Why are we not surprised? The guy is a pontiff stalker, he knows at the WWCD he will get his name and his mug on the news. Prolly hoping PBO will recognize and point out his presence. Hope PBO totally ignores same.

This is what the deep end looks like:

  4. April 30, 2016 at 1:39 pm

Does anyone have a good estimate for PBO´s speech tonight, time wise? Since it´s my middle-of-the-night i´d like to optimise my sleeping pattern 😀

I have a social calendar , ya know ! It’s not that busy, but I have one!

          April 30, 2016 at 2:35 pm

I have a social calendar as well, its called going to work every day and driving home and having my son text me to bring him Subway home. He doesn’t even ask me about my day, just a cold uncaring text devoid of empathy. I remember when he was younger he’d meet me at the door smiling wanting to jump in arms, now he doesn’t even look up whenever I enter the room. So you know what I do, when I get home my wife and I talk about our day then I retreat upstairs to my man cave where I rule over this space that I’ve created, my domain, my inner sanctum. The place where I can contemplate life in solitude.

Are you whining right now? no whining allowed…Everyone with kids knows this feeling:) Enjoy the wife and the man cave…they always come back around when they need something. All good.

My social calendar seems to mainly consist of medical appointments – aging doesn’t agree with me.

So FLOTUS and POTUS will arrive at the WHCD at what time?

It is true! And after he leaves….we won’t care anymore about it. 😀 😀

This President and First Lady has turn everything into the hottest ticket. When they leave the WH alot of things won”’t be worth watching. Even the Press Conferences.

      • April 30, 2016 at 2:39 pm

Maybe I shouldn’t say this but I never use to watch the SOTU. Commencement speeches, trips overseas, I know I wasn’t following what the other First Ladies were doing.

          April 30, 2016 at 3:10 pm

Same here, bella, I’d occasionally watch a SOTU address when Bush and Clinton were in office but I’d just have it on in the background. Now its like I hang on every word President Obama has to say, I even watch the daily press briefings. Now don’t get me wrong I followed politics my entire adult life but it seemed a bit different when PBO got elected.

        • April 30, 2016 at 3:26 pm

Bella, you’re not by yourself on this and I consider myself a practitioner of monitoring political information.

Hi Annieb, I was wondering if something was wrong with my laptop as I refreshed several times with no new comment. 😉 I guess everyone else is resting up for the night of festivities ahead.

        • April 30, 2016 at 4:29 pm

Hey vc, There’s not too many people commenting. Resting up, as you said. 😃 I am reading a fantastic book: The Residence. Inside the Private World of the White House. I HIGHLY recommend it!!

I just love him. Heart and soul:)

    http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/04/barack-obama-killer-comedian-in-chief/480441/

No U.S. President has been a better comedian than Barack Obama. It’s really that simple.

Now that doesn’t mean that some modern-day presidents couldn’t tell a joke. John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton excelled at it. But Obama has transformed the way presidents use comedy—not just engaging in self-deprecation or playfully teasing his rivals, but turning his barbed wit on his opponents.

He puts that approach on display every year at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. This annual tradition, which began in 1921 when 50 journalists (all men) gathered in Washington D.C., has become a showcase for each president’s comedy chops. Some presidents have been bad, some have been good. Obama has been the best. He’s truly the killer comedian in chief.

Df, I can’t think of anything PBO hasn’t been ‘best’ at. He’s transformed every presidential activity into a special event.

Nor can I df – they truly turned it into a people’s house – I sure won’t see such folks again in the White House. The impossible act to follow.

I think he learned it all from his wife, Michelle. She is so good at teasing him even the girls 🙂 🙂
