Morning all. Those little Brownies are adorable. It’s no wonder they’re all wearing crowns–they must have felt like little princesses meeting the president. More family visits this week, so lots to do to prepare. Hope everyone is doing well today.

Pakistan violence: Mehsud faction walks out of Taliban.

A split has emerged in the Pakistani Taliban after the major Mehsud faction walked out, saying the group leaders’ tactics were “un-Islamic”.

It is the first major rift in Pakistani Taliban ranks since 2007 when the umbrella group was first formed.

Analysts say the split may help advance peace talks with the government.

Tens of thousands of people have died in militant attacks in Pakistan in the last seven years, most of them claimed by the Taliban.

The rift comes after over a month of infighting in which dozens of fighters from the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed.

The powerful faction comprising militants from the Mehsud tribe – the core around which regional militant groups initially gravitated to form the TTP – said it was forming its own separate group called Tehrik Taliban South Waziristan.

So I see on my TL that SOS John Kerry schooled GOP shill Chris Cuomo on CNN this morning. Here are a few tweets…

Cuomo still hasn’t answered that last question, and something tells me he NEVER will…

If Brian Williams lost credibility interviewing Snowden, then serves him right!

    • May 28, 2014 at 9:03 am

I was against the interview but truth to tell I give Williams credit for getting the dope to admit he was a spy.

Okay…..a spy for whom??? Not the U.S. A spy for us would not leak all the secret info, so……a spy for Russia????? Where is he going with this? How can anyone believe a word the man says.

Given the current situation with Russia/Ukraine – Brian Williams lost any respect and credibility he ever had just by traveling to the country. Wonder who organized when/where he would conduct the interview? Doubt that will be discussed.

Collegekay, as you already know the GOP have never been there.
Just “Walking Dead”. Do nothing and getting paid.
What really disgust me is they will get a huge pension.
My prayer is they will not return after 2014 to do damage to this country and the people who really need help and work hard to support their families. They have a lot of nerve to sit on their racist assess and righteously dictate who gets what and they live for free, cheat when they want, pay off when they need a favor.
My personal opinion is they have been in recess all year.

So very sad. May her beautiful soul RIP
What a woman. What a life she lived.
Heard her last on CNN talking to Anderson on the phone, I think in March, I believe.

Such a beautiful and sweet spirit. May her son, Oprah and so many dear friends be granted peace and comfort. I have her works, taught most of them, especially “Still, I Rise.” She touched a world with her voice, writings, and deeds for the goodness of all of his. May she rest in peace. Thank you, Dr. Maya Angelou for touching my heart.HZ
