Sorry I didn’t say congrats first Allison. I was in the laundry room, you know, doing clothes and things, still am. But I have to enter my name and email address every time I make a comment on my iPhone. Pain in the butt. So belated congrats on taking in the 1st place.

Waking up to the idea of dealing with DT for the next six months is like waking up to find your nightmare is true. It’s really frightening to think of what this country has become.

GM, jackieG! I’ve talked with a couple people I know who aren’t ultra political, and even they are up to date on Trump’s antics and are frightened about the prospects. Unreal.

Hi, JO’B. People need to keep on being afraid because the threat is real and because fear will motivate them to vote. This is not the year for any Democrat to think his/her vote doesn’t matter. If there are long lines, we will have to help people endure them with water, snacks, treats for the children and encouragement to stick it out. I remember doing this is 2008–helping the elderly and handicapped move to the front of the line or providing fold up chairs, playing with the children, giving out water for the thirsty and lollipops for the kids. Anything we need to do to make sure people vote, we do it.

The Trump Candidacy has revealed what was always there Jackie…it has just never been in the face of white America…although blk folks and others have always seen it…

even now…some white folks want to brush it aside…and that goes for the purists as well…who will continue to throw rocks at Hillary in an attempt to mask their own racism and privilege….but we see them too

For every Berniebot who says he/she won’t vote for Hillary, we will have to find new voters who will. People are becoming new citizens every day and we have to be sure they vote along with anyone newly eighteen by November. Bernie is a poison and new voters are the antidote.

HRC has a good chunk of PBO’s former campaign staff either working for her directly or advising her. She also has PBO himself in her corner, so I’m sure she’s covering every angle there is.

Thanks, AMK. Right now, we’re at image #3. Hope we get to #4 on June 7. Bernie Sanders has so mismanaged his funds that he’s going to be in a world of debt. If he doesn’t stop pulling against the Democratic Party, he’s going to find himself out there on his own, in debt and deprived of both good committee assignments in the Senate and support for his re-election. Your choice, Bernie. The sharks are waiting.

Not only is that a stunning turnout that should put US voters to shame, but the ladies saris are so much more interesting than the ubiquitous jeans and t-shirts we see at every polling place.

The media will be our enemy in the general election and we have to fight back. Read Paul Krugman’s take on how the media will try to soften Trump’s image and distort Hillary’s positions. Media pundits will make every effort to pull the “both sides do it” nonsense even though there’s is nothing even remotely comparable between them. They will, as usual, focus on every negative poll for Hillary and exaggerate Trump’s strengths. It’s going to take a lot of alka seltzer to get us through to next November.

Indeed Jg. The good news is that people are more savvy and on to the media’s antics. We’ve seen this movie before – during pretty much the entire Obama Presidency. I hope the HRC campaign is prepared to do its part in neutralizing the media’s toxic propaganda effort – the way the Obama campaign did in 2008 and 2012.

      GM Meta.

Trump is such an enduring nightmare, can’t believe the GOP/MSM have subjected this country to such humiliation by pandering to Southern whites who have infected their #WhiteIsRight mindset throughout this nation.

Wish someone would remind those who share this POV that the South was the losing side in the “War Between The States.”

She wrote some book, but I didn’t read it or want to hear anything she said. I have said this before the only book I want to read is the one President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama write.

And I am so grateful to PBO.

So, one of the three big hospitals in my area offered me a job and I couldn’t be more grateful. Last week after nearly five years working in child welfare, I left that job to take a job with the hospital to work with the Ryan White program. I will be doing some supportive counseling and case management with my clients with HIV/AIDS. This week was a reprieve for me. The first time I have had any real time off in a year. But Monday and Tuesday, I go to orientation and on Wednesday, start my new endeavor. I am looking forward to this new phase in my work life.

Originally, I had planned to relocate to Maryland to be close to family. But with my son in school in this area and my need to be close to him when he needs me, I decided to put my move on hold until he graduated. I had decided to stay at my old job until then. But then I got this offer, which will be much less stressful for me and will give me a chance to help another population. I will work four 10 hour days with Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays off (a dream schedule) thankfully, coming from the long hours as before.

In any case, I am truly blessed and grateful for this opportunity. I look forward to a new challenge.
