We need to make that DGA conference table twice that size, next time around! Go, Democrats!

    • February 21, 2014 at 12:50 pm

Ha, yes Jacqueline, we want one that takes up five White House rooms!

Ah, yes – 5 for 50 – wouldn’t it be nice if all 50 states had Democratic governors?

“We” could “retire” – and dream happy dreams each night! (Oh, wait, I do that anyway. We’ll think of something new-ish!)

I’d seriously rather he didn’t, CarolMae, because then there’d be a whole bunch of hypocrites people coming out of the woodwork to say how great a speaker he had been. Not to mention the money that might be used up to give him a special funeral. A resignation will do the trick with less fuss.

    Hey, I’m finally here!!!!

I just finished viewing the FLOTUS/Jimmy Fallon vids. I just luv how conversational Mrs. Obama is with Jimmy! I could watch the video’s over and over. She is so wonderful!!!

    • February 21, 2014 at 1:31 pm

Hellooooooooooooo GGail, she’s a whole bunch of awesome!!

She makes me want to have lunch or dinner with her. That’s an idea that I feel would have some positive results for OFA. Instead of the “Meet the President”, they should be promoting a “Lunch with FLOTUS”. I know I would make a contribution for that!

I think we’ve have the opportunity to meet her previously, but now would be a great time.

Thanks Chips – the whole R&S was A-OK! I went from rocking and singing with POTUS to smiling and laughing with FLOTUS 😀

“I went from rocking and singing with POTUS to smiling and laughing with FLOTUS”

I had my head phones on and totally ignored EVERYBODY! Hahahahaha!!!!

It’s been a rough week, they’ve worked me like I was a bit player in 12 Years a Slave – so I deserved my treat this morning 😀

Sacramento Democratic Party Leader Resigns After Tweeting Death Wish For Republican Staffer’s Kids

I don’t think that Allan is a bad person. I just think that he gets carried away a little too easy. He apologized and disabled his twitter account for a good while after that incident last fall. I’m just a little disappointed that he sent out the tweet this morning. He doesn’t always use the best judgement IMO.

I wasn’t aware of (or had forgotten) the brouhaha, but I agree about Allan. He’s passionate, but just a little immature in how he deals with issues. Obviously, tweeting death wishes is verboten and can’t be tolerated, but otherwise I usually agree with his political discourse.

Hi everyone, I don’t feel good and haven’t visited or read through posts for several days. I just felt like going online and seeing good news and I’m finding a lot of it. I’ll share the best. Sorry if you’ve already been alerted, but good news is good even if we read it twice, right!

  15. February 21, 2014 at 1:47 pm

Now, for some real news. The missus has secured a position with another hospice agency, one which pays much more. She goes in for her physical and paperwork next week. She won’t quit her current job until she sees she can get hours with the new place.

Congratulations to Misses LL. I wish her all the best and much success with her new position.

      • February 21, 2014 at 1:54 pm

This could turn out to be a really good thing. From what she told me, they’re developing a position for which she would be well suited, and which would pay even more than they’re offering initially. Plus, this agency has extensive training.

My best regards for a positive outcome. There is much depth and tremendous blessing in this work, for the helpers and for those being helped.

Totally agree. The hospice people I dealt with at home for my mother were magnificent, as were their office personnel who made arrangements. They do truly magnificent work – both to keep folks at home, if they wish to be, and to give a helping hand and an empathetic ear through grief to their full-time caregivers (usually family members) at what could be a crushing emotional time for them, as well.

        • February 21, 2014 at 4:18 pm

Hospice workers are like angels. They give such good care to those in their final stages of life. The nurses that took care of my aunt were so great. LL this sounds like such a wonder opportunity for the missus. Hope she gets the job, hours and the new position.

Spot on, JoJo. It takes so much courage to do hospice and ‘go gentle into that good night’ should be their motto.

Completely wonderful news LL, so thrilled for Mrs LL – love and hugs to you both!

LL, if your missus lived here, I’d hire her in a heartbeat! She’d fit in perfectly with our great team of hospice nurses.

This article raised my awareness that all businesses have to deal with complaints going viral on the Internet or in the news. It talks about how ObamaCare is responding using sound business techniques. I think they are doing such a good job with the ACA.

Wolf….Your guest compared first term Senator Eliz Warren running for President as the same as Barack Obama…a first term Senator that ran for President.

One problem…..Barack Obama was a State Senator for 12 prior to becoming a US Senator.

The experience is far from equal.

… John Paul Stevens, 93, served on the highest court in the land for an impressive 35 years, from 1975 until his retirement in June 2010. Known for his bow ties, brilliant legal mind, and striking transformation from Midwest Republican conservative to hero of the political left, Stevens remains an intellectual force to reckon with. In his latest book, the forthcoming Six Amendments: How and Why We Should Change the Constitution, he offers a half-dozen stimulating ideas for altering, and he would say improving, our foundational legal document. …

Since Stevens believes that the authors of the Second Amendment were primarily concerned about the threat that a national standing army posed to the sovereignty of the states—as opposed to homeowners’ anxiety about violent felons—he thinks the best way to fix the situation is to amend the Second Amendment. He’d do that by adding five words as follows:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the militia shall not be infringed. …
