Congrats, Don! I’ve missed a lot lately and will be off the grid for almost the whole month of June. I’ll be thinking of all you wonderful TOD people in DC when I’m in Peru. If you get to meet POTUS, FLOTUS, or the canines, Bo & Sunny, give them a big hug from me.

I’ve always thought of Zero as the number for God. If you add any number, into infinity, with its opposite (-1 + 1, -2 + 2, …) each pair will collapse into Zero. Zero contains infinity within itself; it is both nothing and everything. 🙂

Bernie is entirely dishonest. He is outside the stream of liberal democracy and has been a life-long advocate of marxist government. His hero is Fidel Castro. Has been a lifelong opponent of the Democratic Party and its principles for governance.

ELKHART, Ind. — A lot has happened in the 108 years Lester Townsend has been on this planet. He grew up as the grandson of a slave. He lived through the Civil Rights Era and has seen race relations grow over the last century. And Wednesday, he got to meet the first African-American President of the United States. Lester Townsend, 108, had never met a sitting U.S. President before. He’s lived through a number of them, 19 to be exact, dating back to Theodore Roosevelt who was President from 1901-1909. Townsend, born in 1908, has surely done a lot in his life but meeting the first African-American President of the United States was something extra special given his family’s history. “It means a lot because my grandfather was a slave,” Townsend said. “Being the grandson of a slave and meeting the President of the United States, that’s thrilling to me.”

Townsend was able to get into Wednesday’s speech at Concord High School thanks to a friendship he forged with current Democratic Nominee for the Indiana 2nd District, Lynn Coleman. “I’m here today with a young man who is 108 years old,” Coleman said. “We’re here to bring Mr. Townsend here so he has an opportunity to witness this. He’s 108 years old and has never seen a President of this country before in person. It’s extremely exciting for the President to be here but it’s more exciting for me for Mr. Townsend to have an opportunity to witness it. He’s an exceptional man. To be able to call him a friend and someone I looked up to for years, it’s a blessing…..continued”

Sup, Meta! You ready for Finals Game 1 tomorrow 😎

Oh, HEY!! YESSS, I’m ready for the finals, especially since it will be carried by the network and I can watch in real time!

Interesting background on Mansoor. You’re a SMART one!!!!

        • June 2, 2016 at 12:28 am

I can’t wait for tomorrow….selfishly I want Lebron to win on in Cleveland and bounce.(Only time I wouldn’t be pulling for the Warriors) I feel he will be imprisoned to that fan base until the Cavs win a title. Considering how creative he and his agent Rich Paul are….they created the playbook on leverage and power over the owners in free agency (He signed a 2 year deal with the option to leave after one last year) which is the same thing he did two years ago when he left Miami. This is like a Damocles sword over that POS owner Dan Gilbert, and all other players are following his lead (see Kevin Durant…unrestricted FA that will sign the same 2 year/ 1yr opt out in July) …because of the new collective bargaining agreement the NBA salary cap is going to grow exponentially over the next 2 years (by rule teams have to spend a minimum 90% of the cap no matter what) and Lebron, Kevin Durant, and Westbrook would be able to get max contracts of 40 million plus by using the contract option he set up. They would all be free agents and could form a new super team if they wanted too. All that being said…I think Golden State is going win in 6. Klay Thompson is unguardable and Iguodola will probably lock down Lebron again. For the Cavs to have any chance J.R. Smith & Kevin Love are going to have to play out of their minds…..don’t see that happening consistently over a 7 game stretch. Another good thing about the CB agreement is it is set up to reward the team you are already a part of (In Curry’s case G.S. can give him a 5 year deal $210 million+) ….got keep him considering they are building a stadium….but, if you leave your current team, then the max you can get right now is 4 yr ~105 million. Incentives to stay with a team are built in. Check out this unbelievable stat:

Hey there stranger!!!! I thought I would go off on a intricate tangent about collective bargaining and player contracts (my old NFL agent stomping grounds) with the slight chance I could possibly cause a you a headache if you happened to be lurking…..

JK 🙂 🙂 glad to hear from you….hopefully we can catch up more this weekend (finally have a few days of free time) GN, VC!

WHOA, you’ve gamed this out!! Interesting take. I think GS will win but it will be grueling. They’re motivated but a bit spent. Hopefully we’ll see them at their best, as long as there’s no big injuries….Klay is really a star……It’s a great team altogether. We’ll see how it plays out but I’m excited for a really good series. Would really love to know PBO’s pick.

I don’t see Curry leaving……he’s got a very attractive set-up here……Wish it didn’t take forever to build the new stadium. It will be grand when it’s done.

I was on hold with AT&T U-verse and figured I would blab for a bit! Here are some fun emojis you can add while tweeting about how ridiculous Steph is gonna be during the Finals….splash bros too 😎 http://www.stephmoji.com/

                Hahahaha! Cool.

Good luck with AT&T. Stand your ground and they eventually listen!!

They are hooking me up with a new 2-channel modem because my DVR playback kept freezing and they couldn’t figure out why my download Mbs was not maxing out for the speed I was paying for (apparently the devices next to the modem [Desktop, two printers] will be on channel 5.0) and the rest of my gadgets (iPad, Amazon Firestick, laptop, wireless TV receivers, etc.will be on 2.4) this new tech allows for maximum download/streaming speed….and I it is gonna be free!!! Got really lucky with the customer service rep I got 😀 GN-Meta

                    • June 3, 2016 at 11:21 am

Warriors may sweep, Meta! Steph/Clay only combined for 20 pts and they still won by 15!!!

                    • June 3, 2016 at 11:57 am

Such a weird game in some ways! But a really great feeling to know how deep the bench is. Cavs never really pulled away. Now the Dubs need to FOCUS.

                    • June 3, 2016 at 12:07 pm

Cleveland’s only leads were 3-0 and 3Q 68-67 after which the Dubs went on a 14-2 run. Bench outscored Cavs 45-9 before they cleared the benches 😕

                    • June 3, 2016 at 12:09 pm

Thanks for the awesome stats AND color!! Can’t wait for the next game……

                    • June 3, 2016 at 12:15 pm

My pleasure, Meta 🙂 ….my focus has shifted to the NCAA Softball Women’s College World Series, where Auburn won yesterday and is 4 wins away from winning the National Championship.

                    • June 3, 2016 at 12:19 pm

Well, then you must be in heaven!!

                    • June 3, 2016 at 12:25 pm

Not yet….still a long way to go. 4 wins if they don’t lose another game. Yesterday’s evening session OU vs. Alabama & Michigan vs. LSU got rained out so the scheduled is all messed up. The tournament is double elimination. The most important game (which was supposed to be tonight) is going to be Auburn playing Georgia (both who won before the rain came yesterday) on Saturday night. If they win that game, then whomever comes out of the losers bracket will have to beat Auburn twice to make it to the best of 3 National Championship series against the other side of the 8-team WCWS bracket…so in the weeds….sorry 🙂

                    • June 3, 2016 at 12:26 pm

That sounds like rocket science to me. Good luck, anyway!!

                    • June 3, 2016 at 12:30 pm

Just tell me to “get off your lawn” ….you’re always kind enough to put up with my sports related, analytics-themed tangents without complaining 😎

                    • June 3, 2016 at 3:43 pm

I’m usually interested in the details of some sports -> strategy, analytics, data. So my lawn is usually an open field!

RV industry employee grateful for President Obama’s return to Elkhart: http://www.abc57.com/story/32107156/rv-industry-employee-grateful-for-president-obamas-return-to-elkhart

“…This is the second visit the President makes to the RV capital of the world and for one Forest River employee President Obama’s visit is personal. “It went from not being able to do anything to being totally wide open like it is right now and that’s due to president Obama and bless his heart for that,” says Andrew Repaich, Elkhart Resident Repaich got emotional thinking about the hard times of 2008. He never lost his job but felt the recession.“It was slow they couldn’t get production done there was no incentives to do nothing because there was no money,” says Repaich. Repaich was at Concord High School the first time the President visited in 2009. “At that time he said I’m going to make it better, and he did that,” says Repaich.

Repaich is a strong believer that President Obama’s financial policies helped turn around the RV industry. “Ya know that’s all due to president Obama if he wouldn’t have done that the county would have been in a lot of trouble,” says Repaich. Holding two tickets in his hands, Repaich says the wait was worth it. “Ya know it isn’t every day you can see the president in Elkhart Indiana and I’m cool with that,” says Repaich.
