Wow! Pocantico Hills is right near my home town. It’s a truly beautiful area to have a wedding. Glad they all had a good time.

I liked that there were cows grazing and a bunch of chickens pecking around an open pen there when the Obama entourage arrived. (may be my Iowa background, my admiration of cows and the fact that I had a pet chicken when I was a wee tot)

Dotster, I had a pet Banti Rooster I used to dress up and put in my decorated wagon (my float) to pull around. I liked parades. I tried to harness my Border Collie to pull it, but she would have no part of it.

Mr. Knoller implies that the President can’t be spontaneous when having relaxing time with family and friends. Yet, thoughtless, hot-headed responses are what he and his ilk look for when the President is dealing with conflicts in other countries, as well as the issues in this country.

We (*I*) should really learn to say “pshaw” to these juvenile, irritating, often preposterous comments made in the media — both mainstream and social. While often made in contempt and envy, they are also made for the purpose of getting a rise out of Obama supporters. We should continue to take our cue from PBO and brush off these comments; stay focused and classy, and continue to be the adults in the room.

Well good for the First Family. I hope they did enjoy themselvesWith all the B.S. POTUS and FLOTUS have to deal with, and the girls are old enough now to hear and understand things said about their parents, so if they enjoyed Sam Kass-Alex Wagner wedding, good for them.

so it IS Sunday? I am a bit befuddled so I wasn’t sure.

Happy Sunday, Ms Chips, Alma-b, Dotster, SW and anyone else my sweeping eyes missed!
Happy Sunday too, to those dropping in later!

It’s been raining for hours here, and the sky is dreary and overcast; not too sure what that will mean to our plans for visiting the Montmorency Falls and the Ste-Anne de Beaupré Cathedral. Time will tell.

Well I’m so happy that the whole media spectrum at least got a a couple hrs sleep before daybreak – seeing that they couldn’t rest until they ensured that the President and the First Family were back in at the WH….(//sarcasm alert)…

I wish the First Family were able to stay over night, then go to the U.S. Open, but I guess we would have never heard the last of it from the right wing haters and the media haters. Kind of like the childish B.S. about the tan suit.

They are obsessed with this President. I don’t know what they’ll do in 2017. Probably even more depressed than we are. The next President (HRC or not) just won’t be as interesting to cover on a daily basis.

Morning Chips and all. I wish every one safe travels today and on Labor Day. We’re got heavy storms predicted today and every day until mid week. The NATO gathering should be interesting and tense. I was glad to see Bob’s post about Merkel finally reaching her limit. Wish I could believe that anything would stop Putin at this point.

LETTER: Obama didn’t cause Iraq’s problems

It is easy to blame President Barack Obama for withdrawing all U.S. troops from Iraq, leading to the rapid advance of ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

Does anyone remember two of the first things U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Paul Bremer did in 2003? One was to totally disband the Iraqi army, leaving thousands of soldiers unemployed with their weapons. …

Many of today’s problems go back to the carving up of the Middle East following World War I by Great Britain and France. In order to win the war, promises were made to the Arab leaders who were double-crossed following the war. … It may be too late to establish a stable, lasting, peaceful Middle East — Iraq, Iran, Syria, Palestine and Israel appear to be unsolvable problems. http://www.courierpostonline.com/story/opinion/readers/2014/08/31/letter-obama-cause-iraqs-problems/14897857/

Anyone with any sense knows President Obama didn’t cause the problems going on in Iraq. The right want to make a big deal about no American troops being lefted in Iraq, even though the Iraq leader didn’t want any Americans troops left. I just feel like it is time for the people of Iraq to stand up and fight for their country. When if not now. Instead some bow down and gave up to evil terrorists group like ISIS. It’s not our job to sit over there and baby sit them. Bush-Cheney had no business invading Iraq in the first place. I will never let the right wing forget that.

Be sure to tune into MTP today, everyone! Andrea Mitchell will be hosting! and The Shrew and Di-fi will be blabbing in depth about how PBO is “Too Cautious” and “Disconnected” from his security team and allies! Sounds like a Must See to me, hahahahaha, if you like to listen to a bunch of junk.

O, NerdyW, be merciful; it is Sunday morning after all! Couldn’t you just whisper that Chelsea won without highlighting the score? Poor Chips must be so embarrassed, she’s hiding in the closet ……along with Gx2.
