Reading the comments on huffingtonposts darling Warren. Personally I got so ill with anger that I was forced to leave it. Not surprised or anything because this is usually how progressives end up defeating themselves. Act reactionary with no vision that is realistic and go out of their way to harm the democrats.

you mean april 2015. WOW, it over 3 mill already, it was just 1.7mill a bit ago. Yeah, and darn DNC and dems wannna act crazy and distance themselves. I feel like they just don’t want to “owe” us ( as in be responsive) to their constituents. Some of these folks ain’t worked so hard on the hill in their lives!

      • May 18, 2015 at 7:25 pm

Sorry for confusion, elo … PBC is short for Pres B Clinton. It took him and his wife more than 2 years to get to 3+M. I suspect it’ll take President Obama a few more days πŸ™‚

    Scum …

“Last week, the Vatican edged close to formal recognition of a Palestinian state, finalizing a treaty in which for the first time, the Holy See makes explicit reference to a “state of Palestine.”

Israel’s Foreign Ministry, while voicing disappointment at the move, was unusually circumspect in its initial response, stating that the use of the term Palestinian state “does not advance the peace process.”

Considerably less restrained was a lead columnist for U.S. billionaire Sheldon Adelson’s Israel Hayom newspaper, Dror Eydar, who has doubled as a well-paid speechwriter and adviser on Christian affairs for the Prime Minister’s Office.

In a Sunday column headlined “An open letter to Pope Francis,” Eydar signals that in signing a treaty with what the columnist calls an “Arab-Palestinian state,” the Vatican has made a “pathetic decision” which is lending aid to “the latest attempt to nail the entire Jewish people to the cross.””

So. Everyone thinks Bill Clinton’s tweet to POTUS was hilarious.

I just saw it through my usual Clintonlens which is that both Clintons do anything they can to get in the spotlight.
PBO generously allowed Bill’s tweet to catch some attention. PBO is a much bigger and better person than I could ever be.

you know, i can definitely see thru that lens, however, i was thinking about this the other day… the rightwing gop has basically 2? families that can been seen as leading GOP families? the bushes? romneys? yuck. I was thinking we are going to need to make that alliance for the betterment of our party. the clintons and definitely the obama’s will be a driving force behind democratic politics for many years.

I dunno what all i’m trying to say, but i’ve been forcing myself to be more positive with HRC and bill. The last thing the dems need (and what the GOP/MSM would love to see) is a serious civil war between the clinton camp and all us obama supporters.

I said that too. And another way of looking at it is the President was trying to ask him if he wanted to be the next Flotus; kind of mocking him I don’t like the Clintons and don’t trust their motives.

Personally, I’m waiting for Bill Clinton’s tweet to be buried in the President’s timeline, and then I’ll visit his page again. But our President handled it well, as usual.

On the day @POTUS gets over a million followers in just a few short hours Bill O’Reilly is also trending on Twitter but not for anything good. Trending due to accusations of domestic violence.

I was thinking about Clinton’s tweet and in all seriousness, I’m not sure the @POTUS handle is portable to the next president. I would think for archiving, security and other reasons that it would not be and the next prez would have to choose @POTUS45 or something unweildy. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I keep thinking about what happen in Waco Texas yesterday, and if that was black biker gang, folks at Fox would be blaming the entire black community. That’s what happen when you are raised on welfare, with no father, in the ghetto. No one is blaming the entire white race for the behavior of those killers, are they?

A tweet from David Catanese quotes HRC, “I will fight to keep the ACA and make the necessary changes.”

Huh?? A calculated, vague, and mildly threatening statement. At least some folks will hear this and worry that their new health benefits may be at risk.

If HRC wanted to get the Obama Coalition on board, she would be saying, “The ACA has been wonderful for millions of American families and I am devoted to keeping and extending its benefits to an increasing number of our people.”

If there is friction between the Clinton Camp and the Obama Coalition Hillary has only herself to thank/blame. Not the media and certainly not Obama’s fans. The RW would like us to share the blame if Clinton fails. Why would any of us co-operate by participating in the charade?
We will keep our sanity if we stand strongly for what we believe. Caving now and asking one another to play nice, before we actually have a candidate is unnecessary. If HRC is the Dem candidate, that will be the point at which getting over hard feelings and working for the greater good makes sense. Not now.
