Hail, DD! Good entrance! 😉
I’m feeling a bit jealous. How come you get these sweet pics of PBO when you mount the podium and I others get a simple helllllllooo, or something like?
MY OH MY…IT LOOKS LIKE YOU GIRLS HAVE BEEN HAVING A LITTLE ADMIRATION FOR THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF PARTY WHILE I WAS GONE…YOU DON’T WANT FLOTUS TO STRONGARM YOU….NOW DO YOU GIRLS?…LOLLLLLLLLLL…RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
Of course, I could add that I really don’t go goo-goo gaa-gaa over wet PBO simply because everyone else does. I’m not actually fond of crowds. I think you’ve forgotten my goo-goos are generally saved for PBO with kids who are fascinated with him. Touches way down deep!
Well, Anniebella, in 1950s there were still many decent Republicans, like MA Senator Edward Brooke; whereas the Southern wing of the Democratic party was dominated by rabid segregationists who later joined the Republican party after Congress enacted Civil Rights laws, such the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
During his time Most African Americans were Republicans. Lincoln and past support for many North Eastern GOPers were Moderately Conservative. Fiscally Conservative and Socially more Liberal. They believed in a gov’t that functioned even though for the affluently connected and the Wall Street Types.
I know all that nathkatun7, and Nena, but I guess I am judging all Republicans by what I see today. Those Tea Republican Party. I am sure there are some decent Republicans out there ( hard to fine because they don’t separate themselves from the extreme radical racists bunch).
Another shout out to the Gap. They must be loving all of this attention from POTUS. Actually, I have a strong urge to go buy a few Gap classic tees and a scarf or two.
Thanks for the heads up on the coupon code. I have not shopped at The Gap in years, but I wanted to give them some love for treating their employees right. I bought 2 classic v-neck tees and saved over 15.00, so I basically did not pay for shipping, nor taxes, and paid only 6.50 less for the shirts.
If I Iived near a Costco, I would go there as well. Companies that pay a living wage and those that keep their offices here in the US and make products here should be rewarded.
you’re welcome CEB, I’m so glad it worked for you. I’m going to order some things from there before the sale is over this weekend 🙂 And I’m with you, I much prefer to give good companies my money & my business. Places that take care of there employees will get my business.
Oh well, since my “PBO!” didn’t seem to work, let me just say howdy to all my O peeps!!! It’s still a great getting up day in TODsville never the less. I’m so over the snow though (had 4-6″ yesterday), and there’s still more in the forecast! I’m really concerned about The Great Melt and what it’ll do to my basement. I’ve been plugging up holes, spraying expanding foam goop, and purging all kinds of stuffs that’s been relegated to the Land of All Things Forgotten.
So anyway, I’ve unplugged from all things political lately, but decided to catch the overtime speech. As usual, our guy is fanbutabulicious!
Hi Cookemom. Was good to read that you got that surprise visit from #2 and grand kids. Honestly I could not live in that weather. I know y’all think we are wusses here in the DC area because we shutdown for 6 inches of snow but that stuff is just horrible. So you have my complete sympathy.
Ha, I don’t think you are wusses, cause I know it takes generations of building snow stamina into the DNA. This year is a true testament to that theory, even here, where we’re suppose to be use to it.
Yeah, it was #1 and my 8 year old grandson who drove all that way to surprise us. She couldn’t believe that our weather in Chicago was more extreme than in No. Dakota!
That’s the first behind-the-president group that I’ve noticed who were really focused on the President motions as he made his signature! They followed each stroke of each pen in fascination. 😆 😆
I will have to disagree with you Linda. I work very hard, and don’t get bonus or extra pay. I work for the benefit of our clients and for the personal satisfaction of a job well done. I work to keep my mind sharp and occupied. Without work, what would be the pleasure of leisure?
When House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa chose to abruptly end a committee hearing last week, he did more than rudely cut off Rep. Elijah Cummings.
According to independent legal analysis, Issa made it impossible to hold Lois Lerner in contempt for refusing to testify by walking out of the hearing.
Democrats on the Oversight Committee released this today:
He’s a gigantic waste of taxpayer money. Get rid of his sorry, incompetent ass CA!!
AB, it is NOT okay for any decent human being to act the way Christie does. The people who come to these meetings are his constituents. Showing contempt for them makes him a disgusting creep who isn’t worthy of any elected office. He is utterly repellent in every way.
jackie, I myself know it is not okay, but certain people think that way, it is a double standard. What kind of trash would POTUS get if he treated a heckler that way? Let’s see what is said about Christie. Christie has gotten away with that kind of behavior for along time.
What I see is that anyone that cannot control their reaction to difficulties shows they should not be holding office where keeping their cool with enemies is essential.
“Thanks to Edward Snowden, who has leaked tens of thousands of NSA documents, we are. Do you consider him a hero or a traitor? I think he broke the law, so I certainly wouldn’t characterize him as a hero. If he wanted to raise the issues and stay in the country and engage in civil disobedience or something of that kind, or if he had been careful in terms of what he had released, then it would fit more of the model of “OK, I’m really trying to improve things.” You won’t find much admiration from me.”
Ukraine’s interim PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk has confronted Russia’s UN Ambassador at the UN Security Council. Video should be available on the UN Security Council website later today.
What disgusts me most is that not one word of Ryan’s little commentary is accidental.
“… there’s plenty of circumstantial evidence that the Republican Party deliberately uses this kind of coded language to evoke racial animosity against minority constituencies. And when it comes to the phrase “inner city,” Google Ngram provides some additional contextual information suggesting that yes, the term is a key part of the political language of racial backlash.”
“… when it is specifically white conservative politicians that are using the term, they are doing so in a way that invokes those connotations. And as political scientist Tom Schaller suggests, it’s a good bet that’s deliberate when the very same politicians invoking “culture” to explain “inner city” poverty are not using the same explanation for rising rural poverty.”
Linda, I would not want to see Ted Cruz eating. There is something so nauseating about him that only the strongest of stomachs could take looking at him.
I just thought of a new career for Cruz—–and it would get him out of our govt. and he could make Lots Of Moneys! A new diet plan!—-hire himself out to sit across from people interested in shedding some pounds——which would result in a complete loss of appetite! Success!
AB, I never trusted him.
My family in NJ always said he was a phony. I believe them.
He tries too hard to be good and to be like POB. Of course, that will never ever happen.
Lost me when he was perfectly happy to go along with Christie on the special election – and he has not said a word about Bridgegate. Methinks he really wants no investigations in NJ – and Cruz is playing him – he is that naive about DC.
Ok. That made me all mushy inside. Granted, I AM a sap but I teared up a bit. Thanks so much for sharing and kudos to HoneyMaid for following Cheerios lead. Beautiful.
So sad that people have to live on dirt for a couple of months – and what will happen in the house? – Shame more politicians don’t become long term unemployed – they are seriously lacking any form of empathy whatsoever.
Hopefully soon we will have the videos of Ukraininan PM Yatsenyuk statements at the UN Security Council meeting. I was only able to hear his brief closing statement. The man is a real & genuinely powerful leader.
Our local news just did a nice piece/interview with a Deputy Secretary from the Energy Dept. He spent the day at Oak Ridge Labs. He talked about how important science and math and engineering are to PO…..how important it is to our economy……our future overall as we have to compete in the world economy. It was a good interview and good for people in this area to hear. Oak Ridge is a HUGE part of our local economy.
Speaking of Oak Ridge. I’m going to share an article from our paper couple days ago. Oak Ridge Scholars’ Bowl team rank ninth in the world.
Oak Ridge High School is amazing. The technology it has……the teachers, etc. I’m not surprised this team excels to such a great degree.
Congress means both Chambers. I know the senate did reach an agreement. Boehner and his destructive, obstructionist forces are usually the problematic chamber.
A primary challenger to Lindsey Graham on Thursday called the Republican senator “ambiguously gay,” according to The State.
“It’s about time that South Carolina (says) hey, we’re tired of the ambiguously gay senator from South Carolina,” little-known candidate Dave Feliciano said during a press conference at the state house.
Feliciano, a police officer from Spartanburg, S.C. with no political experience, made an agreement with three other candidates challenging Graham to support each other if any of them make it to the runoff election.
LHM: Pass the popcorn…Primary Challenger Says South Carolina Is Tired Of 'Ambiguously Gay' Lindsey Graham http://t.co/YAMU44d3nx
I am against outing anyone who is NOT publicly anti-LGBTQ community.
SC is a state with backward thinking. Is the same going to be asked of Scott West?
They have been electing Lindsey Graham since 1994. That is 20 yrs and now they want to know who he sleeps with now? Anyway there are many running against Graham that after the primary is over, he would get the most votes.
PBO!
Donnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnna!
Oh My! Just for little ole me??? I’m loving it. Thank you so much Chips.
Look at our FINE President!
Hail, DD! Good entrance! 😉
I’m feeling a bit jealous. How come you get these sweet pics of PBO when you mount the podium and
Iothers get a simple helllllllooo, or something like?Ha! A little green with envy are we
😆
A little.
Another prize Donna (this’ll send VC over the edge – it’s the ultimate prize)
Hot Da%%!!! That one will keep me from working the rest of the afternoon. 😉
Wet President Obama!!!!!!!
😆
MY OH MY…IT LOOKS LIKE YOU GIRLS HAVE BEEN HAVING A LITTLE ADMIRATION FOR THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF PARTY WHILE I WAS GONE…YOU DON’T WANT FLOTUS TO STRONGARM YOU….NOW DO YOU GIRLS?…LOLLLLLLLLLL…RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

Gasp! Can’t respond fully. Barely hanging….ooof!….on to ….the edge….. gasp! CC…..mean to….day. Why?
Ooooh, teasing you is my most loved hobby!
Mine too (when I manage to get a shot in). So we’re even! 😉 😉
Of course, I could add that I really don’t go goo-goo gaa-gaa over wet PBO simply because everyone else does. I’m not actually fond of crowds. I think you’ve forgotten my goo-goos are generally saved for PBO with kids who are fascinated with him. Touches way down deep!
Indeed….
Ha, especially for little young you!
……is so gorgeous.
Congrats, Donna.
Good Afternoon, Everyone!
PBO!
PBO, I Tells ya!!!
Yes, there he is, just as sweet as he can be.
It appears many Dems are making ads about the Koch Bros.
How about making ads in support of the ACA.
Have Americans who have benefit from ACA talk about that.
How the heck did Gen. Powell become a Republican? He look like a cousin of mines.
That made me smile, Annieb. I guess no cousin of yours would dare become a repub. 😀
You dam right, vcprezofan2. If there is one who happen to be a Republican, then we are not close.
He or she would not be welcome to my dinner table.
Well, Anniebella, in 1950s there were still many decent Republicans, like MA Senator Edward Brooke; whereas the Southern wing of the Democratic party was dominated by rabid segregationists who later joined the Republican party after Congress enacted Civil Rights laws, such the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

well they are having a 40% off entire order friends & family (you’re family) sale starting today 🙂 just got their ad in an email, enter SAVE40
Fabulous, thanks so much for the info.
my pleasure.

As one of many TODmothers, how dem babies doing?
Every single month! Wouldn’t I love to know, YA! Please share if you actually get a reasonable answer. 😉
I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for it. 😀
😀
How out-of-this-world cool would it be to be standing next to PBO, watching him carry out his beautiful signature.
That’s the first behind-the-president group that I’ve noticed who were really focused on the President motions as he made his signature! They followed each stroke of each pen in fascination. 😆 😆
I noticed that, too. How great to witness that?! {{{{chills}}}}
As you know from experience, just being close to the O’s can be a thrilling experience. {{{{chills}}}} indeed. Good ones!
YES!!
Donna, these are the words of truth that I wish were plastered along every highway in America instead of McDonalds and Burger King signs.
The day I opened my paycheck and found I had been put on salary ( and was not even told about it ) was the day I decided to work less, not more.
I will have to disagree with you Linda. I work very hard, and don’t get bonus or extra pay. I work for the benefit of our clients and for the personal satisfaction of a job well done. I work to keep my mind sharp and occupied. Without work, what would be the pleasure of leisure?
Zimmerman only drew 20 people to get his autograph at that gun show…He was there 6 hours.
And that was 20 too many but a fool is born every minute so….
This guy is shameless, heartless, a pure fool.
Interesting…when it was being reported the news station did not show the people in line….
Our culture’s sickness for guns continues but this miserable failure will meet his fate with karma.

Still the same ol’ sweetie pie (classless, crass bully), I see. Compare with how PBO masterfully engages his hecklers. Night and day.
hmmm, let’s just compare and contrast some responses to hecklers, shall we?
It’s okay for a white man to act the way Christie do, but don’t dare let a black man or black woman show any anger.
AB, it is NOT okay for any decent human being to act the way Christie does. The people who come to these meetings are his constituents. Showing contempt for them makes him a disgusting creep who isn’t worthy of any elected office. He is utterly repellent in every way.

Christie is an ass.
A huge one nospin.
I agree. I am fervently hoping for the “perp walk” for him.
Now, had that been said by a Dem……that will be all the media would talk about ditching the Missing Plane and the Sen Feinstein and CIA tit for tat.
So true what Lyndon B. Johnson, so true.
Priceless.
