          I know, eh. I can’t believe CarolMae came right back on without a break! /smh/

          CarolMae, you remind me of my mother who doesn’t always follow doctor’s orders when she should. Being me, I simply told her – ‘You are an adult and free to make your own choices. If/when your choices backfire and you are in pain, please do not moan and groan in my hearing.’ I confess that I don’t handle sickness very well….which is ONE reason I didn’t not pursue studies in that area despite mother and grandmother pushing for it.

        So good to see you! I hope you are recovering well!

          Good to see you. My eye became very swollen Sat. On call Dr. said it was probably nothing to worry about but I’m calling again today. I’m not sure if I was allergic to the bandages or maybe all the eye drops. It doesn’t hurt though. Thanks for asking.

    The impacts of global warming are likely to be “severe, pervasive and irreversible”, a major report by the UN warns.

    With that good great news, I am really out this time.

          I fear for the animals. We have brought this on ourselves, they did not ask for it. To imagine a human population of nine billion, vying for diminishing resources and viable land, who is not amazed that our hot topic at present is freaking birth control!! Uh, Hello? I gotta go to sleep, wishing everyone a rest, and our First Family peace and continued strength.

            The animals will survive longer than we.

            Goodnight and peace and strength to you, as well.

              Perhaps so, JO’B, but what quality of life do we leave them, contaminated water, habitat destroyed, oceans filled with toxic waste – how are they to raise their young as they attempt to adapt. Previously, animals fared somewhat successfully to changes in environment, but never in history have they faced such dire environmental disarray. We already know an unprecedented number of extinctions have occurred. They and we are all dependent on the same balanced system to survive. Bless you for your reassurance, and thank you for your kindness.

      I have a Kasper story that will have to wait until tomorrow and a real keyboard instead of this toy they call a tablet. Let’s just say Kasper could have given notes to the kid playing Jesus in the high school production of Jesus Christ Superstar I had to endure this afternoon. Kasper gets the Tony award. Just sayin’

      what is up this ? I saw twitter messages warning a fight with Anonymous would happen tonight but I did not think people are crazy enough to engage in stuff like this

        I think this is a protest against a police shooting. Will probably know more details tomorrow. Unreal, isn’t it?

    my thoughts on what is happening in Albuquerque:

    earlier this evening, I saw tweets in my timeline which were from accounts claiming to be from Anonymous;

    these tweets were warning the Albuquerque PD that Anonymous would be attacking them and giving a time period when they would occur;

    these tweets even had photos of the squad cars of the Albuquerque PD and they seem to have been fighting over something I could not make out;

    the messages claimed that the PD is now a “publicly-declared enemy” of Anonymous and that they would be fighting it tonight => crazy stuff ;

    of course I ignored them because I do not engage in physical activities against law enforcement and I really could not believe people were serious (because some accounts had real names and messages were there in public view so can be traced);

    staying tuned

    on Saturday, many of us here expressed our hope that PBO would not be bothered by urgent world events for at least one day;

    well, it seems that 1 day of rest is exactly what he has got and now the two Koreas are shooting at each other;

    damn, so many people around the world who want to show they are all powerful because they have big guns, rockets, missiles, bombs to shoot at each other;

    and all this crap is laid at the feet of PBO to solve

      Truly disgusting! I bet North Korea is trying to take advantage of the crisis in Ukraine. Instead of this idiot boy dictator trying to feed his people he is out there trying to start a war.

    ‘ Three Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee have asked the Government Accountability Office to examine recent declines in federal-worker morale and how to reverse the trend.

    Reps. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), who is the panel’s ranking member, along with Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) and Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.), said in a letter to the GAO last week that pay freezes and furloughs caused by across-the-board budget cuts and last year’s government shutdown have taken a toll on the federal workforce. ‘

      decline in morale is expected – what with a reduced pay and constant insults from elected gop officials who are determined to hand every government function to their donors in the private sector

      Start by asking Boner how his morale is, and his inner circle, prolly they feel just fine with this concern.
