Honestly….I am over these crooks, liars, cheaters and entitled people. I don’t care WHO they are or WHAT they do. They all need to GTFOH and leave the rest of us alone. I hope this gets dealt with….I’m sure Issa will get right on this one. Not.

Hey JB – congrats! We need to push back hard on the GOP mangling of the CBO report on job freedom and the ACA. People like my son with a pre-existing condition will be able to leave their big companies and go be entrepreneurs. Boomers who have held on to jobs during the recession hoping to make it to Medicare can relax early and do part-time work or go freelance, opening places for the young folks. It’s a good thing!

It certainly is a good thing! Democrats are at least all over twitter, pushing back on the lies. Even msnbc tweeted a favorable piece on the CBO report. What fighting back looks like!

Good evening all – I’m just having lunch & it’s night owl time! Still the grandbabe is coming soon to tire me out – so should be an early night 🙂

I gather the media has been cherry picking the news – out of context – as usual. No wonder they want the Christie chat to disappear – that has been stopping them whinging 24×7 about the President.

OMG! If any TOD’ers are familiar with ESPN NFL commentators, and current NFL Coaches (Chiefs Andy Reid & 49ers Jim Harbaugh) you may start crying of laughter……… Brilliant parody on the faux Richard Sherman controversy

“He’s like Bo Jackson or Dijon Sanders”

Tomorrow is the BIG day village……….. National Signing Day, where High School athletes sign their (LOI) Letters of intent to play college football next year. I’m only now recovering from Auburn’s last second loss in the BCS title game. Crossing fingers for a Top 5 recruiting class. WAR EAGLE!

My observation skills are sharpening in my old age! 😀 First I noticed that my PBO pic on the TOD masthead has gone (stolen by a nieghbour?), now on my third viewing of the flag-waving obot I have to ask – Whatever happened to the Maryland snow? It just occurred to me the fan is standing outside, coat open, no gloves, AND NO WHITE STUFF anywhere around! And there’s no need for her to be thusly deprived when I would willingly share my snow and cold with her. I’m not mean. 😉

Ms. Chips, I love the picture at the top of the post of the woman witht he American flaf who took the time to stand outside and wave at the President’s motorcade passed by her house.
It just reminded me of myself. The very first time of my adult life that I was proud to hold the American flag is when POB became President. Before that everything was just a blurr…..no nightmare. The first time I felt included. I know that she has a name.
But for now I will just call her Mrs. I AM Somebody, your President sees you and so do I.
God bless you and God bless America.

    • February 5, 2014 at 5:20 am

LDS, doubt you’ll see this, but have been thinking about you and Mrs. I AM for hours now. I see you, too… thank you for sharing.

    • February 5, 2014 at 7:44 am

      What an awesome comment…LDS…

I feel as you do…for all of my life…I have felt on the outside as far as being an American…not really wanted here…always having to fight for rights that should have been given as a matter of birth…PBO has shown me that it is possible to win against those forces that seek to disenfranchise me…I think I knew this…but he continues to validate that audacity of Hope…

he has also shown me the that it is the struggle for freedom and justice that has transformed and continues to make us a “More Perfect Union”…

ah, who can forget the lovely time putin had with his friends, the republicans bush family at their multi-million dollar family vacation estate in maine?

george bush said putin is a good man after looking into putin’s eyes and seeing his soul (not joking…he actually said that). and these are the people the likes of chuck todd and david gregory defend constantly, while never, ever saying saying anything about the incredible amount of accomplishment from president obama.

      • February 5, 2014 at 2:08 am

Our President transcends all these avaricious, evil people, as you know 4mf44. The vast majority of people on the planet also recognize just how fine a person and great, giving leader he is.

Putin and Bush are the trash of our species.

I would never be able to sleep having to look at that picture every night.
Why in the world would he think someone would want to see that picture of him?
I just pray that everyone gets back home safely. This is not setting well with me.
Maybe our president will intervene and postpone this.
I just have a feeling Snowden is waiting to show his ass once things get stared by doing something dumber than Christie.

On my first trip abroad while Prez Clinton was in office my late husband and I stayed in a Parisian small Hotel recommended in the Rick Steves book. Lots of French places ignored Americans if they did not speak French. This hotel was welcoming to Americans, but the odd thing was they had a life size cardboard cutout of Bill Clinton in our breakfast room. Guess they thought that would make us feel at home.

Couldn’t rest before commenting on this …

One of the most important outcomes of 4 Nov 2014 must be a Congress that will support President Obama’s efforts to ensure every female is paid equitably compared to their male counterparts – irrespective of the type of job.

    Yes WE MUST

Yet, once again, this is exactly the kind of revealing information that exposes and supports the issues, bringing the attention of the public to the truth and reality of these facts. Here is a woman far more qualified for the job, more dedicated to the company for decades, deliberately underpaid. So, this is a good thing, perhaps people will begin to pay attention to other areas of inequity and injustice.

Kathleen, HERE I COME TO SAVE THE DAY!!!!!!!!
Good morning. I did see you way up above. It is a pleasure to share with you.
I don’t know why Mrs. I AM SOMEBODY just touched my heartin a special way. She stands ther and no doubt she “got herself together” to stand there and wait. There is no crowd. No fanfare. She waits. I do not know how long she stood there to wait. Bit I noticed there is no chair. No steps for her to sit down. She waits.
She may have been waiting all of her life just like me.
Sleep would not come to me easily, so I came here to see if there was some music to calm my soul and here I am talking to myself.
No more coffee after 8:00 pm!

Her timid wave makes me think she saw the President.
    So proud of her.

Morning everyone:) Well look at this! http://www.kpho.com/story/24638929/cvs-caremark-plans-to-stop-tobacco-products-sales

CVS Caremark is kicking the habit of selling tobacco products at its more than 7,600 drugstores nationwide as it focuses more on providing health care.

The nation’s second-largest drugstore chain said Wednesday that it will phase out cigarettes, cigars and chewing tobacco by Oct. 1, a move that will cost about $2 billion in annual revenue but won’t affect its 2014 earnings forecast. CVS Caremark leaders say removing tobacco will help them grow the company’s business of working with doctors, hospitals and other care providers to improve customers’ health.

CVS Caremark Corp. and other major drugstore chains have been adding clinics to their stores for several years now. Their pharmacists deliver flu shots and other immunizations, and those clinics also have been expanding the care they deliver. They now help people manage chronic illnesses like high blood pressure and diabetes.

Obama praises CVS for pulling tobacco from shelves
WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama is praising CVS Caremark for its decision to stop selling tobacco products at its drugstores.

Obama says CVS is setting a “powerful example,” and says the decision will help his administration’s efforts to reduce tobacco-related deaths and disease and bring down health care costs.
