      You’re welcome, Chips.

I love that she celebrates them and brings stars from different walks of life to cheer them as much as high school athletes receive cheers when they sign on to colleges for football, basketball, golf, baseball, etc.

Local and national news outlets are recognizing the students because she put a national spotlight on them.

They must be using exit polls or that EPIC monologue Jeff Perry aka Cyrus Rutherford Beene gave in Scandal S2 – Truth or Consequences: (Cyrus is speaking to political fixer Olivia Pope)

You know what our electoral process is! It’s magical! It’s like believing in Santa or the Tooth Fairy or the Easter Bunny Magical, as long as they believe.
What you’re doing is telling the people that the shiny presents and the bulging stockings on Christmas morning are just mom and dad staying up all night to do the work.
You’re telling them we’re Santa, we’re the Easter Bunny, we’re the Tooth Fairy.
You’re taking the magic away! You’re ruining Christmas morning, and the whole Republic is gonna come crumbling down because you’re not tough enough to do what needs to be done!

I read that they had a lot of mail in ballots already counted.

    • April 26, 2016 at 8:07 pm

And I’m pretty sure they damn well know that she has won PA & CT as well, but they need to pretend it’s close to get ratings.

I am sure Bernie and his supporters will now classify Maryland as a deep Southern state that won’t matter during the general election in November.

Apple reported a 13% drop in its second quarter revenue on Tuesday as sales of iPhones slipped.

The technology giant reported quarterly sales of $50.56bn (£34.39bn) down from $58bn last year – the first fall in sales for the company since 2003.

Apple sold 51.2 million iPhones during the quarter, down from 61.2 million in the same quarter of 2015.

China was a particular weak spot – sales there fell 26%. Results were also hit by the impact of a stronger dollar.

Apple’s chief executive Tim Cook said the company performed well “in the face of strong macroeconomic headwinds”.

Apple’s quarterly profit slipped to $10.5bn from $13.5bn.

I think the drop off had something to do with getting into that encryption fight w/ the Justice Department who wanted them to unlock a couple iphones so they could see what two terrorists were up to after killing 14 people. Refusing to help w/ national security stuff was poor judgement on their part. They should’ve kept the fighting private.

I called my county courthouse today to verify the information I got earlier to wait for the Mail on Friday and if my ballot was not in my mailbox to go to the courthouse and get a ballot that day. Upon checking if that was still what I should do after explaining I was having surgery followed up by time in a skilled care center afterwards and my mail would be held at the post office. I told her I would not be returning home until after the ballots were due in. She said that plan sounds right unless I wanted to come in before that time to get my ballot. Sooooo I decided to go get it and vote now.

    I just voted for HILLARY!!!

Not quite as excited as in ’08 and ’12, but never the less happy to vote for Hillary. I am hearing the Donald has won all five states tonight. Scares me! Sure want the Dems, which means Hillary to win the Presidency.

Van Hollen projected to win Maryland Senate Democratic primary

Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) is the projected winner of the Democratic Senate primary in Maryland. The race to fill an open seat being vacated by Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski after 30 years had been close and contentious.

Hopefully there will be more political opportunities for Rep Edwards. Van Hollen is a well-known and I dare say probably the “establishment” candidate. But as you said, he’s a good alternative. I also liked him as my former rep when I lived in the district. He was a very vocal supporter of PBO and the ACA during the gov’t shutdown in 2013.

Trump is encouraging Sanders during his winner’s speech to run Independently in the General because the Democratic Party has treated him so unfairly. Actually it could be a strategy to take votes away from Hillary so Trump can win.

Hillary is staying on topic with Bernie & she only has to do the same against Trump. Listened to a few seconds of Trump tonight – all he can do is attack his opponents because they are “bad” or “wrong” or whatever – absolutely no policies whatsoever. As has been said – there has NEVER been a more ignorant know nothing person before winning a GOP nomination – actually winning ANY nomination – for President.

This isn’t just important for voting. It is also extremely important to getting people into the electoral pipeline in the first place. That registration is the first step in identifying, encouraging, and preparing new candidates to run for office themselves. When Party identification is declining our bench is getting shallower. Missing out on talent, I’m sure, also contributes to the massive losses we’ve suffered in local and state elections.
