Can I just say that I’m gutted that Kirsty MacColl is dead and Dick Cheney is alive?

Even at Christmas – there I was chatting along on the last thread …. I have finished the cooking, dispensed with the cleaning and opened the vino an hour earlier than should be done. Life is good with TOD, family and grandbabes – (and great grandbabes for some.)

Ha – just found out we get a holiday next year when the G20 is on. Guess that is because of the security – no-one will be able to get into the city!
I have a feeling the only place I’ll see PBO is on the TV

Nice! If you’ve got the day off, you can spend the whole day watching the proceedings on TV, in the comfort of your own home!

Dateline TOD … Christmas Eve on the East Coast … In a remarkable turn of events, Chips “takes back” the blog, forcing “Christmas Tunes Irish Style” on the unsuspecting … daring them to like ’em or suffer the Newtkini consequences … (on Christmas Eve!) (help us, Santa!) … probably planning to ban a few. Personally, I love the songs. But I have just one thought at this hour, Christmas Eve or not:

Nowhere close to getting caught up, but can’t hang in any longer. Tomorrow will be a long day as well. Thanks to all those who have shared memories to date. This is a really sweet feature and is a very meaningful way to see how events affected the members of our village/world. Sweet Dreams, everyone, whether you are sleeping already or heading there later!

I am surprised at Bob Casey and Kirsten Gillibrand. What are they trying to prove? I am going to remember these names when I get an email asking for a donation. I can’t see anything gained from this.

Thank you, LL, for the Irish Christmas tunes!

Wishing all of you a joyous Christmas Eve – and for those TODers not celebrating Christmas, a fine 24 Dec 2013.

Will repeat this theme more than a few times in the days/weeks ahead – because it is bedrock reality regarding whtat actually matters most to the sustainable National Security of the USA:

    #FORWARD Together

‘ “Pretty normal day. I always golf with the President. I’m just kidding it was really cool,” said Larson Leu, golfer.

Then there was a polar bear which made a special trip. Not just to putt around but to make a statement.

“We are here to remind the President that he has to say no to the Keystone pipeline. The Keystone pipeline would carry amazingly dirty oil that would make climate change worse, melt the arctic and drive me the polar bear to extinction,” said Bill Snape, Center for Biological Diversity, who was dressed on a polar bear costume.

After the round the President did notice the demonstrating bear and shouted, “hey polar bear.”
The President did not go for a hike today. After the round he shook hands and counted his strokes before hitting the beach with family.

We saw the President play the 9th hole. He had a great drive, then pulled his second shot into the bunker and three putted. He may be the most powerful man in the world but he golf’s like the rest of us. ‘
