‰

      • February 3, 2013 at 1:32 pm

LOL, no worries. For some reason I have been embedding youtube videos forever in tweets the same way, and they show up fine in wordpress, but the last two days when my tweet posts, it just shows the link to the youtube video and not the video itself. Oh well!

Today in my twitter ‘chat away’, I’m hunting down vids of people who are speaking out for a plan for sensible gun use. If you find a short video dealing with this aspect of the issue, please share. People like LaPierre get lots of ‘air’ time with their unreasonable outcry so we can try to snag a wee bit of air time with the other viewpoint. This way we can at least help our contacts spread the fact that not every one feels like the nutjobs

Not sure why video didnt show in tweet, maybe I am doing it wrong. Any suggestions? Had been working for months the same way.

I have read he avoided the military during the Vietnam era because he had a “nervous condition”. After all these years he has not recovered from it.

Then La pew should not be allowed to own a gun if he has a mental condition. Funny how the “Elite” were allowed to not go and fight while the middle class and working poor kids HAD to go fight. If they Elite kids did go they got cushy jobs but did not face danger.

Interesting, given that he now thinks he’s the leader of a militia, preparing to fight their own government. He wasn’t prepared to defend his country, but now he’s working to destroy it? Despicable.

Well Duh!?!! He only skeet shoots while at Camp David. Was he suppose to shoot a clay pigeon out of the air over the kids heads at the game? I say for effect, PBO should enter the House chambers for his State of the Union address with a ground to air missile launcher and all sorts of other assault type weapons strapped to his back. Then through a mounted scope slowly scan the room. Once done, like Beyonce at her press conference, he would just ask, ‘any questions?’

btw, I don’t have a problem with Mark letting us in on PBO’s comings and goings, those little tidbits (meals, golf, bball outings) that we’d otherwise not know. However, the snark at the end of this one is a bit much.

      hack knoller in 2007:

“Some of the problems: You mention one, pack journalism. Whereby one or two or a couple reporters lead the way on the way a story is reported. We shouldn’t be influenced by one another. We ought to make our judgments independently.”

hilarious pontificating from this hack in that article, especially considering he almost can’t make a single comment on our president without using the latest fake talking point, such as the “skeet” comment above. the photo of knoller with that article is especially funny and appropriate. if i cared and had the time, i’d look at some of his writing during bush years, and see if he always had his constant jabs based on the latest republican (or would be democratic in that case) talking points. wonder how much he “reported” on the bush almost being killed by a pretzel, or the male prostitute posing as a journalist in the bush white house press corps, who was constantly called on to ask questions despite the jeff gannon/guckert never having been a journalist before.

The pack journalism drumbeat to war was disgusting. Did you hear anyone of them mention it? I heard Matthews once! Rachel wasn’t on TV, I don’t listen to radio. Can’t remember Olberman.

That is so nice of POTUS to make time for his daughters. I remember FLOTUS was on Michael and Kelly show talking about the way President Obama and VP Biden is when they are watching the girls play basketball. And President Obama even talking trash to the ref.

How much do we want to bet that while President Obama is enjoying the SuperBowl with family and friends that someone somewhere who meant this nation harm is being annihilated by perhaps some of our top notch Navy Seals? Then our Beloved President Swag will stroll into that room where he announced the killing of Bin Laden and tell us what he gave the OK to. He is such a cool man.

What’s up with Kasich and Jindal expanding Medicaid? In other words, what’s their individual and collective vested self-interest?

Our governor could learn a thing or two from Kasich. From what I read Jindal’s plan will rob one group of people to pay for another, so it’s really not an extension. Our minister today was talking about Christ’s ministry, and mentioned healing as one part of it, and then discussed Gov. Fallin cutting off 200,000 people from health care by refusing (paid for) Medicaid. He always takes the Bible lesson and applies it to modern life.

        February 3, 2013 at 2:55 pm

And isn’t it a shame that we don’t believe for a second that Kasich and Jindal actually give a damn about the people who will benefit from the expansion.

        • 77 jacquelineoboomer
          February 3, 2013 at 3:04 pm

Yes, it’s a shame. I don’t personally believe they give a damn. It’s so offputting that my head explodes. I knew it had to be for their political gain, but I wasn’t thinking further out than their own states, because – to me – they’re lucky they got elected to those offices. Guess the answer is they’re looking for some Independent voters in 2016, and will point back to this “one” moderate accomplishment to get ’em. Now, if they can offer up some Spanish-sounding surnames for the people they’ve “helped” with Medicaid, out of the goodness of their hearts, even if they have to make them up, they’ll think they can get the Hispanic vote, too. Their lack of conscience and a social core is mind-blowing. And sick-e-ning.

I think it’s the brilliance of the way the Affordable Care Act was crafted. A lot of these “states rights” governors are seeing the reality of the implementation of the law.

There is tremendous pressure from hospitals and doctors to expand Medicaid, as there is also increased payments with the participation of Medicaid expansions. Medical providers in red states that don’t participate go without.

Lucky VP and Dr. Biden…..in Paris tonight! We love Paris………so many wonders, from the food, the sights, the art, the music, the cafes, the streets, the courtyards, the formality of the people, the quietness of the conversations…..the great, yes, I mean it, the great French waiters. One French waiter can take care of a room of numerous people more efficiently than three do here. They don’t waste time talking, and just expect that the food is good, so don’t stand asking “how is it?”
One rainy Sunday several years ago, my husband and I wandered into a wonderful, quiet restaurant and we were the only non-French there. The owner knew we were Americans, and in limited (but clear) English explained to us that the chicken was free-range….he was proud of that. It was absolutely delicious, and the place was just so cozy, what you want from a family run French restaurant. Anyway, I get absolutely nostalgic thinking of the Bidens being in that romantic city.

Through the wonder of twitter, I just clued in to something called “Puppy Bowl” on Animal Planet. Within 10 seconds I was laughing my head off. It mimics the Superbowl using puppies and comes with hilarious commentary. The puppies are shelter puppies and Animal Planet provides information on how they can be adopted.

    It’s quite funny.
