She already has a show at noon——did they change her time slot? I am just checking back in—-pant pant, huff, huff, racing around trying to do xmas stuff, but of course couldn’t miss the press conf. I might have missed this earlier news. I might be rare here, but I like Alex. Not perfect, but who is? She’s at least smart and I know her background and her liberal political view.

Alex is very comfortable with Corporate RW guests. That means promotion at MSNBC.
I am now certain that Martin blew up his last show on purpose. He wanted out.
Similarly we will not see Joy Reid at the helm unless she agrees to the allGOP allthetime framing that Chris Matthews has embraced so enthusiastically.
MSNBC is now comitted to Clinton and Christie. On social issues these two people differ but on the economics Corporate 1% matters they are identical Bad Twins.

If anyone here at TOD disagrees with my dark view please set me straight. I’d like to be mistaken on any of the points I made above.

I no longer watch at 4:00 pm so don’t know. I guess Alex will be okay since MSNBC got rid of Bashir, who I absolutely adored. Hope he ends up at a media outlet that will respect his sharp wit and excellent commentary.

Well, a girl has got to talk to herself if no one else is there to facilitate conversation. Don’t you talk to yourself when no one else is around? I do it all the time, Japa.

Believe they work with their network camera operators in advance to check out the visual, so that once President Obama completes the press conference, they can hop on air and tell us what we should think we just heard from our President.

If you were asking “why jackasses?” then I would only add that it appears that’s all that’s available in the WHPC. 🙂

Howdy O’s!!! What a great getting up day on TOD boulevard!!!

I’m listening to my President and as usual, after his shout out to me, he is doing a wonderful job. It only takes hearing his responses to the questions to let me know that all the MSM hoopla is not his concern. He doesn’t care about polls and his ratings. He acknowledges and tolerates them with a sense of ‘oh gee whiz you idjits get a life’. I’m so glad he’s as steady as it goes, which keeps me positive and caring less and less about what they say (not that I ever did).

Merry Christmas Mr. President! You’re making sure we all sleep better and better.

The gulf between the quality of the questions and the answers is HUGE—–like Grand Canyon huge.

        December 20, 2013 at 2:45 pm

Which is why I focus on the person giving the answers and not at all on the question nor the questioner. They want to be the center of attention, but sorry, I won’t give it to them, no more than I would cater to a child throwing a tantrum. I refuse to waste one pixel’s life by mentioning who they are, what they said, or how they said it. Their disrespect deserves no mention, imo. They only want to see him get angry by prodding and trying to hit some button they’ve yet to find. I won’t reward them in that effort.

Love PBO’s answer to the Toad re. healthcare—–the demand is there, the product is good. In spite of all the problems over 2 million have signed up. People will have access to health care who haven’t had it, and that’s a good thing. Toad rebuts. Obama shines in response.

The youngster in the pool asks a meaningful question. The old guard should take heed. Youngsters know what’s important to their lives and the lives of the general public. Good question that gives PBO a chance to explain the Olympic decision.

This will warm your heart after the asshat reporters at the press conference. It’s his personal experience with booze, sex and his experience as a WH reporter. He starts out idealistic. it’s a good read.

Long article, this is on p. 2

“…When I returned from my 28 days in rehab, in January 2010, it was harder to ignore the near criminal disconnect between Washington and the rest of the country, especially in an industry that has turned neighbors against each other while its instigators clock out and meet for a beer together, skilled actors who in many cases spend the day feigning hatred for each other on camera but are actually bound by their shared nihilism and reckless self-absorption. In Washington, a divided America is good for business…..”

Brilliant – totally one-sided on that part – and dignified year-end press conference, Mr. President … although a couple of the real reporters asked a couple of good questions, unless you missed them since they were kinda drowned out by … you know … the mofos.

So, there you have it. He’ll be off on hiatus!

This song really has nothing to do with the President’s departure, except the “Blues” part on my part (only because we’ll miss him!) and maybe the “and while I’m away … dust out the demons inside” part – I’m sure he would sing that and add ” … inside Congress and this WHPC and Duck Dynasty world.” But I don’t think Elton John is on Chips’ “banned” list, so I’m going for it.

Have a wonderful vacation with your family in Hawaii, Mr. President! We shall miss our chance to see and hear you every day, but enjoy the Christmas R&R, sir.

    Thanks cookemon;
It’s been a rough journey. At least I was able to clear up the lies being told. My family members, their friends, and neighbors during that time were amazed at how deep I was into the computer every time I got a chance and how happy I was daddy saw President Obama before he left this earth. I was relentless . I am/was so HAPPY my father got a chance to see President Obama after living through Jim Crow, WWII, and appreciate President Obama in the 9 decades of his life. No doubt daddy is laughing at how stupid the fools in this press conference are.

Oh Pluzzzee Chuck E. Toad needs to stop his lies. I had to roll the dvr back to make sure Chuck E. Toad said that PBO’s demeanor wasn’t happy. President Obama was not dreading the press conference as Chuck E. Toad thinks. If anything, it was Chuck E. Toad who dreaded not having the chance to push his BS. No, the President is not going to delay the mandate. Why would our President do that when a couple million people have signed up or take the benefits away from people who are enjoying the ACA?
