      Thank you , LH, for this link. This was a powerful conversation between Lawrence and Joy. Joy cut through all the criticism and disrespect shown to our president and underscored how monumental a development “My Brothers Keeper” is and how important this presidency is in history. I loved when she said that the so-called conservative straight talk the president delivered to the young men came from his grandmother’s midwestern values. Our president is such complex mix of values that very few people actually “get” him, which is why they’re either angry at him or trying to change him into their own image.

        I hear ya JG. I think Joy Reid is the best political analyst on cable television. Her discussion with Lawrence was brilliant. She said what needed to be said beautifully. She gets to the heart of the matter like no one else.
