Now they are finally vetting him and it turns out that what we see now is not just Sanders snarling like a cornered rat because he is losing; it appears that a snarling cornered rat is who he is. I have been really really trying to be calm, giving him every benefit of the doubt when interacting with his supporters, but I can not do that any more. This man is a snake.

“In other words, Sanders is using dog-whistles to remind people that being president is a “man’s” job. If he is nominated, I doubt we’ll see much emphasis on women’s issues.
“During the 1986 race for governor of Vermont, Bernie Sanders bristled at the popularity of the Democratic incumbent, Madeleine Kunin. Mr. Sanders, who was running against her as an independent, saw himself as a leader, and viewed Ms. Kunin as a lightweight.
“She does very well on television,” he told one interviewer. “She has an excellent press secretary.”
But really, he said another time, the governor’s appeal came down to one trait.
“Many people are excited because she’s the first woman governor,” he said. “But after that, there ain’t much.””

He’s a big, sexist, ass dogwhistling for the other sexist asses.

Now we know why hardly any of his colleagues from Congress support him after working with him all those years – even the ones from Vermont.

      • April 18, 2016 at 11:46 pm

He is just a nasty, self-righteous man. I wonder if his female supporters will be ticked off by the blatant sexism. Really some of his comments made my skin crawl.

I want Senator Sanders gone. Far. Very far!

Because of him and his YU-U-U-U-U-GE rallies of young revolutionaries, I haven’t been able to watch TV at all for the anxiety caused by the pundits about his surging, his polls, the size of his rallies, etc.

I so wish the primaries were over and Bernie Sanders free to return to the Senate where he fillibusters bills from his own party.

      • April 18, 2016 at 10:31 pm

Me too, NCLB. He is as bad as the GOP when it comes to making up his own facts…and the MSM let’s him get away with it, just as they do with the GOP.

The whole thing about him not being paid for speeches…he says it as if he doesn’t accept payment, but the fact is he CAN’T accept payment.

I hate that whenever something is said that can be considered a negative for HRC, the media jumps on it and makes it a top story for days. Yet, all the unethical tactics, the bad behavior, etc. by Bernie, his campaign staff, his surrogates, and his supporters have gotten little more than a glance.

I’m with you on that hope, Judith. At this point, I just want the Bernie campaign to end so I don’t have to see his red faced, finger wagging or hear endless repetitions of the same stump speech. So many of his supporters are rude bullies, while others seem almost cult like their inability to see through his BS. Enough is enough. We have a major battle in the fall and we can’t continue to have this constant undermining of the Democratic Party from someone who has no business running as a Democrat.

Where were those comments in 2004, 2008, and 2012, not to mention in 2010 and 2014???

NCLB, we all know we would not be hearing about the defects of the New York voting system if Bernie were winning. Somehow the cockamamie systems in the caucus states were just fine because he won them. If Hillary won, then either the system was bad or she did something corrupt. Losing is never Bernie’s fault in his warped world.

But is he complaining about the voter id laws which are removing 100% the right to vote for many people?

      • April 18, 2016 at 11:48 pm

EXACTLY!!! Him and all his supporters are up in arms because they can’t vote in the PRIMARY – while ignoring the fact that so many can’t vote in the actual ELECTION because of GOP chicanery and he’s not calling them out – it’s the DEMS who are corrupt, right?

Oh, Nerdy dahling, tears actually started squirting from my eyes when I read the President’s tweet. Thank you – would have missed it, otherwise.

We all need t-shirts after Jan 2017 that read: “We carry on. We finish the race.”

    • April 18, 2016 at 11:51 pm

I bet there will be a t-shirt with that on it ready to sell tomorrow. Do you remember the 2008 debate when McCain referred to Candidate Obama as “that one”? I went on line **that night!** and ordered a sweatshirt that said, “I’m voting for that one”. It came a few days later. 😀

We’ve all enjoyed ourselves so much with “the little things,” haven’t we? It’s been almost a decade of it, and we haven’t stopped loving the age of Obama. Truly, we’ve been lucky. Goodnight to you!

Bernie’s idea of a revolution is every candidate for himself. All need to fund raise their own campaigns from the underpaid, over taxed oppressed public. The Young NYC Public Housing expert that was on Lawrence’s show had both Hillary and Bernie come tour the Housing with him. He endorsed Bernie tonight on O’Donnell’s Show. I bet Bernie promised him that he would fix everything and put a chicken in every pot.

        April 19, 2016 at 1:10 am

I’m sure he already made up his mind before they toured.

      • April 19, 2016 at 7:12 am

I had the volume down when that came on, but saw the banner at the bottom of the screen, OG. In all the promises, I bet he didn’t say *how* he would do it.

The problem HRC will have (and what PBO has had) is the people who don’t want to operate within the realm of realism. They are promised rainbows and pie in the sky. The Bernie’s of the world make them believe it’s no big deal to make it happen. When it doesn’t happen, they don’t look at the person who made the false promises…they look at the rational ones who never promised it in the first place.

It struck me how true this is. I hope it gets more headway. This is a meme I can get behind and one that means very much to me. Thanks for bringing it here.
